@annemarilyn – MFD is modified fasting day, if I’m not mistaken. I’d also not come across it until a few days ago. If I understand correctly, it’s used when you’re fasting but not sticking to the 500-600kcal limit that is recommended on this WOE.

    I am starving.

    Day 8 Belfast CD

The question is… why did I buy a box of yummy lollies for the freezer?
@michelinme I saw the programme. It was very enlightening. The van Tulleken brothers are doctors and twins and have done a lot of programmes on health issues where a comparison is called for, eg. Fat/sugar
@emma Taylor – what a great feeling that must have been. The latest comment for me has been ‘I hope you’re not thinking of losing much more weight. After all, when we get older we need a bit of padding! So a double whammy – I’m thin and too old now!
    @coda have a great weekend!
@Redrockgirl – this is a link to the article in the BBC web site

Good luck with your treatment @missybear

“Weight loss is like driving: If you ever veer off the road, just make a U-Turn and head back in the right direction”

    Have a good evening everyone.

    Day 8, UK, NFD

Yesterday was a good FD, ended up under 500 cal 🙂 . I think my scales are depressed because they stopped fighting 😂 . I stepped on them today and saw 52.5 kg 🙂
This tortoise is moving steadily in the right direction 🐢

I’m pressed for time at the moment to reply to all posts, but I managed to read all.

To all who are struggling, keep up, don’t give up, it will pay off one day! 🏆

Have a great day and weekend everyone 🤗

    Day 9…NSW Australia…NFD

Enjoy whatever you are getting up to and bye for now!

    Day 9 – Japan – NFD 77.5kg

40 water fasts completed in 2018 so far. Almost back on pace for 90 this year.

    Busy weekend ahead!

    Day 9 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – NFD
    Day 8 – NFD

Did not have a moment to post yesterday as looking after 2 year old granddaughter. Thanks @cornish-jane for the shout out, I had not realised a whole day had gone by!

Very busy, but such good times, we went to a family adventure par with bouncy castles, pedal boats, a fairy walk….the sun was blazing, we had a picnic…lovely day. Dropping her home early today then I must drive a few hours in the other direction to visit my Dad.

DH is bringing me out to dinner tonight as a belated birthday treat. So to be honest I expect a huge reset on Monday for sure 😄

    Have a great weekend.

    Day 9 UK CD

Early start, full day including community picnic. Posting for accountability – controlled day!

@missybear hope everything goes well with your leg procedure and wish you a speedy recovery

@cornish-jane thank you! Strange week but processing it well.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

    Day 9, Sicily, nfd

We’re going to a zip line woods where children and adults can get a harness and go from tree to tree and even cross a valley mid air. My son and niece will do that while we adults just watch and enjoy drinks. Then we consume a bbq for lunch.

This Evette are meeting some Sicilian friends and go eat a pizza.

Have a great Saturday everyone, keep on keeping on.

    Day 9 UK NFD

    Day 8 NFD

Had a fun but very busy day with my sister in Blackpool yesterday. Very tired and achey today as I did over 22,000!

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

    Day 9 London FD

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Day 9, UK, FD

Good morning everyone. I’m making a quiet and much heavier return from the most wonderful two week cruise. Thanks for hosting @basyjames.

I’m catching up on posts I missed – Belated birthday greetings @daffodil2010, @sarahbob, @at, & @diana123. Fantastic news on your brother’s progress @diana123. Did you have a recent birthday too @coda?

    Lots of inspirational weightloss stories – @CornishJane, @daffodil2010 & @fatfingers to name a few.

@daffodil2010 – I’ve just reached your post of June 5th and you’ve given me a massive boost. Maybe 9lbs gained in 2 weeks isn’t so bad afterall!!! I’m certainly enjoying Day 1 of getting back on the 5:2 train.

@rainbowsmile – your musings re smart tv have given me a great idea. I only very recently found I could play Youtube from my mobile on TV (yes, I know, technical dinosaur). Any recommendations (anyone?) for a good beginner Yoga programme on YouTube will be much appreciated.

