  • Day 14 NFD 🌈 Good Friday.

Well scales have broken, not through weight I might add, so can’t see the record of my FDs, but that’s ok. Will get new set by the end of the month, to record my results.

Good Friday and it’s going to be Celebration weekend where I can now eat chocolate, sweets and biscuits again, however at the start of Lent I craved them, now I’m not even excited about eating them again. Glad I’ve broken that habit, they say it takes 21 days, I’m living proof. Will have a little though but I know now I can have some and don’t have to finish the whole lot, should savour and enjoy. Bout quality more than quantity.

Finished my Fast yesterday with a Chinese takeaway, it was lovely but I was so thirsty all night, my taste buds are definitely changing and I am more content with healthier foods. Taking away the excitement a little.

Have a lovely Easter all, don’t think off it being about chocolate or Easter, think of it as a time of new beginnings 🐣and relaxing and hopefully spending a little time with family and friends if u can.

    Day 14 Newcastle UK
Week 3, FD 6 (I think as sometimes loose track)
    Hello everyone,
Sorry for not posting but been at work for 2 days then an in law arrived to stay 3 weeks from the far east.
That in its self may be a challenge! If I dont overdose on everything, including the gin during this time, it will be a miracle!

Anyway, another week down with 2 FD on 800 & less cals.
1 FD whilst at work & 1 FD on day off.
Both of which were good but again struggled after the evening meal & despite the amount of water I drank, woke both days afterwards with a headache. Major pain killer got it tho.

Have found that despite going to bed thinking I am going to eat loads for breakfast after a FD, I dont.
I am finding that I dont want the type or amount of food where normally I would & dont mind seeing others eat during lunch or break. So maybe just maybe my WOE is changing.
My next weigh day is Monday with fingers crossed as not too good so far on that front.
Our next FD is Tuesday (did not think we could on Easter Monday) & Thursday.
Anyone a pocketerre on those days as may need support as the relly will have been here nearly a week by then? So any support gratefully accepted.
    Happy Easter all.

    2nd post.
    Just reading the other post.
I find it easier to have nothing rather than a bit so if I have a couple of calories left i.e. 100 unlike the hubby who will find something for 100 to eat I go without.
However, last night the in law obviously did not have the same as us on our FD, (they are guests afer all), & some of the none FD food was left. I nearly dippes a spoon into it when I was clearing up & how I managed to resist I dont know. But I do know if I had a bit, I would have eaten it all so back to the rather nothing than a little. Maybe that’s the trick.
It does take strength to not give in but that feeling passes quickly if you can just hang on. Try drinking water with lemon/lime in with no sweetner as that is sour & you wont want anything sweet after it. We went for a walk for nearly 2 hours the other night to get us nearer to the evening meal & we are getting more early nights than usual.
Keep going folks the benifits are going to be worth it. Remember what you want to achieve when you waver.
    Good luck all.

    3rd post.
Sorry have looked back but cannot find out what the B2B2B2…. is.
Can anyone enlighten me about it please?
Also, LynzM, anyone who can go 40 days without something they love deserves great praise. Well done you & anyone who has done something similar. Great admiration for you all.

    Day 14 lancaster pa FD.

    Day 13 Surrey UK NFD
    Day 14 Surrey UK NFD

    Day14 -UK – NFD

Snuck up on the scales this morning and took them by surprise. They rewarded me with a 2 lb losss. Yey, 3lbs to go to April target. Was supposed to be a FD today but just couldn’t face it, so NFD and trying to stay under 1000 calories. I am in awe of you guys doing b2b or b2b2b2b 👍.

All of the Easter weekend will be NFDs, Too much going on with family and friends. Back to it Tues and Thursday next week.

Wishing anyone celebrating a happy and peaceful Easter.

