    Checking in early as were driving to Charleston today and I don’t want to have to worry about it later. FD yesterday and I was down another pound today so seems to have gone pretty good!

    Day 7, New York City, USA. FD

    Second and last FD of the week. Have politely declined work drinks this evening. and hope to stay on plan. Just have to keep in mind i can have a drink tomorrow!

    Fasting again today n i cannot say enough about how much easier my fasts are again since i went back to meditating 1-2x/day.

    I think any form of deep relaxation would help as the nervous system loves to make us “chew” when its uptight!

    Still no weight change but i think the fasts are working on all my current health issues, so i dont care so so much. I swear i feel less squishy, more tight…and im not exercising enough for this to happen. Even when i eat foods that would usually bloat me, im not getting as bloated. Gut healing continues. Arm:shoulder pain better despite 20 second plank.

    Friend is still hanging on, so im dedicating my fast today to you Jeannie. 😘

    Planning my daughter’s birthday party for tomorrow.. so lots of eating junk but I am not counting now! Have so much on my plate already!

    Day 7, Los Angeles. FD today — water only. Having a minor medical procedure tomorrow with anesthesia, so absolutely no food until noon tomorrow at the earliest. Let’s all keep up the good hard work!

    US SE Day 7 NFD. All going well. Managed to lose one pound this week which I’m happy about as we had the holiday and I thought I would gain 😊

    Scotland Day 7 FD.

    Did well today and think I will have lost one pound tomorrow. I was a bit worried at the beginning of the week as I was struggling at the start but I seem to have fallen into the familiar rhythm with fast days and have incorporated an eating window of between 4 and 8 hours most days depending on how I feel that day. Be it fast or non fast day the shortened eating window helps my weight loss. I either start eating at 8 am or noon and never eat after 1600 hrs I’m hoping to see 9st 3 something tomorrow.

    I’ve done fairly well today, only had a handful of strawberries at lunch and just eaten 3 eggs scrambled with Β½ can baked beans and a yogurt for tea, for something so simple it tasted sooo nice.

    I am going to weigh myself daily for 2 weeks and then I think I will post my weight once per week.

    Today’s weigh – 238.8lbs.

    Just off out to walk the pooch.

    Doing ok today on FD. Still not easy, but I’m keeping busy. Ran 3 miles on the treadmill this morning. I just couldn’t face the heat and humidity again. Ate 2 eggs after and just had some vegetable soup. Will have chicken and some more vegetables before bed tonight. Looking forward to weighing in tomorrow. I took a peek today and I’m down!

    Jayney I weigh myself every day at 7am and 7pm and keep a record as it keeps me on track. Your dinner sounded nice πŸ™‚

    Dahliafan don’t be disheartened you will likely have still eaten less than you normally would. I never eat less than 600 cals on a fast day and still lose weight. I lost 2 stone doing this the first time around. It’s easy to get down and think that you can’t do it because everyone else seems better at it but the beauty of this plan is we all find our own path. On non fast days I try to limit my intake from 800 to 1300 cals despite my TDEE being higher. Mind you my short eating windows help me stick to these amounts. It’s a case of falling off the horse and getting straight back on again πŸ˜‰

    Fast Day and so far just water. Instead of walking this morning (too humid) or using treadmill – I spent a couple of hours before work cleaning. Had to do it!
    Last night I made a fish stock, bottled and froze most of it, but using 5 cups and making shrimp bisque soup later, good dinner for tonight.

    Just come back from my evening brisk walk. Nearly one hour, probably at least three miles. Planning to fast tomorrow. Lets hope it’s better than yesterday’s…!

    Well I made it through the fast day, but only just! Found it quite tough today, although reading others posts, Ive not been the only one today!
    This was my 3rd fast in 7 days, which is the first time of doing that, so maybe thats why today felt harder. Or maybe because I only had about 3 hours sleep last night and my body was below par.
    Anyway I did it and Ive made it through to the end of the first week of the challenge.

    So my achievements for the week:-
    *3 FDs with one meal only of about 25% of TDEE
    3 days of being under allowance of TDEE minus 15%
    (1 day – the first day was 500 cals over allowance!)

    7 days continuous of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred which is 20 mins HIIT
    Lots of gardening

    Healthy food choices all week bar the cider at the festival on day 1.

