  • Day 12, Germany, NFD

    @mulville Prayers to everyone concerned.

@at and @okeydokey thank you for asking. Still no “s”, but I’m able to write again, so that’s getting better. For my hand/arm I had to start physiotherapy and I’m having speech-training, both I don’t like, but I have to do it. xxx to you both.

I really like this WOL, as long as I stay away from ice-cream and Lindt I think I can maintain my weight. I’m grateful for all the positive, funny and helpful posts I’m reading here, very uplifting!

@redrockgirl302 well done, you did it!

    Day 12 – US – FD 3 (b5b)
Going well so far, keeping under 500 cals. I walked 5,000 steps and did the rowing machine yesterday, felt pretty good last night. My sleep time regimen is helping me to get to sleep without eating.
Today still going well, my skin feels tight and a bit of stress in my back, abdomen and face.
@coda Thank-you for your inspiring post as well as your wonderful compliment.😊 Seems like your feeling better and I’m glad. This is a WOL and you and others who have been living it for almost a year now are great inspiration and guidance. It’s wonderful to be able to read your points of view. Thank-you!

@hannahwatto I understand. I know I wouldn’t do well with intermittent FD’s at least not right now either. I hope you find the fasting plan that works best for you. This is a way of life. From my understanding 3 days a month of fasting will help your health. Anything that you have done has gotten you closer to your goal than if you hadn’t done it at all. Right now I couldn’t do IF. I’m better off getting through the first FD, The 2nd FD is so much better. I beleive it’s because the Carbs have been burned away and my habit (addiction to sugar ) had calmed down,
@redrockgirl302 βœ¨βœ¨πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰Congratulations on making your goal of 125 lbs. very wonderful I’m so happy 😊for you! Wow! You are on a roll! Keep on, Keeping on!
    βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨πŸ€œπŸ»βœ¨πŸ€›πŸ»βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨
I’m updating our April spreadsheet today and tomorrow. I will be able to read more of the wonderful posts later. We won’t ever get today back, So Let’s make this a great day! ✨✨✨
Thank-you @flourbaby and all our members who are keeping up with our Pocket Groups and Pocketeers. It means so much!
    ✨✨We Got This✨✨
    ✨✨Together we are Stronger✨✨
✨✨Thank-you All for being in our Group!✨✨

    Day 12 Surrey UK FD

Sorry @okeydokey but I thought I had checked in my NFD yesterday πŸ™ˆ

Am having a good FD today, so feeling pleased with myself!

@snowflake56 PT isn’t very fun. Our son had Physical therapy and Speach therapy3x a week from age 2 thru age 13. I had it for 6months 3x a week for my knee. It isn’t fun. Sorry you are going through it now. The good thing is ….✨ it works. So keep up the good work. ✨😊✨ Glad to hear you are maintaining your goal weight. ✨It’s a good thing. I don’t know what Lindt is. I would surely have a problem with that. I already have to stay as far away from ice cream as I can if I want to lose weight.
    ✨✨Keep on, Keepin on!✨✨
    ✨✨Together we are Stronger!✨✨

Day 12 NFD St. Louis USA
weight today 142 – getting there!
Tomorrow will be a fast day for me. Please add to pocket list if one is started. Scanned post but will catch up later. It’s a beautiful day here. Enjoying sunshine from my window even though I’m working.

    Best to all.

Day 12 Chicago, Illinois USA – NFD

    Second post:

@snowflake56: Thank you for your kind words. All the best for PT and speech therapy. You got this!!! 😊🌻🌼🌺⚘😊

@okeydokey: Thank you for your encouraging words! 😊🌹😊⚘😊🌺😊🌸😊

    Day 12: Gloucestershire, UK: NFD

@okeydokey That must be hard for a child,is he doing well now? The speech-trainer is like a pianoteacher I had once, they say:”Well done and now once again and again…” But if my “S” comes back it’s worth the effort. Lindt is a delicious chocolate brand.

    3rd post

@readrockgirl302 I will survive. When you go to Vienna (are you?) beware of the Sacher Torte, it’s delicious.

    3rd post

@snowflake56: Yes, I go to Vienna and I am aware of Sachertorte and all the other fantastic food and drink. Austrian cuisine is so good.

    Day 1 – 12 : Cheshire, UK : NFD

Hi Everyone and hello to those new to these challenges. I’ve been back from holiday for almost 2 weeks. I didn’t gain any weight whilst on holiday because I didn’t eat until after 12noon and our last meal was no later than 10pm, sometimes much earlier.