Thank-you for the good wishes and ✨✨🎉Congrats @taraga on 4 days of b2b fasting. I have updated and logged your weight and target weight into the spreadsheet for the group! ✨✨Good one ✨✨”Keep the fasting up and the weight down to a healthy level.”😊😊✨👍
@missymay 🌈✨🥂🎉Happy Birthday!💐🎈 🎉 got yesterday!😊Thank-you for checking in and updating your info. You are updated on our spreadsheet.😊✨
@leighs77 Glad you are here in the group!✨✨Keep it up!✨✨Your doing well!✨😊
I have a question? I was reading in Dr. M’s books Really nice by the way. I was wondering, do most people do the Hit Exercise on FD’s or NFD’s?✨
Well I will get to read more posts later.😊 I’m off to my 16 year old to get their SS cards and work permits. And to get my drivers license renewed. Not fun, but has to be done.
    Have a good day all FD’rs and NFD’rs 😊
✨✨Remember we are Together even though we are physically apart.✨✨
    ✨✨Together we are Stronger✨✨
    ✨✨Let’s make it a great Friday.✨✨😊

    day 14 Northern California
I realize I’ve been forgetting to check in. Yesterday fasted until 4pm, then realized I was getting too
grumpy to be around and had some soup.
I must have missed when to report weight and where to find the spread sheet. weigh 151 lbs this morning. Kind of like fasting when I can get myself started

    DAY 7 – 14 – UK – NFD’s

Back from Scilly Isles – not able to get signal – so no log in…
Have put on a couple of lbs….but hope to shift those by end of month.
    Happy Easter all.xx

    2nd post Portugal
@annemarilyn hope your 800 FD is going well. I have managed to eat just about 75 calories all day but we are going out for dinner tonight so I am hoping I can keep it low calorie – under 800 would be good.

@metatauta He has risen indeed! Happy Easter.

Hi @okeydokey it’s going to be a busy day for me tomorrow so I’ve done my weigh in. 12st 3lbs that means I’m 2lbs down. I was this weight last week so I’m going up and down but sure, ”tis the way! Thanks again, the spreadsheet is HUGE!

    Day 14 – Cumbria UK – FD

I hope our friends from New Zealand are all OK from Cyclone Cook – hugs all round!

Lovely walk this morning with my usual Friday group – although overcast no rain to speak of during the walk – lovely catch up over a cup of tea afterwards. Although this afternoon my knee is a bit stiff and achy – small price to pay for such a lovely hilly walk………

I got my kefir grains delivered on Wednesday PM and started my first batch of that evening – drank some this afternoon – very nice taste but not as thick as the shop bought one – second batch is fermenting currently – anyone else making their own on this forum?

@tillysmum – you have my sympathies – your sister sounds a bit like mine…….enjoy your visit and will catch up on your return
@blueninjamum – good advice to yourself – just stay mindful and you should maintain – safe drive and hope the visit goes well
@skinnylove – HUGS – you are stronger than you think!
@fatrabbit – we all have “oops” days and perhaps you are right in having a break from the BSD – I had one your oops days yesterday = had an early brunch of eggs royale, then ate a large slice of cake for afternoon tea – followed by paella and 2 large glasses of wine and finished off with some blackcurrant sorbet……..could have been worse………So a determined FD today – water and tea today with 200mls of Kefir this afternoon…….maybe some low calorie lentil soup for dinner…..
@biddiev – maintaining controlled 16:8 days whilst under stress is a big win
@Strawberriesandcream – 👍 on getting to your lowest weight to date 135.8lbs!
@and… exhale – thank you for your positive energy vibes – have a lovely break on the Northumbrian coast – safe drive on Saturday
@bert1802 – love what your husband says about “A perfect relationship is two imperfect people refusing to give up on each other” – so true
@okeydokey – thank you for your kind words and also for the link about acupressure points to help with insomnia – I’m keeping this on file as just in case
@calamitycazza – a big welcome to this WOL (way of life) – just follow the basics, I see that @simcoeluv has sent you a brilliant link which will answer a lot of your questions – just follow the basic principles for the first couple of months and I promise you that you will lose weight
@snowflake56 – Spoke to my friend today – she is a bit sore but recovering well from the biopsy yesterday – I just wanted to be able to give her a hug – made her laugh about our virtual hugs here
@coda – you are doing what you can atm and its OK to take time out from reading and replying to all the posts – a lot of us would not be here if it was not for you – certainly the case for me
@taraga – well done on the weight loss so far – you will reach your April target no problems
@lany36 – sometimes you have to make hard decisions and put yourself first – I totally agree that if you feel peaceful once you made your decision, it shows you made the right one and a 💃for the loose jeans!
    @missymay – hope you are having a fabulous 40th – enjoy
@jojo58 – bright pink crops will cheer up your soul
@lynzm – big YAY for you for sticking to your Lent resolution – and we all know that you are right – it’s definitely about quality more than quantity!!!!
@annnursekirk – B2B2B2 refers to several days fasting in a row e.g. B2B is 2 days, B2B2B is 3 days and so on – Some do this to speed up weight loss but it’s important to remember that this is a WOL and has to be sustainable in the long term!
Not really recommended at the start of WOL – stick to basics and when you have this conquered then you can experiment usually a couple of months into this WOL – good luck with your journey
@mulville – You can report your weight loss/gain/maintenance whenever you like – @okeydokey will input on the spreadsheet and publish once a week on a Friday I think she said – FYI Here is the link for last Thursday