@anna6 – congratulations to both your son and you 🙂

@neostaford – having just returned from the most fabulous cruise that took in both Split & Dubrovnik, we are already planning a return visit to Croatia. Whereabouts are you located?

@redrockgirl302 – I think I need to take you with me on our next holiday!! Congratulations on your successful maintenance whilst travelling.

@dingping – a great insight that I need to relearn. Just as I am currently experiencing the wonderful feeling of hunger – and remembering that it is not to be feared but relished. It means that within less than 24 hours of returning home, I’m already getting back on track.

@cjfrench – try flicking the mental switch and think through why you are feeling ‘snappy’. If it’s hunger, then try to embrace the feeling and use it to calm you down rather than let it wind you up.

@missybear – all the best for your leg vein treatment next week.

@Congratulations on winning the battle with your scale @shinything 🙂

Okay – 2 hours and 15 minutes later – and what did I say about a quiet return…….

    Onwards & downwards!!

    Day 9, UK, NFD

Today is going to be a nice day so I will take advantage of it and be out and about as much as I can. Hopefully I wont indulge in nice things I buy on Farmers market 🙂

@redrockgirl302 its good to have you back 🌹

@moukinator I hope you recover from your knee injury fast 🤗

@mogaman glad to hear you are enjoying your holiday 😀

@coda I was going to ask you about your hens, happy to hear Dot and Princess have company now :D, I can imagine they are such a joy to have around 😍 , plus all those super fresh eggs, so nice 😀

@cjfrench sorry to hear you lost some chiks to cats, that must have been sad 🙁

@diana123 that doesn’t sound fair, moving you from your team like that and not providing you with any help 🙁 . I hope you overcome these challenging times, hang in there 🤗

@cornish-jane I hope your mood has improved 🤗 and you are looking at those ideas on how to expand your business 🙂

@michelinme I jus love the way you post/write 🙂 , but I do hope you are in a better place, I sometimes have those out of nowhere severe down days and they are not fun at all! Day off always helps to regroup 🤗

@arelkade how funny, we are on opposite sides of the world but we are doing the same thing on the same day, I am going to a Farmers market today, not a local one though, they come from Europe for a day 😀

    @Strawberriesandcream welcome back 😀 , I hope you enjoyed your cruise 😊

Have a great weekend everyone ❤

    Day 9, Finland, NFD

Hi everyone. Managed a successful FD on thursday/friday….just have to remember with the shorter fast time the numbers aren’t as big. Finding it hard this stretch of nights, ok at work, but when I wake up I just want to eat!! Have managed to get my jogging and pilates in though which I am happy with.

So I was wondering has anyone tried Juice plus capsules. I enjoy juicing, because I don’t eat enough fruit and veg, and I feel it helps get some vitamins. But am unsure about capsules…is it a gimmick, are benefits really as good as they advertise. A work colleague has invited me onto a facebook group, but I am unsure is it just a marketing ploy. Thought and comments?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend…I have 1 night shift to go!!

Day 9 Stevensville Maryland USA CNFD

@shiny Thing thanks for the support.

Whelp it happened. They moved me out of my department yesterday, 🙁 So we will see how that goes. When I am stressed I don’t eat much, so the scale was very kind this week, down another 2 pounds. I have surpassed my goal as of yesterday and feel great in my new outfits.

I was doing some closet cleaning and it dawned on me, all of my tops and blouses need to go, they are so big as last year everyone I bought was to hide my belly. My belly hasn’t been this flat in years. So grateful for this WOL. For the first time in years I feel in control of my weight.

For those that are struggling, hang in there, this WOL really works. I do 17:7 everyday and two FD’s a week. I keep my daily calories at 1200 or less and under 500 on fast days.

In a world where you can be anything, be kind. Have a great Saturday everyone.

    Day 9 – USA – NFD

Good FD yesterday, 764 calories. I’d like to stick to 500, but some days it’s nice to have the range of 500-800 when you need it. Peeked at the scale yesterday and it was 155.6, down 2.2 lbs. since the last weigh-in. I know this is a range, because today it was 157.6, so it’s proof of the whoosh principle. As long as my range is getting lower and lower, I’m fine with it. Starting to see that I can’t afford to lose too much more in my face, as it’s getting wrinkly.

