  • Day 6 USA FD

Good morning all! Our delightful 4-month-old golden retriever got me up at 4:30 again this morning. I don’t know why the sweet girl starts whining at clawing at her crate at that time. It would be nice if my FD didn’t start so early in the morning then I’d have fewer hours to spend trying not to eat!!

    Day 1 weight: 177lb
    Day 6 weight: 177lb

    ✨✨✨Have a great day everyone!✨✨✨

    Day 6 Warwickshire Uk NFD

Successful 4th FD yesterday – yippee!

    Dolly

    Day 6 UK. NFD.
    WEIGHT 66.8 Kg
Think I may have to revise downwards my end of April goal of 66.5Kg Yippee! . Will decide on Monday before I go on holiday, after I’ve weighed myself!

I’ll put this here if it offends anyone I’ll say sorry up front.
I found it funny and can see myself in it. Have a great day and have a giggle at yourself from time to time.
Things only people who’ve joined slimming clubs will know.

    1. You will wear exactly the same thing to get weighed each week. Even if it’s -2 degrees outside you’ll be wearing a floaty summer dress and freezing your tits off.

    2. You’ve considered weighing in wearing just a swimming costume.

    3. There’s always a Janet in the group who takes 42 cruises a year.

    4. You’ll save all your Syns/Points up in the week so you can neck a bottle of vodka on Friday night.

    5. There’s always a Pauline in group who ate 8 sausage rolls at her cousin’s funeral and put on 5 pounds in a week.

    6. You will not eat a thing before weigh in. Even if weigh in is at 8pm.

    7. You’ll praise a Susan who maintained.

    8. Food on the diet a bit dry? Quark. Need a creamy hit in your pasta? Quark. Broken leg? Quark. End world poverty? Quark.

    9. Group leader: “You can eat a whole bag of pasta if you need to…..but you won’t be able to”
You: “I beg to fucking differ Linda”.

    11. There will always be one lone man called Peter in group who loses 9 pounds each week. He seems like a lovely chap but you’ll all secretly hate the bastard.

    12. You will be unable to poo before you get weighed. As soon as you get home….massive shit.

    13. The group leader will try to tell you that potatoes cut into strips and sprayed in Fry Light are “better than chip shop chips”. This is bullshit Linda. Bullshit.

    14. A new flavour of Müller Light is announced and it creates a frenzy of riot proportions.

    15. Linda is no skinny cow herself and doesn’t follow the plan.

    16. Syns/Points don’t count if it’s to help cure a hangover. They also don’t count if you’re eating them off another person’s plate.

Steve toon taxi driver… absolutely right… !! I used to even take my earrings off!!

    Days 5 and 6 – Aus – NFDs

    Forgive my tardiness!

    Day 6…..Florida……FD

I feel a bit out of sorts today, I’m not exactly sure. Maybe this brain has way to much on it at this point…..
Lately, my FD have been well over the standard 500 calories, theyve been adding up to around the 800-1000 calorie range. In all actuality, it’s been this way since I’ve return from vacation. So, I’m going to try and break this habit and do another FD until I can get my calorie intake correct.
    I’ve been 144 for about two weeks now…. this s*it is bananas….. B-A-N-A-N-A-S!
I refuse to accept this plateau that I’m currently on!

I really was hoping to be in the 130’s by May as I have a closet over haul planned mid month. I swear, I have more laying on the floor then I do hanging. I just don’t know what fits and what doesn’t anymore. The kicker is too, I bought a brand new pair of jeans and now can’t find them. I’m sure they are in that hell hole somewhere but hanging up or thrown on the floor. That is where the question lies. Now that I’m thinking about it, maybe I should plan this over haul for the days off I have over Easter.

    Okay, I’m rambling !

Be classy, sassy and a bit bad assy today!

    2nd post🌈

Steve Toon Taxi driver – I got the joke, being a former slimming world/WW babe myself, made me chuckle x and only too true.

    Day 6 …….West Midlands, UK …….NFD

I’ve missed posting a few days as I had a bit of a crisis with my husband……suspect heart attack.

Anyway, still managed to stick to my FD , nearly had a FD forced upon me after spending 10 hrs in A&E at the local hospital.

    Hopefully back to normal now.

