Hello, my friend just turned me on to the benefits of 5:2, and I’ve just read the book. I see only benefits of adapting my lifestyle in this way, but when I read the small print it says this – 5:2 is not suitable for people with severe mental illness. I certainly have severe mental illness, but I can’t see any reasons why I wouldn’t be able to adapt to 5:2. Indeed, the fact that I take several psychiatric medications which can cause side effects leading to poor cardiac health makes me feel all the more that this system could be aa game changer.
I’d be interested if anyone has any info on why this restriction is made. Thanks very much!