For those who celebrate Easter – have a joyful time with your family and friends – for those of us who don’t have a mindful weekend and make the most of each day and don’t forget to be awesome!

“Happiness starts with you – not with your relationships, not with your job, not with your money but with you – I have chosen to be happy because it’s good for my health”

Day 14–MA, USA–FD today. Yesterday I ate enough for two days, though 🙁 Trying not to let myself feel too guilty about it, but I’m finding the fast today difficult. I’ve had some raspberries and an iced coffee, and it’s nearly 3:00. Nearly caved a couple of times, but trying to remind myself that I’ll feel better tomorrow if I succeed today. About to do some exercise, and going to the movies tonight, so that should keep me occupied at least. Contemplating a FD tomorrow, but it might be too hard as I’m heading to my parents for the Easter holiday, and I know there will be lots of delicious treats. Well, as long as I don’t go overboard, the weekend off should be fine. For all who celebrate, have a very happy Easter!

Hi @okeydokey – a couple of corrections for me on the spreadsheet

Day 9 NFD ended up definitely not a CD….😫
    Day 11 was a NFD/CD not a FD

    Thanks

    Day 14, Cumbria UK, nfd

Day 14, Rocky Mountains, US, FD, 5th of 5 B2B

Hoping for a weight loss tomorrow apart from a large bread crust with butter and Jam on it along with a currant scone also with butter on Thursday’s NFD I’ve been pretty good.
Dropped into my Dad’s Thursday I’m sure his whole house is made out of cakes and bread so much temptation ! 😇

    2nd post – Day 14

Controlled NFD today (CD) and feeling happily satisfied rather than stuffed (as usual).

@annnursekirk – B2B2B2B refers to Back-to-Back-to-Back-to-Back fasting, as some people find they need a jump-start to get them moving from a plateau and a B2B or even a B2B2B can really fool your body into shifting to fat burning mode.

I hope everyone had a mindful Good Friday.

    Day 15 NZ NFD

The cyclone was fierce here. Neighbour had 4 trees ripped out, and roof damage. I had damage to trees, carport, garage and fence. The fence was the worst – with about 15 meters unrepairable. Massive cleanup day yesterday.

Luckily the house is fine, and everyone is safe.

    Still day 14 –

Triple T – so sorry to hear about all the cyclone damage. Glad to hear your house and family is okay!

Day 14 NFD St Louis USA
    Weight today 141.6.

