  • Weigh in yesterday showed no loss for the week. Up to now I have seen 1.5- 2 pound loss each week. I am already doing a 4:3 ADF and have dropped 15.5 pounds. Maybe this week was a fluke…or perhaps I over-indulged on my NF days? It is possible. May add a day next week and see if it makes any difference. Only 14.5 more pounds to go to reach my goal for the year!!!

“Maybe this week was a fluke…”

I’m overjoyed to be on a plateau, in spite of going away from my fasting and workout disciplines.

Staying the same is good for me now, until the next leap forward.

Hey Carla, having a plateau like this can have sooooo many reasons. I know it’s always easier to say to someone else (I don’t like seeing no difference on the scale either) but just wait and see what this week does!

Put the scales away and check out your measurements. I had a plateau of a month but lost 7 inches! I am not the only one either.

Just keep going and you will see the visible changes. Try on your clothes.

Maybe you will reach your goal in the size of your waist rather than the lbs lost.

Oh and Carla don’t forget that some days you just weigh more than other days. Yesterday I was 87,8 I believe, and this morning I was 86,9… could be your body is hanging on to some fluids or something. Just keep at it, and focus on how you feel and not what the scales say. It’s just a stupid machine anyway. It’s like letting a sowing machine determine your self image.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone 🙂

I have already lost 15.5 pounds and dropped 2 sizes since the end of July…so I KNOW this works. Just had not experienced a plateau since I started. Also….looking back at that week thinking maybe I overindulged a bit more than usual.

Looking forward to seeing what Saturday’s weigh in brings!

Saturday the scales showed slight movement…another half pound. I can still feel and see progress in my clothes and am sticking with the ADF. I’ve also noticed with the combined exercise I am toning up and getting more muscular definition in my legs and arms…so maybe that has something to do with it. Has anybody else noticed this?

Today is a Fast Day and I’m making some homemade French Onion Soup and Salad for my meal 🙂

    Happy Fasting!

Well done Carla. My arms and legs are much more defined along with 2 definite concave areas next to what should be abs. Just remember Carla, that more muscle means more weight loss/inches lost even at rest.

Making a roast followed by brownies and ice cream……….not a fast day!

Aye, muscles make the scales slow down but your fat burning speed up! Muscles are heavier and require more energy to function than fat, so that’s a great development ^^

I believe the muscle toning may also tighten up the skin. Someone mentioned that after losing weight, the skin will sag or wrinkle.

I’m almost certain on this although it may vary with each individual.

At least, delaying the aged look with strength training would be a positive.

Aye, I think that is true. However, with people who were severely obese this won’t be the case. Muscles will make your physique look more toned, strong and tight (skin wise)