I fell off the wagon when I returned from holiday because of some relationship difficulty again and because I wasn’t able to catch up on posts. The perfectionist in me wanted to catch up on posts then post but it’s not been possible with work and my emotional upset. So I’ve decided that I miss you all too much and I need your caring support so I’m posting even though I feel blind at what has been happening for each of you. I may just catch up on some posts over the Easter weekend but otherwise I will just have to let it go.

My daily meditation practice has suffered too. I managed to start again this morning.

Those of you that have been around will be used to me being knocked emotionally when things go wrong with my relationship. I’m a little embarrassed but I’m not as bad as I have been in the past. The difficulty is that my OH believes that everything should be perfect in a relationship and he refuses to think otherwise. He is very creative and sensitive. I do love him very much and we have had a heart to heart and we are both having space to seriously consider whether to continue. It is so difficult for me worrying whether we are going to break up each time we have a hiccup. I’m not perfect….nobody is…..we will see.

I seriously have missed you all. I do consider you my friends. Whilst on holiday I saw a sign…. AT, which, of course, reminded me of the warmth of my virtual friend @at….made me smile and think of you @at. I think I read that you have had some sad news…..sending you love and a warm hug my friend.

    Good to be back! xoxo

    Day 12, 3rd post,

How are the mega B2B2B(+)-ers doing???? I hope we’re all on track, managed today without any issues, I broke my fast with soup (as usual!!) and I’m completely satisfied. I’m coaching myself to be mindful over the Easter weekend – even with last Sundays FD and this current B2B2B!!!

@redrockgirl302, Congratulations (happy dance, happy dance!!!) .……and you’ve still got 2 FDs to complete your B2B2B2B2B!!! 5 days to your deadline AND……… a B2B2B to throw in there for good luck………Your FD bank balance is looking good!!!!!

@goldensun, glad to have you back…………….in any capacity!!!! And there was me thinking we had lost you to overindulgence in tapas and all things Espanol!!!! I hope your relationship woes are temporary, it’s difficult to live with that β€˜fear’ hanging over your head, sending positive vibes your way!!!

B2B2B(+)-ers………… we’re on the home straight (well, some of us!!), keep the faith guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Can I still join?

    Day 12, NFD, USA

Day 13 – SW WA USA – NFD

    Making it a 16:8.

SCS – good to hear that Dr. Oz addressed the breakfast issue as well as intermittent fasting. This country needs to hear about it.

Coda – thank you for your encouraging post

    Day 12, Gozo,Malta, NFD

    Good night everyone

Day 12 – US FD I’m going to weigh myself Saturday. The mid point of the month. If any one else wants to do that also, I’ll be putting it on our speadsheet. It’s a great way to see our progress or to make a change if we want more progress by the end of the month.
@skinnylove You are on a roll doing great of your 3 (b4b) fast days! I figured your weight by the amount you lost. 63.8kg ?✨✨✨keep it up!✨✨
    ✨✨✨So glad your seeing progress✨✨✨
@suse13 ✨keep up the good work and have a good FD ✨😊
    @coda ✨High five βœ‹ on your 3 FD’s in a row.✨You are on a roll ! 😊✨Onward and downward! ✨✨Keep on, Keeping on!😊✨ πŸ‘
@steffieagle I’m glad your trip went well on the way back to PA. Your right the weather is better this time of year. Have fun on the mountain trail this after noon!✨
@hhq ✨Thank-you for sharing the link and more information about fasting and diet. I appreciate it.😊✨✨keep up the good work✨ down close to 3 lbs.βœ¨βœ¨πŸ‘
    @debster251 ✨for being so informative and supportive.😊
@tillysmum see you when you get back from your trip with your sister.😊✨
@bert1802 I think a deep muscle chair massage can be a very intense. Usually they have settings on them. So sorry you feel black and blue. Evidently that is not the chair for you. Wishing you well.😊✨Do you take the ACV at the amount you mentioned daily or 3x a day?
@strawberriesandcream Wishing you well on your FD’s 10-13 ✨✨You Got This✨✨We Got you!✨✨✨✨Together we are Stronger.✨✨✨Have you thought about becoming a host, leader of our Challenges in one of the months to come! I think you’d make a great host!😊✨
@taraga Very glad you joined the group. Maybe you could share some insights into personal and or spiritual insights, strengths and patience that you may have learned through fasting.
@lynzm What a great turn around! ✨✨You Got This!✨✨I’ll be joining your (b3b) also. I’ve been working on a (b5b) along with @redrockgirl302 since Monday😊✨✨We’ve got you!✨✨Together we are Stronger!✨✨✨
@notmyrealname I hope it works out for you. Be kind to yourself.✨✨Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body and spirit.✨✨We are here for you and we will be here for you when your ready.✨✨
@erika45 Congratulations on your weekend fast and losing weight down to 60.8kg😊✨I know how hard it can be also because we have teenagers eating snacks. Usually good ones. sometimes I have to use nose plugs so I don’t get tempted.😏