Haven’t caught up on posts for today yet. No fasting this weekend. Planning a regular Monday (500)/Tuesday (800)back to back again next week and then on Thursday(500). That seems to be working well. Very doable. so enjoy having options. We are all different and figure out what works for us within a framework. Having people share their stories also helpful.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

    Day15/FD/Melbourne Australia
Accidentally unticked the notofiy by email box so haven’t kept up with posts. Busy Easter days ahead. To everyone celebrating Happy Easter. To all have a peaceful holiday.

Day 14 at my kitchen table, USA. NFD

Hi all uk co down nfd

The scales had been moving in the right direction but a few bad choices sent it sky rocketing in the opposite direction why is it so easy to do that and not the other way lol?

    Happy 40th @missymay 🎉

@lany36 funny a girl at my work did the same a few week’s ago. Said it was the best decision she made and has never been happier.

    @at thanks x

    Day 15 NFD NZ
Thanks to everyone who posted such kind and supportive words around my choice to resign.
It’s difficult to walk away from a job that held so many positives, in large part my decision was fueled by how much I like most of the people there. I know that tension in a very small workplace affects everyone and I have too much respect for the others to inflict that on them. While I have another job offer on the table it seems best to make the spilt and move on. So I am grateful to you all for supporting my choice.
@annemarilyn – my altered approach to NFDs isn’t anything special I’m doing, it’s been about recognising what I was doing to sabotage my success and changing my attitude. This is so much a mental game for me, the physical fasting part is simple, changing my thought patterns and altering how I approach NFDs in my mind has been the thing that finally set me on the path to real change in my body shape.
I asked myself some really blunt questions and without any attempt at excuses I fully accepted my actions as being at odds with my wishes. One or the other had to change in order for me to find self acceptance and let go of constantly battling myself. I finally decided that my wish or desire to lose the bulge was more important than my enjoyment of the foods and behaviours that were stopping me losing the weight. So, long story short, my actions changed….low and behold…so too did my results.
    Happy Easter everyone.

    Day13-Sydney Australia-FD
    Day14-Sydney Australia-NFD
    Day15-Sydney Australia-NFD

I’m new to this diet, anyone didn’t loose any from start?
It happened to me, started 69.8 on 31/03, still 69.1kg 14/04 morning. Now I only weight after FD. My weight sort of up and down, not a downward trend.
I didn’t do much exercise, except Pilate class on every Thursday, then very occasionally walk home after work, about 40 minutes. This probably not enough.
I will keep on and add more exercise to see if I can achieve my goal this month (2kg would be very happy).
    Happy Easter everyone.

    Day 14 : Cheshire, UK : NFD

    2nd post 🌈

@lany36 I just read your post and have been contemplating exactly the same thing lately about changing my attitude. I recently completed 40 days Lent, i do it every year it’s a challenge and I haven’t always done food, however this year I did as I was doing the 5/2 and wanted to stop some bad habits, so I gave up chocolate, crisps and sweets as I knew if I gave up one I would find solace in the other. Because I was doing it for Lent the first few days were hard but I gave myself no option and I did them, I set my mind to it and just said it’s for a particular reason, I can do this and so I did. 🌟

I also realise when I’m in a pocket group I am better as I think of letting others down, and I must keep up my end! 👭👫

I want to keep at this group and play my part and record my weight loss as part of a group effort.👫👭👬

So I came to realise when I’m doing it for some reason, or someone else I have the resolve, I have the willpower and I make a decision and just do it! I slay that dragon.🐲🗡

So why when it’s only for me do I find it harder? 🤔Why don’t I think I’m worth the effort? 😔Ooh getting deep here. I didn’t know I felt like this until now.

But like @lany36 says change your attitude, which in turn make u make changes, then see results. 🏅

    Bit of self discovery here.

To you all, we are all worth our effort! Easter is a time of new beginnings. 🐣Let’s make our changes for ourselves.