    Hoping for the scales to be down at least 1 pound from last Friday, but unsure as my digestive system is not working at all well :-/

    Too hot to do much here today. Have eaten sensibly but not tracked calories. Quite difficult with Mum here but will get back to serious measuring/weighing food tomorrow.

    Australia Day 8 NFD – had my first weigh in for this challenge and lost 1kg! I really struggled with my fast day yesterday but managed to stick with it and had liquids only for 36 hours. Off to look after my brother this weekend. Food will be an issue as we are both stress eaters. Will try to be very strong. Have a good weekend all !

    Today I ate under my TDEE, about 1250 calories. I didn’t go walking the village square this morning but went for a forty minute walk this evening with my daughter and my two granddaughters in the pushchair.

    I’ve starting cooking from Justine Pattison recipe books. I have three of them called ” without the calories”. The recipies are all calorie counted and I use them on my nfd. My family likes them even my picky teenager son.

    Tomorrow it’s weight day for me. I hope I’ll be down from 75.3 kilos.

    It seems that one week has passed since the start of the challenge. Good night everyone.

    I know I’ve posted once today, but just got in from a 2 hour walk with the dog, my Fitbit says its 3.9 miles, so pretty pleased with myself. I could really scoff a cake with a cup of tea, but seeing as it’s a FD, I’ll have a large glass of sparkling water with lime.

    Me stressed about the weekend? Noooooooo …. YES! Got up this morning and raced around a few chores to help everyone with my absence for the next 4 days and finished packing so I could get to work on time (I fly to my brother’s this afternoon). Anyway, woke my husband up with his cup of tea, put the radio on for the 7am news and found out it was only 6am! Back to bed with my cup of tea!

    Anna, I see you are from Malta! We had a fabulous holiday there last year. We toured all over the main island and spent a wonderful day on Gozo. Such a beautiful and historic place. You are very lucky!

    NFD today and out with the family on the train to St Ives, had such a great day big salad for lunch. Out with the girls to see Ab Fab movie and returned to grandson gone down with severe sickness again. Poor little mite , so a long night ahead. Had bread a cheese late,shouldn’t have but….. Fast day tomorrow.
    Not been able to read posts but will catch up tomorrow hopefully.

    Sunshine Coast Aus day 8: good morning. Weighed in at 108.8kgs this morning. FD today. Had a handful of nuts for dinner last night and in bed at 6pm. Feeling very drained by whooping cough so curled up under the doona and read “The Rain Queen”. Novel set in Africa. Nearly finished. I’m finding this forum very inspiring. A lot of people seem very active. It makes me feel like a sloth. Never mindπŸ˜„ The weight continues to come off and that’s primary for me at this stage. Have a great day.

    Yesterday I ate exactly 500 cal. If my calculations are correct. It was rough about 3:00 but I ran my errands then to distract myself…..also drank 110 oz of water. Today I woke up with a headache but had a little breakfast and all was good. I am sticking to my TDEE today and will have another FD tomorrow. Biking has been my exercise of choice. Hope you all have a great day

    Well done HannahWatteo and others on your weight loss. I am down by only 0.2kg which reflects my modified goals. I managed a fast till 5pm yesterday on black coffee, water and 1 miso soup. Had handful of almonds then just a moderate dinner outing (way too many outings this week but I want to gradually lose my last bit of weight without declining invites). Nothing eaten till 5pm I find very tough but it will help on days when I am eating out at dinner events and parties.
    Today is another dinner out?! Will try again what I did yesterday. Hopefully life will be more normal next week (max of 1 dinner outing/party per week)

    Changed FD from today to tomorrow. Stayed low TDEE today.
    Planks for 1 min x 2 and squats 10 times for 3 reps, wall push ups x 40. All done very slowly.
    Still cleaning house. Getting older grandkids on Saturday (8 hour trip total) for a week visit (13 y/o girl and 10 y/o boy). OH shakes his head and says “House will be a mess within 2 days”. I say: “I want it nice for them when they get here”. Also, there are layers to dirt and disorganization. I want to know the bottom layers are clean. Strange?

    Felt absolutely wonderful cleaning today! The planks and squats are already making a difference. I can’t believe how much easier it was to vacuum, and move, and get down under furniture. I’m surprised and pleased. Just two weeks since I started!
    Yesterday was a NFD; I ate well but healthy. Today, I had the lowest weight on the scale I’ve seen since early spring of 2011. So surprised! The 3 week stall is over! It will probably take until next week to be permanent, but I know that will happen. Still thrilled!!