    Day 6- US- B2BFD

Yesterday I fasted and ingested calories. Minus the exercise deduction of 194 (didn’t do much, lol) I ended up at 607. I would have had lower, but got hungry in the late evening and made a nice bowl of mussels with tomato and onions which really filled me up. I slept well after that!

When you calculate you caloric intake do you just look at food eaten to stay on track, or subtract the exercise also?

    3rd post 🌈 Update

Little box of willpower, going strong and getting full! (This was a drawer that I started at work when anyone offered me a sweet, I accepted gratefully and said I was doing Lent (or FD) and would have it later). I at first wanted to see just how many sweets I would have eaten, now it’s become a symbol of my willpower and I’m glad to say not a challenge to not eat. At the end of Lent will I eat some? – probably, but I don’t have to eat them all afraid that they might disappear as it’s been 36 days and not one is missing!

Also note the irony in this just been informed I have won a box of Hotel 🍫 Chocolate chocolates! Temptation Dragon 🐲I can see off with my trusty 🗡Pocketeer sword!

    🌈Reply to @umka36

I personally do not deduct exercise from my daily total of calories as I use it as an extra tool to move that scale downwards. Preference is yours though. Good luck and well done for exercising, it all helps. 🏃🏼‍♀️

2nd post – I was shocked by how much impact the 3 teaspoons of sugar had on me this morning. I was jittery for over an hour and even started to sweat a bit. After months of avoiding refined sugar I have become a lot more sensitized to it I guess. I still figure I get from 10g to 20g of refined sugar a day, but it is spread out. The impact was the same as when I experimented with very rich ice cream.

    @chumi – 5g / day of salt is a very large amount.
I’m am interested in the salt build up. It also seems that blood pressure is considered less of an issue as people get older. My father tells we they hardly do anything at his physicals anymore. However that is rural USA. He will be 85 in May. That may be part of the reason people don’t live as long in the USA. Getting back to the salt, I’m totally impressed that subcutaneous salinity can be measured with MRI. That must have been some pretty intense math.

Hi umka6, the answer is no. Any exercise you do only has an estimated calories burned. When you fast you stick to the calories consumed, ie your daily allowance and do not subtract any calories burned during exercise. Remember we are all burning calories just breathing and going about our daily lives.
    GOOD LUCK.

Day 6 – East Coast Canada – NFD

    Day 6, Cumbria UK, NFD
steve toon taxi driver- so funny, made me laugh, cant believe I thought I was the only one who pulled those tricks!!!

    Day 2 – UAE – FD

Hello everyone, I’d like to join the April challenge. Started 6 weeks back and lost around 6.5kg (around 14.3 pounds I guess).

I am a Muslim so I am used to fasting. For the last 6 weeks, I have been fasting Mondays and Thursdays from dawn to dusk following the Prophet Mohammed teaching and after reading The Fast Diet book.

3 hours to go and yet to do an hour of treadmill before breaking my fast… 

    Day 6 – Switzerland – NFD

Just a quick note to say hello, back outside to get some gardening done while this lovely weather lasts. Cheery-pip all!

    Day 6 – NSW Aust – NFD
Not having a good day….nothing to do with food.
@tillergirl i hope your hobby is ok.
    Take care everyone.

Sorry @tillergirl (darn autocorrect) i meant hubby.

Day 6 Chicago, Illinois USA – NFD

Weighed in this morning (not my normal weigh in day), gained 2 pounds, up to 145, I usually weigh in on Saturday, after my usual Friday fast day. Hoping for better results a week from Saturday at my next weigh in.

Will be out of town through Sunday, so posting my days below.

    Day 7 – NFD
    Day 8 – NFD
    Day 9 – NFD

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Day 6: Gloucestershire, UK: NFD…..to add to all the others.

@and-exhale thanks for the Swiss good-vibes and hug….and I’ll try to imagine all that fresh mountain air to heal my sad self.
    @erika45 you too?…sending hugs.
Fast-day? Maybe, maybe….next week sometime when I’m back at work and busy.

    Day 6 Surrey UK FD

Sorry I haven’t caught up with posts, but will try and read through tonight. Having a good FD today! Good luck all.

