  • Hello everyone and thank you for all your sympathy for my footie awww ah well its not quite the end but i do think it will take a bit of a miricle for England to progress , Lets hope that Rochdale AFC have another good season lol , ok enough football i can hear you all saying πŸ™‚

at my weigh in this morning I have put 1 lb on but I have lost another half inch from my waist , So I am not getting to down about that gain , I rather think it was due to my over extravagance last weekend with the Grand Children , plus with ALL the support i get on here and FB i am more determined to loose it next by next friday

Jean = If you want to go all gooey over your hubby then you just go for it girl , we do not mind at all x We are all so supportive on this thread we can say most anything we want to

Manda = Please do NOT get get upset cos you only lost 1.5 lbs this week , everyone on here is going to tell you , that is fantastic and it is ok hun , you are doing really well , remember this 5:2 is more a way of life and it does take some getting used to , i am still learning as i move along my journey , i have only been doing this for 11 weeks so by sticking together on this thread and FB we are all giving each other a big lift

Wow sorry for rambling on πŸ™‚

so to everyone else have a great day
    and
May the calorie force be with us all

    Good Morning everyone!
Manda, I agree with Ken…you are doing fabulous. I know, based upon how hard you worked, that you didn’t lose as much as you like, but I’ve found that the weightloss just goes in spurts. Some weeks are less, and then who knows, the next week, you might lose MORE than normal. It all evens out in the end.

Jean(dee) – That’s very cool about what your husband is doing with Project Hope. I’ve heard of others who have done something simliar. I’m sure it’s also a very rewarding experience for your husband (in addition to the weightloss from working so hard!).

3wishes – Wow! That’s great progress from over the past year! How funny that they call you the incredible shrinking woman. I think your last statement about how you did this with little drama and deprivation pretty much sums up about how I feel about the fasting program. I love it for that reason alone!

Charmaine – I think you will have great results next Tuesday! Keep it up through the weekend and keep focused on your goals. I’ll be anxious to read Tuesdays check in!

Karen – wow! You have made great progress this week! I’m sure you will be to your goal by the end of next week, in losing those last 2lbs. πŸ™‚

As for me, it’s a fast day again today. Today is also the last day of the third week on this program, so far, i’m at a 8.5lb loss for the three weeks, and couldn’t be happier. You know, it’s interesting. I know they tell us to weigh in the morning after a fast day, but for whatever reason, my weight is ALWAYS up the morning after a fast day. But the morning after a regular eating day, is usually when I show the biggest losses. Go figure! So I was so happy to see the scales number this morning!

I’m looking forward to the weekend. I have a family gathering to attend tomorrow, and fully intend to have a piece of cake. πŸ™‚

    hi all

charmaine – good luck for tuesday. cant wait to hear your results x

karen – well done on your loss. excellent result. holiday pics were lovely and the place itself looked amazing

manda – 9.5lbs in 3 weeks is awesome. well done you. don’t be downhearted over it. simco posted to charmaine on here a couple of days back and it was quite informative what was said about exercise and holding water. may be worth a read for you, may ease your mind a little as to the reasons. what sort of puppy do you have?

ken – well….what can i say about the football???? did you have that wee dram??

dee – i dont blame you for being gooey over your husband. he sounds like a really good guy and i take my hat off to him for his hard work on project hope

3wishes – you are quite an inspiration with your loss so far. you are truly the shrinking woman x

hi to everyone else and have a great weekend

    take care all x

Evening to all. Well done Ken on your waist loss, forget about that lb it will surely go by next week;) Manda, you’re doing so well for someone who’s pretty new to this. Exercise makes us retain water so that could be a reason you didn’t lose as much as you thought but the loss was still brilliant and a loss is a loss after all πŸ™‚
As for me, well one week on my own at work down and one to go πŸ™‚ Can’t wait till its over, I work in a busy Xray department and boy has it been busy this week! I’m really looking forward to my meal out tonight – anniversary was last week but we’re celebrating tonight! May even partake in a pudd, they do an amazing melt in the middle chocolate sponge…
Well better go get ready or Mr Creegan will be going out on his own! See you all later x

Hello good people. I read through your posts and you are all going in the right direction. It’s a process, isn’t it? This is not a fast day for me, but so far, at 3:35pm, I have consumed 600 healthy calories. Plan to eat light tonight as I may not be able to fit in a good workout.