    I entirely agree with Edzeko’s post of the other day: this lifestyle will get you to your desired weight over time if you stick with it. It’s just a matter of time. Be patient. I believe the same is true for physical strength and activity. I don’t think anyone needs to push themselves to the point of hating what they are doing. Just do something every day and it will get easier. Then you can do a little more, and a little more. And you will end up being strong and fit! 😊

    California, USA day 7 Today is a FD, went over my 500 cal today when my OH wanted to go out to lunch. I portioned off a small amount to eat, but it really stimulated my appetite the rest of the day. i really need to regroup and get back on track tomorrow.

    Day 7: Pacific NW USA, 16:8 NFD

    I ate well below TDEE yesterday and today. Yesterday I did my fast strength and today HIT on bike. Both yesterday and today were busy getting ready to depart home next week for a month. That included trying on clothes in my closet and finally finding some TOO BIG!!! I did a little shopping and while I still can’t hardly look at myself in the changing room mirror I did find out I’m down at least one size. I say at least, because at a certain point this past year I just started living in stretchy clothes so who knows what actual impressive size I might have attained! I no longer want to wear loose clothing but I need to wait for some of the muffin top and muffin up-side-down top to reduce. Thanks 5:2, I can get back into my Spanx!

    I’m starting to pack my essentials like my new super mini travel scale. (Was it Merryme who first mentioned she had one?) It seems to be calibrated about 1 lb less than my home scale so I will weigh-in on both tomorrow and compare then for the rest of this challenge and add a pound if necessary. (Theo527 – Conveniently all my children who I will be staying with provide me with grass fed cow butter and coffee for my BPC!) I am taking some packets of Miso soup with me because the day I fly out is a FD and I know I can get hot water on the plane. Also packing some nuts and dark chocolate.

    Edzeko – ditto, when I think I might be hungry I’m usually not and I can tell my body/mind is adapting better whether it’s a FD or a NFD.

    Meli – just think of us cheering you on if you have another FD experience like that!

    Slim – I will also dedicate my FD tomorrow to Jeannie!

    1 pound loss for the week and doing a wee cheeky happy dance! 58.5kg today and have set my goal as 56.2kg for this challenge so 5 pounds still to go. I know it doesn’t seem a lot but I desperately want to get back to the 8st 5Ibs I was in Nov 15. I chucked all my big clothes out and me walking around naked is not a sight you want to see! Good luck folks πŸ™‚

    Weigh in today and 2.75 lbs off this week – very happy! 3 weeks before my holidays so hoping to lose another 6lbs.

    Going away for the weekend so going to try and be good and stick to low carb.

    Got home very late last night and couldn’t write up on progress.
    Sorry about that.
    Yesterday was mad.I’m now officially on holiday. Yippee
    So I celebrated by falling off the wagon!!
    Ate and drank to my heart’s content and didn’t worry about it as I knew I would be back in line with the diet today.
    Needless to say today is a fast day!!

    I must admit it’s the first time I haven’t felt guilty about a binge. I am back on the straight and narrow and will continue with this lifestyle. I think it’s because of the support I’m receiving here with you all.

    Really happy with this, although I have worked hard this week.
    BMI is 25.4 so not left the overweight category yet, but will soon.

    This week will be a bit harder as I have to switch to a no fibre/low residue diet for the last 3 days of the week, which may affect my hunger as I wont feel as full. Hopefully the fasting I have been doing will have adapted my body to cope with this.
    So going for 5:2 this week, and attempts at 16:8 if I can, which I didnt do this week.

    Another week of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and at some point this week I move on to level 2.
    I have decided not to carry on with the planks etc, as the JM is quite intense and I can already feel my muscles from that!
    In addition, I have more gardening planned, walking and will attempt a couple of bike rides.

    Week 2 of July blitz….bring it on!

    NH, USA – Day 8

    Good morning and happy Friday! Well, my dreaded weigh in day arrived and I’m thrilled to announce that I am actually down a pound. I’m so shocked considering what the scale had me at last Tuesday morning, but overall, I’m down 1 pound since last Friday. Happy day!

    Today is a NFD and I ended yesterday (my FD) at 300 calories. I hope everyone else had a great week!
