    I realize since I’m in the US, UK is 5 hours ahead of me. While I’m writing my posts it’s almost 10:00 pm in the U.K. I hope some people will see it in the morning.😊

    @notmyrealname. I am interested in the Konjac rice. I would love to have rice and vegs @ 300 calories. Can you give or send me more information?

    Day 9 – Chester UK – FD.

    As others have said @at the spreadsheet is great, must have taken hours, so big thank you from me. Just under 500 calls today and almost bedtime. I’ve been really cold all day today but taking heed of other posters and remaining positive. Tomorrow is a NFD & all evening I’ve been obsessing about having a croissant with my morning coffee. Trying to be mindful – on one hand a rough calculation shows it won’t put me over TDEE if I go for it, on the other hand, is it the start of a slippery slope! Still can’t get used to a diet that allows me to choose a “non-diet” food and not worry about it.

    Weigh in tomorrow morning – that might make my mind up for me!

    Day 9…..Florida…….. NFD

    Back from our adventures, got my kid measured for a tux for prom. Just a basic, black tux with black tie. The girl who measured him, asked if he wanted a bow tie and cummerbund to match what his date was wearing? He goes, pink, I think. Then she says to him, would you like a pink tie to match her dress? He say No, were not getting married, it’s just prom! I never laughed so hard in my life!
    Even managed to get this kid some wing tip shoes too. I did find my boots, knee high with bangles and such. So, excited to wear them to work tomorrow!

    Made it through to 13:50 before I ate lunch then lovely fresh tuna salad for supper. Haven’t read through all the posts tonight but hope everyone did well.

    I have had two days of inappropriate eating. I have not managed to be mindful at all. Please add me to the list of Pocketeers for tomorrow. I will try to copy and paste the list and repost it but I’m not sure if I am techie enough to do that on my iPad.

    I don’t know what it is about me but every once in a while I sabotage all my good efforts. I have a very busy day coming up tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to hold strong with the Pocketeers.

    @ciren2 – we seem to be on the same spiralling pattern. Yes, I will partner with you tomorrow along with the other Pocketeers. Let’s get this fast day show on the road.

    I’m not posting regularly, but I’m still on the plan. Today is a FD, my 3rd this month. I’m down a few pounds, so I feel good about it, though fasting days feel so looooooong sometimes! πŸ™‚

    Tip,
    Have a different drink each hour, mix it up. Tea, bone broth, sparkling water, coffee, green tea. Have some fun too!
    I am back to the Hula Hoop tomorrow, probably square one again, Ha Ha!

    Having a tough couple of days and although have moments of panic – I know I will get back on track – probably as soon as I catch up on all the posts lol.

    @brightonbelle I hope you are all recovered from your procedure

    @goldensun – I just read your post day 7 and feeling humble – thank you.

    Tip if you have copied a post that has disappeared but it won’t let you post it again even when you paste it. When you next enter the pasted version – add a little something at the end of your post and see if that works. I think it is something to do with ‘it’ recognising a duplicate post but if its changed a bit then it should post ok.

    @flourbaby – I so know what you were talking about in your post of day 7. Feeling that way myself.

    @onahealthyhigh – old friend lol – yes I have been here lurking on this forum now since July 2015 WOW when I joined the little voices thread. The challenge threads have been on the go since May 2016. And still not down to my ultimate goal πŸ™ when others who joined me at that time are now maintaining it could make me despair but you know what this is my journey and as this is a way of life – so be it. But well done you – 42 lbs excellent!

    I actually think what Simcoeluv says makes sense in his posts, hence why I copy them for others to read. In my opinion calories do matter but where you get them form is more important. What put me off the likes of slimming world and others is they would practically encourage you to enjoy a chocolate bar but almost choke if you admitted you had, had an avocado. The important piece is getting a plan you can live with. Cutting out carbs works for Jojo but may not be something someone else would want to live without. Cutting out alcohol works for some but for others a glass of white or red is what they enjoy and have worked it in to their plan. Others weigh everyday (or more), others once a week, some measure blood sugars and get quite techie about the numbers. Its bad enough for me counting calories without confusion about different levels etc but again what works for some may be a complete turn off for others. As the saying goes one man’s meat is another man’s poison.