I will check back with everyone the first of the month. Every other year I go on a friends’ trip and we’re leaving tomorrow morning. I’ll be gone a week. Some of these ladies I’ve known since my college days and others I met while raising young children. Most of my friends have careers in education and next week is the only window of time that works for everyone. Bad timing, as I will miss the ‘gooey guy’ by one day, but we’ll chat on the phone when he gets back in the states.

We are traveling with bicycles on the bike rack and will drive as far north as we can without entering Canada. Good people, Canadians, but I believe we’ll stop at the border this time. We’re going to a peninsula in the state of Wisconsin – Door County. Lots of Scandinavians originally settled there. If you like nature, art, music, theater and beautiful scenery, you’d love this place. Cooler weather than my state. I’ll do my best to pull off a 5:2, next week and we’ll also be hiking and biking – and walking in and out of stores! Kind regards — have a beautiful week and keep moving! JeanDee

Morning faster friends (actually that sounds strange but you know what I mean).

Have a good trip JeanDee and post some pics on facebook if you can, it’ll be nice to see some of the scenery. You’re right this is a process, some of us have alot to lose and some of us just a wee bit but it’s becoming a way of life for all of us on this thread I think which can’t be a bad thing really. Sounds like you’ll be looking forward to seeing your hubby when you return. I’ve got one of the good guys too, it’s second time around for both of us but he was worth waiting for πŸ™‚

My meal out last night was lovely and I was so full after the main course I didn’t manage a pudding. We came home early and watched a DVD and shared a bottle of wine so a good night was had by all!

How are you doing charmaine, Ken, Debby, David and everyone else I’ve missed off the list? Good grief there are so many of us now it’s hard to keep track lol! I’m getting the feeling we’re one of the most popular threads on the boards at the moment, who would have thought it a few weeks ago.

Well I’m going to get off for now a busy day ahead – dog walk, visit my parents, shopping then lunch and a look around town with my daughter, I feel tired just thinking about it lol πŸ™‚

I’ll check in later to see how we all are. x

    Morning All,

    How is everyone this morning?

Completed my 4:3, blimey yesterday was hard but thanks to you lot I managed it.

Jeandee, I agree with karen post some pics so we can have a look, it sounds beautiful and have a lovely week with your friends.

Charmain, Ken, Debby, David, Pam and everyone else, have a lovely weekend. I am off for a slap up brekkie…..and oh its gonna be sooo good!!

    A x

Enjoy your brekkie Paradise you’ve earned it! πŸ˜‰

GM all you lovely lovely people from around the world πŸ™‚
Jeannie , good luck today with your fast , and enjoy youe cake tomorrow πŸ™‚ as for weigh in days we are all different so just stick with what works for you

Pam , errrr yes i had a dram to drown my sorrows hee hee πŸ™‚

Karen , i know you had a good night and you both deserved it , yes this is a way of life , and like you say we are getting a large family but hey its great to be able to come on here everyday and see all the love and support we all have for each other , i look forward to it x πŸ™‚

Jean , it sounds lovely where you are going , and please do post some pics on FB so we can enjoy your trip along with you . I wwas only ever in Montana when i was in the Army and that was just because we all got 6 days off while i was in Canada, so we hired a car and simply drove 3 days south then back north again , we could only get as far as the first state in America , but at least i can say i have been there, πŸ™‚

Pardise , Well done you on completing 4:3 , and you enjoy your brekie

Ok i have a busy day too , it is a summer fair at church and my wife Liz) is putting on a card stall so i am helping .
will check back later bye for now
    ken x
May the calorie force be with us all

Good morning fasters, hope everyone is well this morning.

I’m up early (what’s that all about when you’re off work and can have a lie in) so taking Harvey for an early walk then dropping my daughter off at work for 9am then I’m going to prepare my Sunday lunch and lie in the sun! Had a wee bit too much rubbish and wine this weekend so going to have to go careful today or I’ll be starting from scratch again tomorrow. I need to get back into this properly or I’ll never get back to goal.

How did your stall go yesterday Ken? Hope you both had a good day at the church fair and sold plenty of cards.

Charmaine, how are you doing this weekend. We had an Indian meal last night for tea (just a ready made bought one from the local supermarket, not quite as good as homemade but nice all the same) and I thought about you as I was eating it. It was chicken tikka masala, chicken jalfrezi, naan, bhajis and samosas. That’s probably why I’m back up to last Monday’s weight this morning, I overendulged! So today just having stuffed chicken breast, new potatoes and veg for sunday tea and trying to be good the rest of the day.