✨Sometimes it feels awkward explaining the fasting plan. Doing the fasting plan does not require explaining to people who don’t want to understand.✨
✨Happiness means loving yourself and being less concerned with other people’s approval.✨✨

@snowflake56 Thanks for asking.😊Yes he is doing great those years of PT and Speech Therapy have been a great benefit✨He is on the honor roll in high school now. He’s been able to ride a bike and play some basketball. Even he though get’s winded sometimes, he is doing great!✨

    Day 13 NZ NFD

@fordprefect Good idea for a NFD on a travel day.😊✨

    Day 12 – Cumbria UK – NFD

“Some people believe good things come to those who wait – NOT ME – I believe good things come to those who go out and make it happen”

Had a brilliant Pilates workshop this morning – Getting Back to Basics – spent a wonderful 3hrs with a small group of like minded women under the guidance of our great teacher – then 4 of us had lunch together catching up – very relaxing.

Thank you to all my “cyber friends” on here for your support and kind words over the past couple of days, we are truly a global family always here for each other – @metatauta @scs @sirisan @coda @fayefaye @redrockgirl302 @maisie1 @onahealthyhigh @goldensun – Thank you for thinking of me and my friend – she was having biopsy today so will talk to her again tomorrow – All I can do is to be there for her and to keep her strong and positive, she is normally a strong woman and I am sure she will find the strength to fight. Thank you to those of you who linked me to some research on the affects of intermittent fasting on cancer (and also the restriction of refined sugars) – will definitely look into this

@scs – hope work went OK – must have seemed strange after a 3 month sabbatical – on the breakfast subject I no longer ever have breakfast as I never wake up hungry so I first eat when I feel hungry, usually late morning or lunchtime – do what feels good to you x
@ciren2 – small steps gets you there – you are moving in the right direction – stay strong “Do what you have to do until you can do what you want to do”
@lindasue – you have this WOL sussed – I’m trying to follow in your footsteps……
@mulville – hugs during this difficult time for you and your friend – stay strong and positive
@anna6 – so glad to see that you have rejoined again – missed you on the March Challenge after the 17th – stay with us and you will find lots of support here
@chumi – a fresh layer of snow covering everything when you wake up looks so good…….
@tillysmum – try to stay with this WOL whilst away, even if only partially – it works because it can become part of our lives……I do 16:8 days and try to fast for 1 day a week when on holidays to ensure that I don’t regain any of the weight lost – if you can check on line to log in it will give you great support!
@notmyrealname – sounds like you need a great big hug –
@hannahwatto – stick to the basics – there is no need to push yourself too hard – “There is no elevator to success – You have to take the stairs”
@coda – no apologies required – Your post made me think of this – “I am currently under construction. Thank you for your patience” Hugs my cyber friend – you have definitely got this.
@bert1802 – what a lovely day spent with your bestie!
@hhq – just stick to the basics – IT WORKS! The time to experiment is when fasting for 2 days a week has become a do-able part of your life……
@redrockgirl302 – WOW – well deserved reward for your determination and strength πŸ’ƒ 5 days to go for your European holiday……….drop us a line when you can to tell us of your travels
@snowflake56 – You have great strength and such a positive attitude to life “”Remember we strive for progress not perfection”
@goldensun – Lovely to hear from you again – great job on maintaining whilst on holidays πŸ‘. So sorry to hear about your relationship issues but no need to be embarrassed about your feelings and reactions……..so glad you remembered that we are your cyber family and that we are here for you “If you ever find yourself doubting that you can make it through a challenge. Simply think back to everything you have overcome in the past” HUGS.

