  • In the paper the other day Philip schofield was praising the 5:2 diet and has lost 2 stone! (well done to him!) He raised an interesting point to remember on fast days that it goes back to our hunter-gatherer days when food was not always readily available. And that the body is supposed to go hungry and it does us good to have those feelings of hunger time to time. Which often in our quantiful modern day diets we never really get to experience.

Good Old phil! I’m glad the fast diet is so successful. personally I don’t eat on a fast day at all, and quite enjoy the hunger sensation, as It feels like my body is burning off fat. (that’s what I tell myself anyway)

I know what you mean, on fast days i sometimes also quite enjoy the hunger sensation. Like you say it assures me that it’s working and my body is working to lose weight.