Well I’d better go and take Harvey round the park and try to walk off some of last nights Indian meal! See you all later x

Hello to all!!! πŸ™‚ I didnt dare get on the scales this morning…will do so on Tuesday direct πŸ™‚

Karen…how lovely! I love cooking and Indian food of course is my speciality. That is a very good spread Karen…yum…but I know what you mean about ready to eat ones. I made lamb sheek, lamb curry and white rice…with some spiced cauliflower and potatoes on the side…the family enjoyed it…and I did too. You menu sounds yum too.

I gave my work out a 2 day break. Like Simcoeluv said…it does make you retain water and clothes feel tight…:-( vicious cycle innit?

Ok folks..will sign off for now….ciao!!

Morning all. Looking forward to your results tomorrow Charmaine, I’m sure you’re going to do great πŸ™‚

As usual I’ve put on a lb over the weekend which, considering the amount of rubbish plus wine, I’ve had is pretty good so I start the week with 3 lbs to lose to goal (a lb lighter than last Monday). Fasting today and I might do a mini-fast on Wednesday as well as my usual Thursday fast. I don’t seem to be able to manage a back to back and don’t want to do Mon/Wed/Fri as me and hubby often go out for a meal or have wine on Fridays but I can usually manage a semi-fast pretty much fine.

How’s everyone’s weekend gone? The boards were fairly quiet as usual so I guess everyone was enjoying the sun and spending time with families. I had a busy Saturday but chilled, snoozed and read yesterday so I’m ready to face my second week at work on my own. If I can get today over with quickly I’m on the downward slope to the weekend!

Well better go and finish getting ready so have a great day everyone. x

Morning everyone! Happy Monday. I hope you all had a good weekend. I didnt have a very good weekend (food wise!), felt a bit down after friday and ended up eating rubbish for 2 days πŸ™ Should have been able to control it better but I didnt. Never mind. Fast day today, so hope to partially recover some of the damage done, but would be surprised if i dont put on this week.

Ken – Thanks for the encouragement about Friday, I should have came on here over the weekend, might have helped pull me into line quicker πŸ™‚

Taletha – I have a black pug called Jett! πŸ™‚ He was my wedding present. Just under a year old, but he is great. x

Karen – Thanks for that, i went back and read the post from Simon and that could explain it, I suppose a loss is a loss! Its okay now i feel a bit better and looking back at it, would def be happy with any loss this week after the weekend… xx

Well i hope you all have a great day. And good luck to the others that are fasting today. πŸ™‚

Take care, and speak soon. Ax

    Hello everyone
Karen = dont you dare over do things trying to do back to back again , we all need you here with us for a long long time ok x πŸ™‚ you know that the 5:2 or 4:3 work perfectly and are very flexible so stick with that please xx (there 2 more kisses for you ) ha ha
Mandy = you are doing brill if you put a bit on hey just say so flipping what lol . by being with us you WILL loose all you want to but maybe not as fast as you may want to , Come on Mandy you can do this , yes you can , we are all with you x πŸ™‚
Charmaine = i look forward to your results tomoz , you are going to be fine cos the ken says so lol x πŸ™‚

Ok i have still not had my soft boiled egg , i am going to try to hold out to 11 am , just water and herby tea so far

right this one will cheer you all up , I am going to have a loose trouser parade later on today πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I have 6 pair of trousers / jeans that i have not wore for over 2 years , a couple of them i cant even get to meet at the waist , so i am trying them all on later
wish me luck and i will post my results

May the Calorie force be with us all

mandy, dont fuss put it behind you its only 3 weeks since you started this and you did alot of weight loss f 3 weeks- give yourself a break- then relax into NOT binging when you are not fasting at weekends.

    fast day f me too

ken how do you distract yourself? if you are not working? i need to get a shorter belt coz all my belts plus one are loose! i wont say what the effect was when i tried to use one of those belts on sunday!

First dayof fasting today (starting second week), feel a bit hungry but litres of green tea and water help me survive πŸ˜‰ Could someone help me and tell how much kcal is in two radishes,3 cherry tomatoes, half of red pepper and tin of tuna mixed with one spoon of light mayo, please? Thanks guys x

Hello everyone!!! Results day!!! But first let me help izka1985…hello there…some of us use this app called myfitness pal to count calories….i think it will be approx 200-250 calories…depending on the type of tuna, mayo brand and red or white raddish and the amount you ate. You can easily get the info on myfitness pal…:)

    So…where was I…yes…results day!!! I have lost…drum roll please….3.7lbs in week 1!! Yayy!! My total goal was it lose 8.8 in 4 weeks…so 5.1lbs in 3 now!!

