  • I have been doing 5:2 for 2 1/2 weeks. I am NOT diabetic, however I own a blood sugar meter and started checking my blood sugar once per week since I’ve been doing intermittent fasting. My morning blood sugar after a fasting day started at 109 and has steadily declined over the last 2 1/2 weeks to 101. I am very happy about that, and I hope to get it under 100 and keep it there.

But here’s my question…… Blood sugar is about the only thing I can measure at home. Since I have documented results of my sugar coming down, what other things are PROBABLY coming down as well that I am unable to measure at home. Inflammation? Cholesterol???? A1C?????? Something else????? (I should say my blood pressure runs on the low end of normal, so that isn’t an issue.)