Day 9 NFD North Canton OH

I can’t believe I am having a chance to post on a Saturday, usually i sleep in late and by the time I wake up we are consumed with family activities until night time. Today was different, I had to wake early to drive my girls to take their ACTs, OH is still sleeping and rather than join him, I decided to have some me time in a quiet house – nice and not bad at all.

Sorry I missed day 8, it was an atypical day at work as my team mate and I spent the day at our satellite hospital campuses, meeting with stake holders and educating staff on the new policy we are implementing. I was so exhausted when we were done, I really felt like eating something fat and unhealthy, worse I left my water bottle in the car on a hot day and it was so warm I could not drink it. So I stopped at a dollar store and bought some gum and headed home. I am so thankful for this WOL, because I would not have done that a year ago.

So I did not meet my goal this week as i had hoped, I am still 2 pounds away, but my body fat percentage is down 2 points, which is probably why my clothes fit so well. I usually use my dual screen to respond to posts so can’t do that today, but I wish you all the best this weekend and will see you all on Monday.

Welcome back for your cruise @Strawberriesandcream, I bet it was awesome. It’s good to have you back 🙂

Day 9, London, UK, NFD (but controlled)

Lovely evening out last night at Rick Steins in Barnes, only 2 courses, but the slices of warm sourdough and walnut bread were too hard to resist!!!! We shared 1 bottle of wine with dinner then back to the hotel for another 3/4 bottle………. I really am such a lush!!! I’ve been doing well for the last couple of months ……. social drinking only!!!

@missybear, I hope the leg surgery goes well next week and your recovery is quick & painless!!.

Looking forward to a bowl of soup, a nap then a relaxing evening in front of the telly, I’m too old for boozy nights out!! …………….. I WILL slip a 30 Day shred in there somewhere too!!

    Day 9 USA (Illinois) NFD

Will need extra strength today and tomorrow with many social obligations. Company overnight with grilling teriyaki pork steaks tonight, wine-tasting party with my PEO and a graduation party tomorrow. I’m thinking today will be a OMAD and have to be judicious tomorrow.

Maintenance, the name of my game.

    Onward and downward.

Day 9 – SW WA USA – NFD

Hoping to make this a mindful NFD as I also head to the Farmers’ Market soon along with @shinything & @arelkade. Looking forward to the $1 cup of coffee and getting some yummy hazelnuts and maybe some fresh flowers…

Welcome back @strawberriesandcream. Your cruise weight will be off in no time. You’ve got this.

@metatauta – hooray for another couple of pounds down!

    Enjoy the weekend!

    Day 9, Cornwall UK, NFD

@strawberriesandcream – i like keno yoga on utube. From beginners to more advanced. She’s VERY bendy!

Ate a lot of sourdough today. No control whatsoever. Probably stressed as i have to attend a social function tomorrow and i really don’t want to go. Brings out the rebellious teenager in me. 😠

    Day 9 UK second post

My CD had just a little control in it. I said no to cake & biscuits at two different gatherings and ate fruit, salad and too much bread then crackers & mozzarella with a little low cal salad cream. First crackers in ages – someone had slipped them into my bag – but for the first time in forever only ate 1/2 pkt which is 240 calories.

Made a (healthy) chocolate cake for tomorrow’s community celebration (bc I’d run out of lemons for lemon drizzle) & cobbled together a glaze from cacao & elderflower with a little coconut sugar.

I feel stuffed after all the carbs, not tempted to eat the rest of the crackers or any of the cake. Is that a controlled day?!

@shinything thank you, definitely better after processing things x

Day 9, Rocky Mountains, US, NFD

@debster251: Thank you for the link! 🌻
    @strawberriesandcream: Welcome back!🌷
@shinything: Thanks! It is good to be back!!🌼

    Have a great weekend everybody!😊🦋💐

    Day 10 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – NFD

Checking in for accountability but I have been grazing for the past few days. 4 days off work, sun is shining, hot temperatures in Ireland, so a lot of outdoor activities.