Hi chumi, reading that your in Finland reminded me of an article I read recently, “Blue Zones, The Science of Living Longer” by Dan Buettner. He wrote about an area in Finland, North Karelia where 4 decades ago an experiment to change eating habits took place with what seems to be a successful outcome. A North Karelian Stew had only 3 ingredients, water, pork and salt, a local sausage was mainly pork and salt, and bread (for breakfast) was smothered in butter. Needless to say, Heart Attacks were common place as the population aged and the objective was to reduce said Heart Attacks and to improve overall health. It seems that the project was successful with, among other things deaths from heart disease among working-age men dropping by 85%.
The project targeted eating a healthier diet and cutting smoking and as a result the project went country wide in Finland according to Buettner.
Is Finland as a country into such a healthier eating way of life or is there still work to be done?.
Good luck with your 5:2 WOL.

LynzM: Love your little box of willpower idea! Drawer full of uneaten sweets… brilliant!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

    Day 6, Germany, FD
    Day 5, NFD

Do what is right, not what is easy.

Think of cutting some carbs (including sugar, rice and flour) from my weekday plan.

    @mia139 @soontobe very funny 😀

Day 6, USA, Missouri Ozarks, NFD

Maintaining below goal weight of 145.

Beautiful day here, happy for that. Plan to do some yard work then relax a bit, get real pretty (might better allow a little more time for that) haha and
then head out for a date night with the good looking hubby. We will head to our favorite spot, the Mexican restaurant where they know us and love us. When we walk in they nod to our table. Once somebody else was sitting there, which was fine, but they joked that they really should have put a RESERVED sign there. Great people, great food, great time.

Wishing a great time today/tonight for you all.

tillergirl, prayers for your husband (and you.)

    Day 6 MN USA. NFD

    Post 3

Went back to read my post, and it sounded a bit silly. Of course I “Ingested calories” lol

It was 801 calories. Minus the exercise deduction of 194 (didn’t do much, lol) I ended up at 607.

    Day 6 – CARDIFF UK – NFD

    Starting Weight : 160.8lbs

@tillergirl, hope your husband is on the mend and that you’re getting a chance to relax. A&E can be a stressful place, especially for relatives when there’s nothing we can do to help our loved ones but trust the doctors.

I’ve relaxed the FD a bit this week to see what difference it makes. So far not losing as much following a FD, but not gaining as much following a NFD. I’ll only be able to properly review the effects next week.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

    Day 6USA-WA NFD
@taraga Welcome to the group! As someone who fasts as part of your faith practice, I suspect we will all learn from you about incorporating this as a WOL (Way of Life). Glad you are joining us.

Had a good FD yesterday, with a lite meal toward the end of the day so I slept better. Thanks for the article on ketogenics and salts/mineral deficiencies. That was really helpful!

    Day 6 – USA – NFD
    @tillergirl, hugs to you!

    Day6 Maine FD

Good morning all – very hungry yesterday – broke my rule of “kitchen closed” at 8:00 pm (have been trying to move that to 7:00), but found myself needing to “crunch” around 10. In retrospect, realized it was emotional eating – yesterday was frustrating w/planning of Easter gathering – getting all factions of family & step-family on same page. Realized my attack of the munchies directly related to level of frustration. That doesn’t happen often – think nerves are heightened w/return to work looming. Happy I figured it out, am aware & know I can to better!

@tillergirl – hoping all turns out ok w/hubby.

Make it a great day everybody!

Day 6 – USA (Utah, visiting) – NFD

Great long day of skiing yesterday, but did eat to keep up my energy. I am happy at 68 to still be skiing at all, and the friends my daughter had along agreed that Grandma did great to keep up with all the kids we had with us. Don’t know when I will get a FD in again, probably not for a while, so will have to eat carefully. Some of daughter’s friends are coming to our condo for BBQ this evening, so will try not to plan too much good food. I think they are bringing dessert. So fun being on vacation!

Today will be a day off, skiing again tomorrow.

    Onward and downward, everyone!

Day 6 FD. – water only. Lancaster pa.

    Day 6 – Belfast – FD
@steve toon taxi driver – hilarious!
FD today, it’s a little bit tough, but I’m on the diet cola, fizzy water…anything to keep me ticking over. Good luck everybody else.

I was starting to get a bit anxious again about possible metabolic slowdown from just eating 800 calories a day as it seems to go against the advice of Jason Fung and others saying restricted calorie diets are a bad idea.