    2nd post
@stone176055 welcome to this WOL. Firstly congratulations on losing even a small amount of weight. Have you taken your measurements? Are your clothes more comfortable? Quite a few people find they initially lose inches rather than numbers on the scale. How are you approaching NFDs? Are you eating to TDEE? Reducing carbs or counting calories? Watching portions? @lany36 (post above yours) is an excellent summary of a successful approach. Unless we have a very honest and hard look at the behaviours that caused our weight issues and work to change the behaviors no ‘diet’ will work in the long run.
Many of us who have lost and maintained weightloss following 5:2 or intermittent fasting have really worked on changing negative behaviours as well. In my case, eliminating refined and processed food from daily consumption, controlling alcohol intake and watching portions and following a LCHF Mediterranean style diet has made this a very pleasurable and sustainable WOL. I Like to think of 5:2 as a healthy and sustainable way of life and not a ‘diet.’ It works for me. I wish you all the best in your quest to a healthier you.

    Day 9 Seattle WA NFD
    Day 10 Seattle WA NFD
Day 11 Seattle WA FD Very easy FD today – simply didn’t eat between breakfast and dinner.
    Day 12 Seattle WA NFD
    Day 13 Seattle WA NFD
Day 14 Seattle WA FD Fruit for breakfast and Light Indian buffet as main meal. Not very hungry (due to 5/2 as a WOL?) I return home to Florida on Monday. I did pretty well with the travel to a foodie paradise. Hope all are enjoying the 5/2 lifestyle.

    2nd Post Day 14 – US – FD
Thanks everyone for checking in and updating your information. It’s really interesting in seeing how the BSD people are doing well. The maintainers are doing well, NFD’rs are doing well and the different amount of FD’rs are doing well.✨Thanks again and ✨✨Keep on, Keeping on!✨✨ Those who can and want to can weigh and check in tomorrow. This gives us each a chance to see how are month is going and keep glom in a similar fashion or tweak it to help reach our individual goals. ✨I have faith that we have got this!✨✨Soon we can be doing our own 💃💃Happy Dancing!💃💃✨✨Together we are Stronger!✨✨✨

@mulville Thanks for checking in. If you’d like to find the link or check on information from a past post, just click on my user name on any post of mine or click @okeydokey where ever you see it and it will show you all my posts. I recorded the 13th as a FD. Basically because you can have soup. Keeping it in under 800 cals is a BSD AKA as a FD or under 500 cals is a FD. Also here’s the link that will be updated up through Thursday 13th you can use it throughout the month for you and any member of our group.😊I will be updating our weigh-ins on Saturday as they are posted.😊
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-U3NLqdDFR2HLYO709eX1sjmbPGC7msTOSsZfLqG9uQ
I will have it updated every Thursday night/ Friday morning for the week before.✨
@belfastsink ✨✨You’ve been doing well, you’ve lost ✨😊✨2 lbs, your closer to your goal.✨on the 13th FD and 14th FD my tummy felt hungry 😋 too. We need one big hug 🤗 fest😊. About being weighed on Saturday, I have a secret plan to keep you, (and people in the group) motivated🏅✨💃
@annnursekirk It’s good to see @at and @flourbaby explaining the b2b2b as 3 FD’s in a row. Both great and informative answers. I’ll just add it is important to start out doing the 5 NFD:2FD to get comfortable. If/when you do become comfortable you have options of the 500 cals a day or the BSD plan that is the 800 cals FD that also is showing to have good results. Drinking plenty of water is important. Making your calories count for healthy nutrients on FD’s and NFD’s. Will make a difference in being able to manage multiple FD’s or BSD (blood sugar days) in a row.😊
@onshealthyhigh Thanks for sharing the link of Dr.Mosley’s secret weapon. I agree wholeheartedly, I’ve never liked breakfast and never wanted to eat early for breakfast. I don’t my having a slice of bacon and eggs for dinner.😊Thank-you for sharing that.😊

✨✨Love yourself first and everything falls into place✨✨
    ✨✨✨Together we are stronger.😊😊🎉

    Day 15 – Tokyo Japan – NFD!! 78.0kg

Actually my FD was easy but I worked in two workouts into my FD, yesterday morning and early this morning. As I was working out this morning I was breathing a hard. That is a sign my muscles were using fat as it requires oxygen to metabolize fat. Fat consumption is actually cleaner than sugar for the body, but sugar doesn’t require oxygen to metabolize, so it is often what we are burning when exercising until we really tax ourselves.

