There are many recipes for meatballs, most of which require you to fry the balls then put in a sauce.
I’ve used my method for many years, avoiding frying, never seen it anywhere else?
Make your meatballs to whatever recipe you use, place them in one layer on a plate (not pressed together but they can touch lightly). You may well neeed to do this in batches.
Microwave, uncovered, on high for 3 minutes (depending on your microwave power) remove from microwave and cover with another plate.
Carefully (‘cos it’s hot) turn over, pausing to drain the water/fat over the sink. remove the first plate so the meatballs are now turned over on the clean plate, microwave, uncovered, for another 3 mins.
Done! Now add them to your sauce recipe