I found this review showing that Jason Fung approves although he doesn’t directly address the apparent discrepancy:
    https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/book-review-8-week-blood-sugar-diet/

And then I found this article which does address it:
    http://www.noted.co.nz/health/health/beat-the-blood-sugar/

It seems the difference is nutrition, as indeed I suspected. If you carefully use your 800 calories you can meet nutritional needs and so not cause the starvation effects that ruin your metabolism when you are actually starved and so you will not mess up your metabolic rate by doing it: “Mosley says it is possible to cut calories right down and still be adequately nourished, and he is adding his voice to those calling for a rethink on the recommended balance of fat and carbohydrates in our diets…Mosley advocates a simpler approach, cutting out these refined carbs altogether and replacing them with beans, lentils, chickpeas, quinoa and buckwheat, combined with lots of vegetables, the less-sweet fruits, quality proteins and fats from olive oil, nuts, yoghurt, butter, cheese and coconut. He dubs this the M-Plan, since mostly it is a low-carb version of the traditional Mediterranean diet. …
So what of the 5:2 diet and intermittent fasting that until now have been the approach Mosley has energetically recommended? He hasn’t abandoned that and sees it as a gentler option for diabetics and pre-diabetics who struggle with a very low-calorie diet.

“You won’t lose weight as fast as you would if you stuck to 800 calories a day but it can be more effective than conventional dieting.””

The difference between the old style 5/2 and his new version is not to make it easier by adding exgra calories but to make it more effective by getting rid of those dangerous sugars and processed carbs and emphasize the benefits of longer intermittent fasts by going longer without eating anything during the two fast days. The old 500/600 calorie level was never tested in any way anyway. I think getting the extra nutrition from those extra calories is more important than the minimal extra weightloss not eating them will get you. 600 calories in a week won’t make much of a difference if you look at it as a percentage. One poor choice on a NFD wipes that out in a few minutes.

    Day 6, USA, NFD
I discovered something new about IF: no matter how much water I think I am drinking on FDs, it’s not enough. I woke up so dehydrated today — I am on my 9th — yes, NINE tall waters and it’s only 10am. so note to self: drink even more water on FDs. good luck everyone — going to get another drink.
p.s. I’ll weight myself after the next FD to see progress, as “that time of month” throws off weight.

    Day 6 – Germany – FD

Day 6 – SW WA USA – NFD

Actually in southern BC in Canada. Aiming to make it a 16:8.
My dad asked if I wanted to come fix breakfast in their suite, and I used it as an opportunity to talk about my habit of usually only eating two meals a day. So we decided I’d join them for coffee this morning. Later we’ll have lunch together. In the evening we’re planning to join more family at a restaurant.

The traveling FD yesterday went well.

Tillergirl – I’m praying for your hubby & you.

Flour baby – thanks for the reminder of 5:2 benefits long-term.

    Day 6 – London, UK – NFD

Tentatively stepped on the scales this morning and saw a 0.4kg loss, which I’m pleased about given my NFD yesterday. Still, I think I’ll try to weigh only once a week as I know I tend to get a bit obsessive about the numbers, and I try to focus more on measurements and tangible progress.

My throat is quite a bit better today but still not 100%. I’m hoping to be able to exercise a bit from the weekend onwards and carry that on on NFDs in the future.

    Day 6 – London UK – FD

OOH, I am struggling. I resisted the big boozy lunch by claiming a meeting, but now sitting on the train looking longingly at the chocolate muffin the train temptress (trolley lady) has put in front of me. Witch!

I’m going to pop it in my bag and have it tomorrow. Hopefully I won’t actually want it then! Gosh, I think FDs are much harder when travelling – makes me realise how much snacking I would normally do on a trip.. 😳 Breakfast, morning tea, coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, sweets for the trip, dinner. It’s a wonder I could fit on a train at all before this WOL!