@mogaman – Seattle must be getting nice now! I lived on Mercer Island for about a decade. Seattle is really a beautiful place, just traffic can be horrible since it is mostly long and narrow!

Tokyo actually has about three times the rain that Seattle has, but we rarely get the Seattle misty stuff, instead it often hard rain, so in one hour of rain we get 10x or 20x what Seattle gets in a day. So generally there is a lot of sunlight here.

    Day 14-Montreal-FD

    Second post-
@lynzm I just wanted to add how much I relate to what you said.
In my earlier years I was a smoker, I was fully informed of the risks and had wanted to quit multiple times but wasn’t successful.
The day I found out I was pregnant I threw out the cigarettes in the Drs office bin and never once contemplated or felt even remotely tempted to touch another cigarette. I had a tiny life inside me that needed my protection and the urge to do right by my child made the quitting so easy I never even noticed it happened.
I suppose my question for everyone here is, why do we feel the need to protect and suppprt others before ourselves.
Is it part based in politeness? From a young age we are taught manners and consideration for others, it’s isn’t polite to be selfish and consider ourselves and our needs first.
I supppse what I would like to say, is we need to give ourselves permission to be a little selfish, to prioritise our own needs and desires to lose the weight as more important than the things we allow to distract us from our goals.
As the airlines tell us in every safety briefing, please put your own oxygen mask on first…we are no help to anyone else if we are unconscious on the floor from our good intended efforts to put others first.

    Day 15 – South Korea – NFD
Yesterday, day 14 was also a fast day, 3b2b FDs, Im really happy with that! Today will probably be a NFD as the tension between the US and North Korea rise. Im not sure how to interpretate the tension, some news articles say everything will be okay and others suggest there’s going to be a war today.
Anyhow, Im trying to stay under my TDEE, but Im also an (trying to be a controlled) emotionally eater and Im quite nervous about the development of this..

Stay strong everyone FDs and NFDs!!

@triplet – glad to hear you and yours are safe, but so sorry to hear of your property damage — hugs from the US

@happyslim – we in the US are also concerned for you all over there. My DH was stationed at Kunsan 1971-72 as a missile battery commander watching China, and he still has a great concern for everyone over there. May all be safe and peaceful soon.

@happyslim-definitely thinking of you in South Korea and the developments there. I went to South Korea many years ago when I was teaching English in Japan-it was the nearest place to go to renew our visas. I hope things settle down soon.

    2nd post
Day 14 Seattle, WA FD Not so easy today- got up to 650 calories, but while away from home I guess that’s not bad. Sorry to hear NZ’ers had a bad storm. Luck to all.

    Day 15 Croatia NFD
    Weight: 77.7 kg

    Day 15,Germany,NFD

    Weight: 54 kg
    Bust: 89 cm
    Waist: 66 cm
    Hips: 89 cm

Feel great, will catch up on posts later, doing my 45 min. workout accompanied by swing dance on youtube, love it.

    Day 15 Newcastle UK NFD.
    Weight 14st 7.5lbs
    Neck 17″
    Chest 42.5″
    Waist 41.5″
    Hip 40″
Still not eating till noon every day which fits in well with my work routine 3 FD this week to help compensate with the Easter period.
Very happy with that, the half hour exercise on the rowing machine every night is definitely helping. Not going to go to mad on Sunday will try and keep control of portion sizes 😇 My wife who dose the vintage weight watchers has been a great help to me, full of support and encouragement as are the posts of the group. Keep up the good work everyone. Off to work then 2 days off 😁 🍺🍫

    Day 15 Hampshire NFS

    DAY 15 – UK – FD

Weighed myself after my hols and have put on 1 1/2 lbs. which is excellent, as I have eaten loads of treats, (fish and chips and coffee and cakes, wine (unusual for me) and generally forgot all about fasting for a week. Family here for Easter but are out for the day to-day, so can manage a Fast. Am looking forward to getting on track again with AD fast days from Tuesday. I have made a Simnel cake, and my 4 yr granddaughter wants to make “nest” cakes so unlikely I can fast Sunday/Monday…but that’s the beauty of this WOL – fit it in when you can. Happy fasting all.