But I totally agree with simcoeluv…exercise is making me feel the water retention a lot…I have half a mind to listen to him and totally knock out excerise until I reach a body weight that I am comfy with…then use exercise to tone up….

Yay for Charmaine πŸ™‚ you’ve done so well, proud of you, you can do the happy dance now! So far David’s grown too small for his belts, Ken’s fitting into trousers hasn’t been able to for years and you’ve lost more than average in a week, aren’t we doing well!

I lost half a lb of my weekend weight, wanted a lb but happy enough. Hopefully I’d like another half a lb knocked off last Friday’s weight but we’ll see, I think this was the weight I stuck at for 3 weeks last time πŸ™

Well better go and finish getting ready – 6 days down and 4 to go on my own at work, really fed up and tired now and looking forward to my next week off in July.x

That is amzing Charmaine! Well done you! :):) Thats a brilliant achievement in one week and another step closer to your goal. Its within grabbing distance!!:) So happy for you.

Karen – Thats still good! and as long as you are staying the same its not a gain which is a good thing too. πŸ™‚ Easier said than done though I know. Chin up πŸ™‚ xx

    Hello all πŸ™‚
well i did it i now have 6 new pairs of trousers that fit me , as most of you are on fb you already know , but for everyone else , i am delighted to be able to fit into trousers an jeans i have not wore for years , πŸ™‚
David i do lots of things , garden , car , painting , voluntry work , bit of exercise thrown in , reading ,generally all sorts to keep me busy .
Karen your a star you will not get stuck stis time round you will knock that half pound off and more besides
Its great to see your staying with us Mandy
ok i best get a move on

Good luck to Andrea for today
    catch you all later
    ken
    x

afternoon all. hope everyone is ok.

manda – jett sounds like a lovely wedding present. bet he is a lively little bundle!! we all have rubbish days but the beauty is we can climb back on that wagon and undo any damage

    Charmaine – brilliant result.

david – well done on needing the smaller belt. shows you are going in the right direction

ken – 6 new pairs of trousers to wear. “whit whoo look at you” in your fancy new pants

Karen – your name is in the thread all the way through which shows you, (like the other long term 5:2’ers) has the staying power and determination to beat those last few pounds. I think you have done great as have the others

good luck to anyone fasting today or tomorrow

    take care all x

Charmaine, I want to join your: ONE MONTH CHALLENGE!
    4 3 fasting
    lots of water
keep up xcercise twice a week
    Portion control!
only fruit and veg! my next weigh in is 4th july so it will be 4th august-well done charmaine!
I am starting a ONE MONTH CHALLENGE for myself. Here’s Please feel free to give feedback and suggestions:

    1. 4:3 fasting – 500 calories. So Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
    2. HIIT Monday to Friday. Saturday – maybe some cardio – walk, Zumba
    3. Water – as much as I can every day!
    4. I will eat regular Indian food that is prepared for my family and limit my portions to 500 calories on fast days and under goal on others.
    5. I start this at 168.6 lbs…(already am at 166lbs). Will post my weight after one month on 16 July 2014. My goal is to lose 1 kilo a week – hence 4 kilos which is 8.8lbs (already lost 2.6lbs)

They say it takes 21 days to make a habit and writing my schedule here, I’ve made myself accountable.

You can join in or cheer me on…and I of course will support each of you either ways!

tday taletha i asked my mum to make me some home made flapjacks-so i dont snack on anything else while away

sounds like a plan david. you sound very determined so I shall watch with interest as to your brilliant results to come.

home made flap jacks sound yummy

how old are you david if you don’t mind me asking?

thats the problem taletha they are so yummy-i will be reaching my 1/2 century next year taletha, looking back is all i have to do

50 is no age at all david.

they do say that 50 is the new 40 so you have it all to look forward to – definitely not back!

Good morning my fasting friends! David…welcome to join my one month challenge…happy to have company! πŸ™‚

I was not successful in my fast yesterday. So will do today and tomorrow consecutively. Fingers crossed. Wish me luck and good luck to you all!!!

50 definitely is no age David, you’re a year younger than me and I still feel as though I’ve got some life left in me!

I think I may join you in your challenge next week too charmaine if I put weight on from last week this friday. As I said on fb I’m having a hard time getting completely back on the wagon again after my holiday and I’m eating rubbish on non-fast days, so today a mini fast and tomorrow a proper one and see how I go on friday morning. I’ll keep my fingers crossed you manage your fasts today and tomorrow too.