Last day of the B3B and I am determined to finish it out. Gathering willpower (and accountability) from all of you, my fast friends – we got this! 👊🤝💪

    Day 6 – US – FD

Yestarday’s FD was hard, that ketone flu kicked in for my Birthday celebrating on the 4th. Thank-you to all the Birthday wishes for our twins. I made it to FD number 2, basically just drank water, warm lemon 🍋 water and stevia. I had electrolytes and my regular Omega oil and vitamins. I had a small probiotic drink to help with that stuck feeling in my tummy and part of the Neuro SLEEP drink I have at night, along with spraying my feet with magnesium. I say this, because these are the things that get me through my FD’s 😊 The 2nd day is so much better, almost to the, light with calm energy stage😊 I’ll be on my rower today✨ Wishing Everybody FD’rs and NFD’rs a great Day!

@skinnylove 💐Good for you and your pretty slim dress!💐🌷🌺Your hard work is paying off.
@steffieagle 🌺✨You’ll be joining us soon in Pennsylvania😊PA is a large state. What area of Pennsylvania will you be living in?✨🌷✨
@saffy420 I’m reading your post, Congratulations!😊✨On your Sunday and Monday and Wednesday FD’s✨✨🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨✨and Tuesday NFD! Your doing great! The potassium, magnesium and a little sodium are helping me. I’m hoping they will make your next FD’s next week, be more bearable😊💫🤜🏻✨🤛🏻👍Also the warm water with lemon 🍋 and stevia, SLEEP by Neuro and the spray magnesium for the bottoms of my feet are helping me get to sleep on FD’s. They might help you also. ✨
@missymay Congrats💃🕺🏼On your decrease in weight to 149.4 lbs✨Way to go ✨ @jojo58 I’m interested in your advice about making natural yogurt. I used to make Kefir before we moved to our new location. I buy it for now because I love the Kefir.😍 Your getting back in the swing of things and doing great! Thanks for being in our April group! You Got This!!!😊 ✨ 🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨👍
@strawberriesandcream I’m glad to be of service😊The first week was pretty busy, getting everybody put into the spreadsheet. Now, I feel like I’m getting into a groove in finding the time to update our group worksheet.😊 Talking about our FD and NFD plan, it’s not a race, you get to enjoy yourself and also be flexible. The beauty is the body literally will start “looking forward” to fast days because it feels better.✨I think it’s great that everybody has their own goals and are going at their own pace. I’m pretty sure that’s one of the reasons it works so well.✨I see you’ve had 2 FD’s that went well and your looking at 2 more today and tomorrow. If you’ve been eating mostly vegs and protein, you’re mostly going to be inthe fat burning
    Zone. ✨✨Your doing well✨✨Keep on, Keepin’ on!✨✨🎉
@endellion ✨You are in the zone. 🤜🏻✨🤛🏻 you mentioned it being a CD, If you keep to vegs and protein and even fats. You’ll continue burning fat even on NFD’s ✨🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨✨You Got This✨✨
@fatrabbit ✨✨Awesome that your are HIITing it!😊My left leg still has issues or I would be looking into that now. I’m going to do the rowing machine today though. ✨✨We’ll be seeing those ab muscles soon! ✨✨You Got this!✨✨🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨
@missymoomoo Thanks for the info. I looked through the posts, April start weight not there. Do you want to share it? It’s ok if you don’t.✨
@jennferb I hope your resting will help you feel better soon! ✨
@stevetoontaxidriver 🤣I know what your saying, now I hear the narrator of Big Brother in my head, “All going well with the 5:2 plan, exercise around 6pm fasting and non fasting going well! Feeling Very focused only into my third week. I am hoping for a good loss this week after I stood still on my last weight check last Sunday.
    Keep focused and smile 😁
    ✨✨Together we are Stronger!✨✨Keep on, Keepin’ on!✨✨
@stevetoontaxidriver All I have to say is 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Thanks ✨for the laugh 😂Laughter is great medicine.
Bert1802 ✨You have seen the light and you are empowered to Do This! ✨✨We Got You!✨✨ You Got This!✨✨✨🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨✨
@tillergirl I hope your husband feels better soon! I’m hoping the doctor(s)will help. You are a trooper 2 FD’s during the stressful situation this week. Take care of yourself also. Make sure you have enough electrolytes and some veggies. 😊✨
@umka6 I just count cals of food eaten. It’s an extra bonus when you exercise but I don’t adjust the calories. Something you may or might not already
Know. Depending on your weight you will already be burning between 1400 cals – 1800 cals just to maintain body functions. 1100 – 1200 for slim people. It takes 3500 to make or burn off a lb. So let’s say at 1500 cals x 3 days = 4,500 cals. Burned that makes around 1lb and 1/4 burned in three days just by not doing anything. I think of that sometimes and it takes the stress off a bit. I try to eat for health but give myself 1 day to pick something I might be “craving” for. ✨✨Your doing great with your plan✨✨🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨✨Keep on Keepin’ on ✨✨
    ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
    ✨✨We Got This✨✨
    ✨Together we are stronger ✨✨✨💪✨✨🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨✨😊

Day 6 FD St Louis USA
@stevetoontaxiedriver. Hilarious! Loved the irreverent humor.