@kerryn73 A good few years ago I was enticed into the JuicePlus world by a work colleague who had set up as a distributor. Put it this way, I ended up spending a fixed monthly sum on hordes of capsules, so many marketing emails, and I honestly did not feel any health benefits. It took a while to disentangle myself from JuicePlus. So be careful. Honestly…..nothing can beat the real thing, fresh and natural food…no man made intervention, no capsules.

    Have a good Sunday everyone

    Day 9, UK, NFD

Nearer 1200 cals yesterday, so not an FD, but a successful OMAD which I shall repeat today and for the rest of the week, aiming for at least 2 proper FDs. Lost 3lbs of water weight following holiday, so the real damage looks more like 5lbs. However, as I was already 7lbs above goal before we went, I am resuming my 5:2 journey with an initial 12lbs to eradicate. Whilst I am not happy to carry the extra lbs, this time I’m really not worried at all because I know for fact that this WOE works. I’m actually enjoying the challenge – especially as we have a photoshoot booked on Friday (a present that needs to be used by this deadline). I hope the photographer is up to speed with photoshop!!!

    Thank you for the warm welcome back @annemarilyn, @basyjames, @shinything & @redrockgirl302 🙂

Thanks for the yoga recommendation @cornish-jane – as soon as OH has finished watching Andrew Marr, I’ll take a look.

The sun came out yesterday after all and it’s a glorious day today, so more gardening at the top of today’s agenda. Got to keep the tan topped up for Friday…..

    Onwards & downwards.

    2nd post – I meant Day 10, UK NFD!

    Day 10, London, UK, NFD,

Welcome back @strawberriesandcream, I too aspire to @redrockgirl302‘s holiday food disipline, however, I’m in your camp and can expect a gain in the 2 weeks I’ll be in Cyprus in July!!! (+10lbs last year!!!) Anyway, with this WOL, easy-on, easy-off, so the plan is to be mindful, not restrictive, careful, not deprived and keep an eye on the vino, but not totally abstain ………. it is a holiday after-all!!!!

Unlike last weekend, this one has already seen a gain, but I think I’m having (TMI alert) ‘in-transit’ issues, water retention and muscle repair!! Anyway, the inches are reducing, clothes are looser, I’m so much fitter and I AM staying faithful to this WOL!!!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!!!

    Day 10 London NFD
Just back from a week in Menorca. Never been before. What a contrast to London!!! There were almost no cars on the road. It was lovely, very green, Menorcans very friendly. Just incredibly quiet. Maybe a bit different in the school holidays.
We made lots of salads and generally ate well, but got massively carried away with some nuts and can feel, and see, the outcome of that EFS. But, no panic. Just get back to fasting, and trust myself, and this WOL to reset and continue improving my health. Very nice not to berate myself for putting a few pounds back on. It’s an ongoing process. It’s not a disaster…
    H

Hi @rainbowsmile – not sure who coined it on here but I’m pretty sure EFS stands for epic face stuffing. We struggled to get fresh food on Menorca – lots of messed about tourist food, so even roast chicken had a weird added sauce which didn’t really improve it. So, we bought loads of lovely nuts and scoffed ‘em. Hey ho. Nuts can’t really be bad, right? Just a bit (!!!!) calorific.

I have no idea my post disappeared when I try to repost it says you already said that!

Day 10, Guildford UK, CFD 1200
Day 9, Guildford UK, MFD 800

College yesterday studied hard, very tired indeed.

Will study today too, exam Wed pm.

@emma Taylor not sure what an EFS is but I want to try one if it has nuts in it.

@diana123 do you Ebay your clothes? Those of mine which aren’t wornot out get Ebay selling as it puts precious money in the coffers for new gear.

@michelinme healthy and chocolate cake, never would have put those together in a sentence. So I am fascinated.