Well better go, hope everyone does well today and stays strong.
    x

Morning everyone. Hope you all have a good day today. Not a FD for me today, but good luck to those who are, or mini fasts… depending on the damage i caused over the weekend (you wouldnt believe me if i told you all i ate.. :(:() i might try 4:3 next week. I will see what the scales say on Friday though and decide from there, as dont know i am mentally ready for that!! πŸ™‚

    Happy Wednesday!
    Take care A xx

Hello. I’m starting the 5:2 diet on Monday to coincide with hubby starting Ramadan. He’s done this for years to empathise with his Muslim colleagues. This should help me get through the first week (unless we end up at each other’s throats!). Any tips and tricks would be most welcome.

Hi doodle mom! Charmaine here. Welcome to this way of eating. Having someone close.at home join you is a biggest win…I struggle with having to cook and eat or not eat rather…when my folks sit down for meals. We practically go out everyday and snacking is a huge temptation.

Ensure you plan your meals, keep it more or less the same on fast days. Select some low or zero cal drinkslike soda water to ease those pangs. Decide of u want to split ur calories or save it for one meal. Have lots of water. Dont stress about not working out…stay active. Weigh in after ur second fast day. Once a week keeps u sane and away from day to day fluctuations.

    big good luck!! πŸ™‚

Good morning all! Hope everyone is doing ok. I did fine…i notice I cannot stay under 500..poor will power..but I dont go to high either. Now whats happening is…I eat say around 700 then decide I will fast tomorrow…then again eat 700. So mini fasts every other day…and normal days on weekends. I hope to get some discipline soon. This cant go on can it!!

Have a good day all πŸ˜€

In my second week of 5:2; I’m a secondary-school teacher and decided to join a colleague who was starting it (easier to lose weight when you have a buddy!) We are encouraged by another workmate who has done 5:2 for 18 months with brilliant results. At the end of my first week, I had lost 2.2 pounds!

This is my fourth fasting day – so far, I’ve not found them too difficult. Before beginning 5:2, I would often skip breakfast or lunch. Last week, I had tea for breakfast, a light lunch, then dinner. This week, I’m trying for a longer fast by having a light breakfast around 6:30 am, tea and water throughout the day, and dinner around 6:30-7:00 pm. Seeing which method works best for me. Summer holidays are coming up in 3 weeks, so I want to establish some healthy habits by then πŸ™‚

I need variety when I try to lose weight, so I purchased a variety of Twinings flavoured teas – I can’t drink ‘regular’ tea without milk. I have Weight Watchers meals in the freezer and WW soups in the cupboard, plus plenty of salad fixings. I’ve read on other boards about M & S Fuller Longer meals, so I might check those out.

I know with 5:2 that I should only be watching my calories on fasting days, but I’ve been using an app to log all my calories. I want this to be a lifestyle change, not a quick, short-term fix, so I’m trying to make myself more aware of what I actually eat and how much I eat. I’m seeing that before starting 5:2, I was eating much more than my body actually needed. Not much of a snacker, and I don’t have a massive sweet tooth, but my portions were causing the problems. In the nine days that I’ve been using the app, I’ve found that I’m eating under the recommended calories for weight loss. Some mild hunger, but nothing unbearable; I’m sure as I get further into 5:2, those will lessen.

So far, I’m very encouraged and feeling like I have actually found a way of eating that works for me – and will be the way I eat from now on!

Morning everyone. You and me likewise Charmaine because I tried to do a back to back yesterday to undo some of tuesdays naughty binging but in the end managed about 800-900 cals, which is still ok because it’s well under my TDEE. I think it was because I am fasting properly today so knew I didn’t need to take yesterday so seriously. I think I’m retaining water too though (that time :-()and that’s probably why I’ve been craving chocolate and rubbish all week. I know I’ll be definitely up on last weeks weight when I weigh in tomorrow so going to have to start all over again next week πŸ™

Well done Gin and welcome to our thread, you sound like you’ve got the hang of 5:2 and are doing well! I’m the opposite of you – not a huge portion fan but like to snack, especially on an evening and worse if I have a glass of wine. This has worked for me though and before I went on holiday lost around half a stone (that’s all I wanted to lose really) so I’m not trying to get firmly back on the wagon to get down to goal again.

Well only 2 days to go until the weekend and these last couple of weeks I feel like I’ve been wishing my life away until I get to the end of being on my own at work. I’ve got this all to do again in September but I’ll worry about that when I get there!

