Good dishes for a vegetarian not overly fond of eggs?

“@maryleamington: what do you recommend vegetarians to eat on a fast day? I don’t eat fish, not wild about eggs!” Any ideas anyone? Tofu?

@maryleamington try bean and spelt broth from ‘River Cottage Veg Everyday’. Delicious and filling and only about 200cals a serving.

@DrMichaelMosley @maryleamington I am strict vegetarian. I eat homemade tomato soup 100cal stir fry veg 200 cal. Or homemade ratatouille

@DrMichaelMosley @maryleamington I find a banana sandwich (half a banana, 2oz bread) great. Also soup, feta salad (with beetroot etc)