@flourbaby love you to pieces ok? But if I go away thinking I will gain, then I do for sure. I think go away knowing that the additional exercise, sun and wise but delicious choices will at minimum leave me the same or less then the result is different. Might those thoughts work for you too? Or you can preplan for 2lbs down before you go and stay the same at the end of the month? But of course gaining and losing is part of this WOL and it’s a choice holiday treating or not.

Extra romance assists too, evening sunset walks instead of extra wine…….
Ahhhh those were the days (wistful smile)

    @cornish-jane is bread your weakness?

@daffodil2010 thanks for the warning on the juicing thing I had pondered a shortcut, @kerryn73 I do juicing but veg juice and I use the Jason Vale methodology.

For newbies to juicing and smoothing (smoothies are different they have fibre in them) some veg don’t smooth well and of course avocados don”t juice only smooth. Never try juicing or smoothing tomatoes unless you want to redecorate your kitchen red and break your equipment!

I dropped protein powder as a protein source in my smoothies to see if it helped with Hunger pangs. It didn’t so I put it back, I buy from Amazon and I buy good quality without the ‘bulking agents’ cold filtered whey.

I get enough juice from 2 heads celery, 1 cucumber, 4 carrots, 2 apples, ginger and I add cinnamon too, to make 3 days of juice for fasting and it costs about 70p per glass. You can also use cabbage, beetroot and kale (even dandelion leaves, that’s why I grow them). I buy end of day veg from the supermarket and add whatever I can get, rocket, lettuce, bean sprouts, plums, pears and have also used 2 drops of Vanilla essence which adds a sweet taste without sugar. I also add tinned global artichokes which I buy in bulk from costa. My first juicer was a basics asda one at £23 (to start with) in case it was a fad for me, but it’s not so I bought a new upgrade juicer whose attachments dishwash. I dont even peel these days, I am just a scrubber.

@missybear my prayers for your op and a speedy recovery.

On the cheeeeeese muffin top from hell front, signed up for a free 10 day trial on Les Mills on Demand as it’s £95 less 20% discount special offer for a year through a discount site. But a single month is £10 so that might work for those in holiday mode away from home?

Discovered (after some cursing) I could get Chromecast to work on dad’s old non-smart TV and the ipad app for the Les Mills has Chromecast built into the app so no staring at a 9 inch tablet. I can stare at a 32 inch TV instead. From tablet to TV for £22 with a second hand Chromecast! No new TV needed. All I need now is an arm so I can fix the TV to the wall, having it off the floor will also be helpful too. Its sort of awkward lifting weights and watching a TV placed on the floor. Skips and jumps for joy. I am going for it now…….

I use the bodybuilder.com app which is great and free but it’s more geared to weight lifters, not lean and meaners and the programs are good. The couple of programmes I did, hadn’t full length video workouts, more written programs with video support on individual moves and logging, but it’s free has apps and it works. I love body pump too and that is Les Mills so it’s new trick time. None of it replaces a fitbit, I am deeply committed to my fitbit linked to my fitness pal for sleep and steps.

None of that yoga bendy stuff for me I am sure my body doesn’t contort like everyone else’s!

With a little cunning and some big girl knickers got back into a lovely designer summer dress yesterday. Must not breathe out, must not breathe out, must not breathe out……

I am having a thin girl day today with bad hair. Day before yesterday was a fat girl day with curlie girl hair. It may come together one day.

    Day 19 Canada NFD

Didn’t get to post yesterday but having a busy weekend. The eating has been grab and go so not really as focussed as I would have liked. Looking forward to a good FD tomorrow to settle this down.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

    Day 10…….Florida….CD

Sorry that I did not get a chance to post yesterday. I had a plan for one thing then it got turned into something total different. My SIL has a home a couple doors down from us. This is a place she only comes down a handle I’d time throughout the year. Well, she was down with her daughter and we thought they had a couple more days in town but then we learned they were leaving this morning. So, my husband decide to take the day off and we spent the entire day with them yesterday. We took them into tourist land which is south of us about and hours drive, took them to a huge flea market, to some little tourist shopping plaza, to the beach and finally ending up in Tarpon Springs which is a little Greek Village and a sea sponge hub. Had the best Greek food in that area…. then finally making it home dog tired, and exhausted. But we had such a good time, walking, laughing, getting to much sun!
So a impromptu day turned into tons of fun.
Today, will be relaxing at home, nursing our sun soaked skin, rehydrating our bodies and of course getting my filthy house in order for next weeks life as adults. Which will be a very long week for me as I will work 6 days straight!
To top it all of everyone will be home….. including my busy body OH who has already been to Mass this morning and the grocery store! Damn I wish I had his energy!