Well have a great Thursday and happy fasting today Charmaine, Ken, David, JeanDee, Andrea, Debby,Manda, Pam and anyone else I may have forgotten! x

Hi GinfromGA. I couldn’t drink black tea either! I’m a coffee drinker and struggle to drink that black. However, in my build up this week ready for Monday, I’ve found that I can drink flavoured coffees black so it’s looking good. I shouldn’t really have cow’s milk anyway so this is a good way to cut that down (cheese is harder to forgo but I’ll look out for sheep’s varieties).

    good morning all,

    welcome doodle and gin

charmaine – surely your mini fasts will help your loss? if you are eating smaller meals each day or alternate then the results will be the same. slower loss but still reduction of calorie intake over the week some diets recommend you eat around a 1000-1200 a day to lose weight. it isnt the principle of 5:2 i agree but if you are struggling at the moment then to my mind your mini fasts are the next best thing rather than give up and eat for india :))

karen – nearly at the end of the week now!! not long to go and you’ve made it in one piece (i think). i hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend and i’m sure you will have a big smile on your face on monday morning for your returning colleague.

gin – i used the my fitness pal to look at my calories and was shocked when i first did it. surprising how they add up. i was amazed at the amount of calories i did eat and i always believed i had reasonable dietary habits. nothing was particularly “bad” food but still mounted up to a larger number than i should have had in one day. you sound like you are doing great with you losses already.

manda – you are being brave tackling the 4:3 but i’m sure you can do it. good luck x

doodle – good luck to you starting out on 5:2 and to your hubby on his fasting

good morning and good luck to everyone else. i know alot of us fast on thursdays so extra good luck to us.

    take care all x

Afternoon fellow fasters – Hope your all doing well.

Fast day for me today… and the dread in the pit of my tummy has sunk in that I am due to get weighed tomorrow (after my dreadful weekend)… If i loose anything tomorrow I promise to spill all the embarrasing things I managed to scoff over the weekend! Dont know what came over me! Sitting today dreading the weigh in tomorrow in case i have put it all back on… sounds daft I know, but last few weeks havent been dreading getting weighed. Its not a great feeling..

    Anyway rant over!

Hope the calorie force is with you all today! πŸ™‚ Good luck and i will check in tomorrow.

    Take care, A xxx

Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum. Started the plan this week, fasted Monday and Wednesday. Going to do 4:3 for 2 weeks to give it a kick start. Eating so much more veg than I used to which is a bonus in itself!! I would like to lose a stone that I have put on with cancer treatment to feel like me again! Hoping the scales show some difference on Monday πŸ™‚

Welcome Sallym1! Best of luck, keep us posted with how you get on, on Monday! πŸ™‚ I am sure you will be great. take care, A xx

manda – so what if you dont lose? you will have limited any damage by doing this weeks fasting days and started to reverse the little gain (if any) of last week. dont be too hard on yourself. the beauty of this is we have some bad days (which we all do) and know that it can come off again quickly.

sally – welcome aboard. sounds like you are eating more consciously already. let us all know on monday. everyone does a fantastic job of encouraging each other through any ups (boo hiss) and downs (yippee!)

hi to everyone else. hope fasting day is going great for todays fasters.

    take care all x

Manda, I’ve had a bad week too so kind of dreading tomorrows weigh in, I know I’ll have put on because I weigh daily anyway (Fridays official day)and I’m up from this time last week. I did a mini fast yesterday and fasted properly Monday and today but Its that time of the month so Im retaining water and I can feel it sitting round my middle so I don’t think I’ll get any lighter till next week. Like taletha says don’t worry too much, we all do it and then climb back on the wagon again, start again next week.
Welcome sally and good luck in your weight loss journey, you’ll get plenty of encouragement on this thread.
Well better go out for Harveys walk πŸ™‚

I’m a coffee drinker too, Doodle Mom; a few weeks ago, I switched to unsweetened almond milk, hazelnut milk, etc. in my coffee as a way of weaning myself off of moo-milk. I don’t think I’ll be able to give up cheese and yogurt, but I figured cutting back is a good thing πŸ™‚

I’ve not been lucky in finding flavoured coffee over here in the UK (I’m an ex-pat American), but I do have some Caramel Drizzle and Pumpkin Spice that travelling friends have brought back to me when they’ve been on holiday! I might try some tomorrow without milk…

Wow, MandaM88. What a fantastic result so far. Hope I have as much success when I start next week. Having said that, I’ve lost 4lb so far in this week’s build up. Been reducing my calorie intake in prep,
