Understanding My TDEE

  • BMI is: 31.3
    BMR is: 1515
    TDEE is: 1818 calories

    I’m having trouble wrapping my head around what I need to know and do with knowing what these 3 numbers mean. I know there are posts about this, but can’t find them. I’m new to the site and finding my way around. Thanks for the help. Y’all are very encouraging.

    Go to the top of the page and look in ‘How’. You will find definitions of the three.

    TDEE is the one most used. It is the number of calories needed by a body to neither gain nor lose weight. With 5:2 generally, you want to eat your 5/600 calories twice a week and eat at or below your TDEE for the other five.