    Best of luck to all.

day 6 in rainy northern California. Planned to be a FD but “forgot” and made smoothies for all of us this morning. I’ll try to fast through til tomorrow am, something I haven’t attempted before. Weight down 1/4 lb. Any amount encouraging

Day 6, Rocky Mountains, US, FD 800 cals

Hi to our great group 🌸🌺🌻🌼🌹

Love reading this wonderful thread in the morning with my coffee. It really sets the day for me! 😊
@fatrabbit, thanks for the links to the articles about 800 cals daily. Low carb Mediterranean diet- this is what I consume every day for now and it is sustainable. This will be my new WOE when I am at home until I reach my ultimate weight goal.
Traveling will be a challenge but I will stick to 16:8 and try to make mindful choices when possible. I just feel so much better when I eat the right things. I dislike feeling too full, stomach stretched out and bloated.

Have a great day everyone!!! 😊⚘😊⚘😊

    3rd Post Day 6 – US – FD
@notmyrealname I just saw your post. I can somewhat relate. My husband travels including on the train for work and he’s usually extra exhausted from that, I can see how tempting those muffins can be. I’ve put things in my pockets, sometimes just knowing they are there is enough for me to realize I didn’t really need to eat them. Besides the muffin might get stale and less appetizing before too long😊✨Taking B complex vitamins along with a multi vitamin can help with the extra stress that comes with traveling on the train often. We still buy groceries similarly to the way we used to shop. Haven’t completely been willing to buy only fresh fruits and veggies and then we can’t eat some yummy including carb stuff because we’re fasting. We both said last night we’ve got to quit buying it, because it’s going bad in the fridge because we’re not eating it, because of FD or NFD CD 😝😜✨✨Good Luck and Good Travels on the train, Stay strong my Freind.✨✨ 🤗 Just like The Little Engine that Could, You Got this! Sometimes it takes 1 minute at a time✨ I think I can, I think I can will turn into I thought I could, I thought I could!✨🤜🏻✨🤛🏻✨🤗

Hi Day 6 UK Co Down fd (11.7)

Still not caught up on all the posts so apologies if I am not responding to anyone’s comments directed at me.

A few above caught my eye

@tillergirl – hope all is good with Hubby

@neostaford – I saw your name pop up when I posted yesterday – good to see you back and posting – you were missed so its nice to hear from you again.

@steve toon taxi driver ha ha so funny but soooo true.

Feeling better each day and one of these days I will catch up.

    Day 6 London NFD

Hi everyone, I started a hilarious burlesque dancing class last night, so difficult to channel my inner Betty Paige – I’m a feminist of course and this morning I wondered if maybe I take myself too seriously to actually succeed in this class! – It goes on for 6 weeks so hopefully I will pick something up but I did feel very silly cavorting around with a feather boa!

But the timing of the class meant I just grabbed a small sushi for supper which wasn’t enough and woke up starving this morning and craving breakfast at 7am which hasn’t happened for ages. I had been skipping breakfast most days since starting a new job in January.

So this morning I had quick scrambled eggs and baked beans which was very enjoyable.

Scales are staying consistent despite only 1 FD this week but the real test will be the weekend as ever… although I have found that my appetite has changed a lot. I am satisfied with smaller portions and even if I do feel like the occasional snack or treat… a small treat is enough and I often find it’s the idea of having the treat that is more compelling than the actual thing and on a few occasions I have allowed myself the cake / ice cream / chocolate only to find that after 2 bites I didn’t even want it any more – tasted too rich or sweet and not at all as good as I had imagined…. Long may this feeling last!

Good luck to all on their FDs and NFDs!