Some great weight loss going and such positiveness glowing from the posts – well done you guys.
For those who are finding things a bit slow or are struggling – keep at it and things will change!
“Don’t start you day with the broken pieces of yesterday.
Every day is a fresh start.
Each day is a new beginning.
Every morning we wake up is the first day of our new life”

Day 12 Minneapolis US, FD. I’m so hungry I could eat an elephant!! But I will probably have a salad instead. Lol. Good luck to all fasters today.

@at I will do my best to stay as close to the plan as I can by I have a very loving sister who worries if I don’t eat sufficient food. Bless her I always did call her my second mum (she is the oldest I am the youngest)
Unfortunately no wifi so won’t be able to keep in touch. May be major damage control when I get home.

    4th post

    Thank you @hhq 😊🌸🌼

@flourbaby: Thanks, I will need the FD bank later! 😊🌺🌻

@goldensun: Sending you positive thoughts and yes,…..nobody is perfect!!! 😊🌻🌷

@at: Thank you. I will stay in touch. My KeepGo is loaded with over 5GB, my internet on the go!!!😊🌹⚘

    Day 13 – Tokyo, Japan – NFD 80.7kg

I haven’t read any of this today … overwhelming work load …

    4th Post Day 11 – US – FD 7:18 pm here now😊
@minnygirl I’m with you on that. I went for a good walk and I feel better, back on my water only FD. It was touch and go for awhile πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

@goldensun Welcome back. Virtual hugs to you. I’m sure things will work out for the best for you. Congrats on not gaining any weight.😊 Please don’t be embarrassed. All relationships have hiccups. You deserve to be happy with some one who loves you for you! When two people have that all things are possible. I hope it works out for you.βœ¨πŸ’›βœ¨
I have updated you on our spreadsheet.✨

@oakydokey. Hunger really does come in waves. Doesn’t it!?! I have to remind myself to “ride it out”. ha

Day 13 country West Australia NFD
    Day 12 NFD
    Day 11 NFD
    Day 10 FD

Sorry about being so hit and miss but the problems of technology, computers not working, connectivity and internet access in the deep south west of WA well ….. I am seriously OVER technology in a BIG way !!!!
On a brighter note, my 5:2 is going well. FDs not too hard and being quite mindful on NFDs, she says with Hot Cross Ins and Easter eggs on the horizon in a BIG way.
I will be mindful and appreciative as I eat every single morsel!!!
Salmon on the menu for Good Friday – looking forward to it.
    Have a good day all.

    Still day 12 –

GoldenSun – good for you with maintaining during your holidays. I’m glad you find this group a place to come and be yourself. I will pray for you with your OH.
I don’t remember if you two have tried counseling. Sometimes, a 3rd party can help people hear each other. I agree, as someone else mentioned, “No-one is perfect”.
It brings to mind something else I’ve heard – If two people agree 100% of the time; one is unnecessary. In any healthy relationship there are disagreements at times.
    We’re here for you GoldenSun.

    Another post –

@RedRockGirl – congrats on reaching 125 before your travels! Fantastic!

@Bert802 – thanks for your ACV recipe; my friend used to do it warm with honey. I like the stevia idea to stay away from the sugar.

@at – thanks for your sayings such as …” making it happen” instead of waiting for good things.

    Day 13 – South Korea – FD
Its been a while since I last checked in but life was a little crazy.
Day 9, 10, 11 were NFD eventhough I planned to do a FD on monday, day 10 but I went far over the allowed 500 kcal dinner. I have a hard time to stop eating so I rather make the FD liquid fasts and just eat on the NFDs.
Day 12 was also a FD as is today.

I really enjoy reading all the posts, really motivating to not give in to cravings. Stay strong everyone!

    Day 13–US– FD

    Day 13 UK FD

    Day 13 Croatia NFD
    Weight: 77.5 Kg

    Day 13 Oman NFD

Day 12 – NFD – In NY state right now!
    Days 10 & 11 also NFDs
I have temporarily fallen off the wagon. I’ve noticed that about 5 days before my cycle starts I bloat and gain 2-3 lbs. I feel lousy for about a week. This month that timeline has coincided with a car trip to visit family on the East Coast of the US. The visit is a bit stressful for a few reasons (long solo drive with kids, not knowing the health of the relative I am going to visit) so I’ve decided that I’m going to commit to staying below TDEE and eating in an 16:8 window but not ask more of myself. I’ll make next week count again with a B2B Mon&Tues and another FD on Thursday. Hopefully I’ll de-bloat and de-stress at the same time! I am looking forward to seeing the ocean 🌊 but am feeling out of my comfort zone emotionally. I suspect hormones are playing a part in this.

