  • I have recently used Truvia which I believed to be 100% Stevia but it’s not. Also, along with Natvia and maybe other brands, I noticed that they vary from no calories to just a few but my main concern is they all have quite high carbohydrates especially if you need a high quantity for lets say cake making.

    Good or bad, what’s your view on this? Maybe I should stick with saccharine haha

    I’m no expert. All I know is that I cut out all added sugars, Splenda, diet sodas etc, and cut way way down on processed foods and carb-rich foods (potatoes, rice, pasta, bread) when I started with 5:2 on March 14 2016. Been following 5:2 very faithfully since then. To date I’ve lost about 28-29 lbs and I’m very pleased.

    I’ve tried a few different brands of stevia for my tea and coffee, and find I like the SweetLeaf liquid stevia drops best. I buy it on Amazon. In comes in flavor so as well as in unflavored.
