Hello everyone! I just joined the forum today and thought I’d introduce myself. I’m 40 years old and have been on the 5:2 for about 3 months now. My wife has been on the diet for 2 years and has had great results so she encouraged me to try it. I’m 40 years old and had been over 200 lbs since grade 11, topping out at 238 1 year ago. Traditional diets got me down to 220 but I couldn’t seem to get any lower and the yo-yo effect seemed to be the norm. After 3 months on 5:2 I’m now down to 189lbs and I haven’t felt this good in forever! My blood pressure and blood sugar levels were both a concern before and they’ve followed my weight to the point where I’m actually out of the danger zone :). Anyway, just wanted to express my gratitude to the diet and everyone behind it!