    Day 15 UK NFD 🌈

    Happy day all,

@happyslim I’m sorry you have such a worry about your country I pray for a solution and peace over there and that the powers that be are clear headed and can negotiate and come to an agreement without a war.

Leaders should all have group like this, would work through problems a lot more efficiently, listen to others views, try different things and adapt to what would work for them. Just a thought. 🤔

    Day 15 UK FD800

    weight 196.6 lbs
    waist 33 inches
    hips/bust 42 inches
down 5 lbs, plus I lost an inch and a half on my bust and hips and an inch on my waist since the 1st:)

My weight has bounced up after my debacle on Weds although not by as much as it might have. I am back where I was on the 10th. I gave myself permission to have a day off yesterday but still ate only 800 calories so it was a fast day afterall. I just wasn’t hungry and had no cravings. Fickle things bodies! I will fast today and give myself permission for a day off again tomorrow and see what happens.

Thinking of you all. Together we are stronger!

    Day 15, Newcastle UK, FD

OH is being a naughty influence – yesterday was not controlled – but we enjoyed it. Today we are attending our Ceroc workshops. @okeydokey – sorry forgot to answer you – yes Ceroc is dance – modern jive. Ceroc is the name of the worldwide franchise of classes that OH and I attend. OH has to take double painkillers because of his bad knee – but grins and bears it because he enjoys it so much. He’ll be finished by lunchtime, but I plan to dance all day. Hence an FD with up to 800 cals if needed.

@triplet – sorry to hear of the damage and pleased to hear you’re safe.
@happyslim – a worrying time for the world – let’s all pray for common sense to prevail. @lynzm – your last statement is spot on.
@lany36, @lynzm and @onahealthyhigh – excellent observations and responses that struck chords with me on several levels. Thank you.

I wish you all a good day. Together we are Stronger.

Fatrabbit- I am joining you on Tuesday( post bank holiday)the 800 cal per day 8 week BSD. I did attempt it before but found there was too much time cooking and a lot of shopping for one person. But I am giving it another go because I have a friend starting it. Having done the survey again I am in the category of controlled addicted to carbs section which is an improvement on one year ago. I have drastically cut sugar and carbs since then, mostly Mediterranean diet already. It sounds like you are making good progress.

Let’s go! It was time for a change. I will be doing the 10,000 daily steps from Day one as I always walk a lot. Now re reading the book, hope I can follow it this time.

    Day 15 – FIN – NFD
    Day 14 – NFD

I’m really looking forward to enjoying all (OK, some) of the sweets I’ve saved up for Easter tomorrow when Lent ends. Less than 24 hrs to go! For me it’s been pretty easy to not eat any candy during this period, but I do notice the psychological addiction raising its head again, especially after sweets were put on display in this household. During this Lent, I’ve had dessert thrice (once at a dinner party where I found it too hard to decline (wasn’t worth it), once when a rare delicacy about to expire was given me, and once I ate cake at a funeral (the cake didn’t agree with me)) and I also ate few corn and rye chips to sate my hunger one day during the first or second week (not sure whether I consider especially the latter junk food, though). Still, I’m glad I’ve managed to stick to not eating any sweets, which I find to have been my main challenge.

@annemarilyn You guessed it, DL is short for deadline. Thank you for the encouragement; I had a pretty positive meeting (apart from my thesis supervisor/professor being a bit uncertain about me making the next deadline (shooting it up to September is apparently not an issue, though) and encouraging me to once again be a bit more bold) and I have hopefully gotten enough rest by now.