    At the moment I am glad the pocket lists are so large because they take up a lot of room. So while I may be only on page 21, the posts to catch up may not be that many. Here’s hoping.

    Feeling a bit down but that may just be the ebb and flow of the way I am or may be because I am not feeling 100%. Also because I was away 1st, 2nd and 3rd of the month I missed that – right new month, new beginning feeling. So it may be I need to wait for that re-set moment before I can get the momentum to jump on the wagon again.

    Making it a Fasting Friday!

    Just noticed – do you think @wellme got lost – when they posted here?

    Did fast diet last spring and summer and lost 20 lbs. stopped doing it several months ago and gained 10 back. But now it’s March and I think I should get back at it. I read everyone’s posts and am encouraged though. Have about 30lbs to lose. And I’m an American so I have no idea how many stone that is. Or what a stone is actually. 14lbs? Oh well 1 lb a week is how I will start. Thanks everyone!

    Day 9 MA, USA NFD

    End of my fast day and I went over by 130 cal. Had a going away dinner tonight with friends at The Cheesecake Factory. Printed out the menu ahead of time but got the wrong salad. So since I went over I guess I can’t count it as a fast day. Having lunch with another friend tomorrow so probably will be Monday until I do another fast. It has been getting easier and I wasn’t really hungry.

    Enjoyed a trip to the Temecula wine county and stopped by our favorite winery for lunch and a glass of wine on Wednesday. Delicious. Filled me up for the rest of the day.

    Thursday was FD. Started out early with 3 mile walk, played 18 holes of golf with DH and made a “Dinner Salad”. My version is a bed of baby spinich, red, yellow, orange and green peppers, red onion, cucumber, avocado, chopped walnuts, 2 to 3 ounces protein (left over steak, smoked salmon, pork medallions) topped with sprinkling feta cheese and garnished with small heirloom tomatoes. The veggies are about 75% of the salad, protein 15% and the cheese and walnuts 10%. Low Carb and good fats.

    Friday we plan to drive to Boreggo Springs in the desert to view the wildflower display. Two FD’s per week for us.

    Yesterday was fine – ate up to TDEE. Going away for the weekend, so limited time for posting and reading. I’ve prewarned our hosts so I’m confident that I can stay in control.

    Decided to NOT count calories etc. this month. So was quite surprised when I weighed this morning that the scales showed 68.0kg. Happy!

    Went out for dinner last night with bf, ate LOADS but everything tasted amazing – definitely been paying more attention to how food tastes like, instead of just scoffing things down randomly. Tried to calculate the amount of calories that dinner had, might passed the 2000 calories mark (yikes!).

    Happy it is a FD today. Must remember to drink lots.

    It is the normal round sprouts – Rosenkohl, not sprouted seeds in the curry. I think those might be a tad hard to peel;) I think I forgot to say chop the red pepper and add with the chilis, or use more chilis. I can’t or my mother won’t eat it. If I have it I often chop and add a bulb of florence fennel at this stage too. The recipe is evolving as I try to cram more and more veg into it but the star of the show is the sprouts, they really soak up the spices and melt in your mouth bursting with flavour, very far from the soggy insipid lumps they are usually reputed to be and can be when in the wrong hands. Oh dear it is a bit early to be thinking about food:~ I need my coffee!

    So, let’s let it all out, hold myself accountable. Yesterday was always planned as a very, VERY Non-FD. On Thursdays we organise a little tea break for the students and when they happily talk amongst themselves, it’s sometimes just easier to nibble in a corner, so not snacking on Thursdays is never an option. They love doughnuts so much that they get through them within 15 min, so we got even more doughnuts yesterday–which I think I took as license to treat myself to these delicious things as well (I think the deliciousness of said doughnuts has been subject of previous posts). I didn’t have lunch after this because… well I virtually just had a late breakfast before going off to my lunch date with a friend. But I did flag around 4 and picked myself up with the quickly-becoming-a-standard mocha. And then the evening came: potato wedges, some popcorn, some crisps, two glasses of red and a whole pint of Ben & Jerry’s. I am not gonna lie: the latter had been my full intention when I bought it just before.

