Night Shift advice please!

  • Hi I did the 5:2 a few years ago and have decided to come back to it and make it a lifestyle.

    So my question is do you think this can work?

    I work as a carer Sunday and Tuesday nights. I have 3 children so I’m awake all the day before my shift which starts at 8pm and finishes at 8am. I then get to sleep from 9am-11am then have to pick my youngest up from nursery then spend the afternoon with him before picking the others up. I eventually go to sleep again about 9.

    So what I was thinking of fasting on my work nights I have my dinner at about 5pm then can go till 8pm the next day when I can have a 500cal meal. Do you think this could work?

    Ofcourse it should/will work. A total caloric reduction, irrespective of the time, has an effect on the body. Doesn’t matter if its with day/night.