    Day 13 UK FD 🌈

Been really tired this week, don’t think it’s from my Fasts just stressful at work and I’m a comfort eater (crunchy things when stressed) therefore the FDs have stopped that, being in a pocket group made me make extra effort, so thanks guys. @okeydokey @flourbaby @skinnylove @bert1802 @taraga and anyone else who joined.

Last day today then I have a four day break from work hoping that I get some sleep and relax time, and catch up on posts, I like to read them all. 😊

@bert1802 thanks for pointing out about the vitamins, I take mine in bursts of when I remember and when I don’t, and I try to not always supplement with vitamins however this would have helped this week definitely, so obvious when someone else points it out, so thanks my fellow pocketeer, so have moved them by the kettle so will have with morning coffee.

So off for more dragon slaying 🐲X

    Day 13/ NFD/Melbourne Australia

Busy day today hopefully I can catch up later this evening.
Hope our NZ friends are staying safe and dry?

    Day 12- Montreal- FD
    Day 13- Montreal- NFD

    Day 13, Switzerland, FD
@strawberriesandcream thanks for the advice ☺ … yes, I’m a night owl πŸ˜… on two nights a week as I finish work at 10pm and need to wind down before I can go to bed. That’s when I’m in the “danger zone”.
Good luck to everyone today 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

    Day 13 UK FD

Day 13 UK NFD Yesterdays fast went well until 9pm when I had a couple of glasses of wine – not the plan but I did enjoy ,have a busy few days coming up so not planning to fast during the holiday will be back with avengance after Easter Good Luck all x

    Day 13 / UK / FD

Yesterday was okay, better than Tuesday’s FD, but I still felt less energetic than on Monday (no surprise there, I don’t see Monday being topped anytime soon). Scales have been kind-ish (which is good before the weekend that I am planning to have): 0.1kg up from yesterday to 6(!)3.9.

Right then, if it wasn’t for the BxB pocketeers I don’t think I’d be bothered today, but I’ll try to fast through that doughnut break AND organising an Easter egg hunt. We’ll see how it goes. I won’t beat myself up if I cave once or twice, it’ll still be less than I normally snack between 10.30 and 12 on a Thursday.

@Strawberriesandcream, thank you for your kind words! It is actually a difficult time for me personally at the moment. The ex is moving away tomorrow and so far we haven’t managed to find post-move common ground–it’s high time to move on for both of us. I will get there, but my brain has been prescribing the heart non-contact medicine, as everything else has not been quite working over the past weeks. I do thank the scales for currently providing some positive distraction.

@flourbaby, yes indeed! I actually cheated a little yesterday: a colleague brought home-made chocolote crisps to a meeting and as the box made the round I just couldn’t pass it on. Again it felt like drawing an inappropriate amount of attention to my fasting (I am talking about it too much anyway in the office). So I had one, but didn’t go back to the box when it returned with her to our office after the meeting. Does that still count?

@dykask, quite right! It took me until checking in during my lunch break to realise why those numbers looked so strange…

@okeydokey, yes it is, still in the 60kgs, not aspiring to ever make it into the 30s πŸ˜‰ Apologies for any confusion, and thank you so much for the continued encouragement!

    Day 12-UK FD
    Day 13 – UK NFD

Yesterday I was so hungry on my FD I was in a foul mood. Went to bed early to get the day over. This morning I’m full of energy and not hungry. What’s that about! My Creme eggs are still on the mantelpiece looking at me. So far I’ve not been tempted. Fortunately I don’t like hot cross buns as my husband ate his way through a packet of them yesterday. The house smelt wonderful when I came in from work, it’s really Eater and Spring now. @okey dokey. Just want to say thank you for your hard work on this forum. To everyone out there, your support is giving me so much willpower. Have a happy and healthy Easter everyone.

    Day 13 Newcastle UK NFD.
Fasting went well yesterday. My wife found a can of soup 60 calories lower than the one I was going to have so swapped and had a nice Apple as well, can’t believe how excited I got to have that Apple 🍎 😁.
Blue sky is back this morning but feels very cold today 6℃ ❄
Fasting finishing at 12 noon with some scotch broth and fruit, think I must of had every type of soup over the last few weeks lol.
Another fasting day tomorrow then weigh day Saturday.
Stay focused and have a great day whatever your doing.

    Day 13 UK NFD
