  • Hi,
I’m just starting out and have bought a number of Michael and Mimi’s book plus watched a variety of programs featuring Michael. I have ‘The Fast Diet Recipe Book’ which states that this is for fasting days. Can you recommend a good Mediterrean cook book for the non-fasting days? In one interview I saw Michael say that there are many incorrect versions of the Med diet, so I want to ensure that I am following the Med diet principles correctly.

Hi Cate, I see that Dr. Mosley has now released a recipe book based on the 8 week blood sugar diet which is based on the Mediterranean diet. Though he didn’t write it himself, he is promoting it on his 8 week blood sugar diet web page. Given that Dr. Mosley is endorsing this book, it might give the best recipes for remaining in accord with the Mediterranean diet. If the calories are too low, one can always add extras of some ingredients for NFDs or enlarge the serving sizes? Here’s the link to Dr. Mosley’s BSD web page that features the book:

P.S. Given these recipes are also on the 8 week blood sugar diet website, I’m gathering that they also would be in accord with the Mediterranean diet…