    I’ve had Ben & Jerry’s quite mindlessly before in said dosis, in fact I would say after my last serious breakup I went on a bit of a Ben & Jerry’s diet. The funny thing is: even half-way through I thought “well this is nice of course but I don’t really need this.” I kept going because I was the only one having it and therefore had it straight from the carton. But in a way I’m glad, I will pay for this on the scales tomorrow and have undone all the fabulous progress of the past 2.5 weeks. But I do feel I have finally overeaten on B&J’s and, while I’m sure I’ll toy with inviting them round again at some point, this may just have been it for us.

    Interestingly, I did enjoy the wine. Not a massive fan of its taste, but feeling a little bit tipsy and loosening up (I’m not the most uptight person already in default mode) did me good. So as much as I have liked icecream as my vice when everybody else’s was wine, I might change gear in the future.

    Also: AFD till Thursday (but, @at, I’ll keep updating as this plan plays out).

    Scales at 150lb (lowest in about 10 years) for the third day running so I’m one happy bunny. Still recording everything on MFP, even trying to put in the following days plan. This seems to be working.

    I have found that my FDs are 600cal not 500 but I can live with that, it seems to work for me.

    I’m having a nfd today eating roasted duck breast and potatoes for lunch and ravioli with arrabiata sauce for supper but no breakfast except coffee and semi skimmed milk. It’s a NFD for me. I’m 1.6 kilos above target though as I weighted myself today.

    Tough day fasting yesterday. Struggling with a variety of things not related to food but seemed to impact on how tough it felt but got though the day on liquid only.

    Weight check this week shows 176 lbs same as last week. Weight lost in March = 3lbs, weight lost since starting 5/2 last September = 31lbs; weight left to shift = 16lbs. I have a feeling this last third could be slow.

    Quite relieved by the scales to be honest as thought last weekend might have compromised last week’s loss.

    Have a good day everyone and stay strong. The short and long term gains from this WOL are so worth it even if it can seem tough going at times.

    What was it about yesterday? Here goes another confession! @goldensun, ‘Sugar fest’ is a great description of my diet yesterday. I opened the cage and the monster flew out and how I wrestled to put the beast back! Will have a very controlled day today to compensate but I didn’t even get up early enough for my usual swim. 😒 I’ve definitely fallen off th collective wagon!

    Day 10: Glasgow, Scotland.

    Back on track with ADF, but feeling just a tad dishearted. I was teetering somewhere between 10st 0.5lb and 10st 1.5lb, so I had hoped to hit the 10st mark today – but I’m 10st 2lbs this morning! I feel thinner, and my clothes are fitting much better, so – know what? – I’m going to ignore the scales for a full week. I’m going to carry on doing what I’m doing (ADF), and walking for miles each day, and I’ll see what the scales say a one week from today.

    I hope all of you are showing more consistent progress, and that your favourite dress/skirt/trousers/shirt/sweater is fitting just that little bit better….

    Not doing my time on the exercise bike today; I think my legs need a bit of a rest to recover! Plenty of walking, though.

    Day 10 Kent UK goal 4 lbs this month

    I have had a few negative days over the last week, party sent me on a bad path, leftover food a nightmare and I suspect I have done some damage, not weighing this month so it will remain a mystery. But I have woken up this morning with loads of energy. Sun shining and all is well with the world. Very busy day planned, always best on a fast day. Pedometer strapped on and I am planning 15,000 steps today. Dog walk and dance class will take care of 10,000 then I plan on mowing the lawn, very big lawn, 3 hours work with edge trimming. Hula hooping done today already, managed 19 rotations, so a long was from goal of 5 minutes.

    got up this morning with a spring in my step could not wait to get on the scales only to find not lost a pound could of cried worked so hard not cheated once i think it could be to do with the bloody menapause i lost half a stone 6 weeks ago before i started this diet and thats it.not eaten since 6.30 last night just had a cup of tea.did all my exercise which is wondercore it includes cardio so really gets my heart pumping.feel so much better though on this diet well at least i did untill i got on the scales still feel bloated though so may be il try 3 days fds next week.
    also stopped smoking 3 weeks ago which is going bloody well may be being a bit hard on my self.husband to top it off has lost 6 pound in a week and has done no excersise now im pissed off