Hope fully when I get all my chores done, I’ll be able to get back on and catch up with everyone’s posts!

Japanese legend says…..if you are not sleeping at night it is because you are awake!

    Day 10 UK NFD

I’ve been out for a cavery for lunch and I am stuffed and could easily go for a nap. At least I had a long walk there and back so at least I’ve got my steps in for the day.

Planning on 3 fast days next week as I have my night out for my birthday (few weeks late but got friends traveling up for the night)on Saturday.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday.

Day 10 Stevensville Maryland USA CNFD

@rainbowsmile I donate them to a shelter here on the island. Not much time to spend here today going shopping for my 93 year old MIL. She lives with us and has given me quite the list.

In a world where you can be anything, be kind. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Day 10, Rocky Mountains, US, NFD

A dry cold front came through and we are off hiking with the dog. It is too hot for the beginning of June, the plants do not like it nor the pets. So we take advantage of a cooler day. On Tuesday we will be back in the 30 degree Celsius range. Later we will grill in the backyard. A nice, relaxing Sunday!😊

    Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!🌷🌼🌻

    Day 10 UK CD

After yesterday turned into more of a Carb Day than a Controlled Day, I thought I’d try again today. Well, I forgot to take food with me this morning and waited til I got home. This included resisting the many cakes on offer – including my own which a number of people came over and recommended to me. Clearly you couldn’t taste the improvisation 🙂

Popped into the supermarket for the forgotten lemons but they’d sold out so I came away with a melon, tangerines, apples and bananas instead. Going to treat myself to a bit more fruit rather than icecream, beginning with fruit salad made with elderflower cordial.

Feeling good today despite another late night and accrued lack of sleep – only 11 in the last 2 nights and I’m an 8-hours-a-night-minimum kinda woman. Paying back today with quiet afternoon at home, gentle prep for the week ahead & a wonderfully early night.

Yesterday was always going to be full with an early morning community gathering then picnic, transport issues getting home, squeezing in cake-research & -baking and getting up & out again today. But also fitted around an unexpected 2hr skype meeting and 60 min write-up bc I’ve been invited to do a bit of scoping work on a national-level project which is a bit of a stretch but right up my street. Impulsively offered to do it as a pro bono for expenses only – partly to build up my portfolio for this type of project but also bc I’m not geared up for this, and don’t want to be doing my learning out loud with people questioning why was I invited rather than them, or instead of someone else. It feels like a good enough decision in rather risky circs

I so enjoy reading stories of holidays, days out, work, meals and daily life. I often find myself nodding along, wishing you well with troubles or laughing out loud with triumphs. Thank you for sharing experiences and lives along the journey.

@rainbowsmile Great post! Loved your juice guide, fitness experience and tv triumph which have all inspired me no end. While I’m very much an adapted yoga person I’ll definitely be revisiting smoothing now – I’m a whole-food person!

Healthy chocolate cake was low carb/high protein ratio, vegetarian, free from gluten, dairy, wheat, added sugar. Made with 6 eggs, coconut flour, coconut oil, raw cacao, almond milk, 2tbsp honey, vanilla, gf baking powder, salt and elderflower cordial & an icing from coconut oil, cacao, almond milk & elderflower cordial. No lemon and wanted to keep the calories down, otherwise I’d have made something with ground almonds 🙂

OK, I’m off to drink lots of water then tidy up that last 2m of hedge. Aiming to have tomorrow’s clothes laid out, notes for the day and bed by 9pm – and already imagining the relief as my head hits the pillow 🙂

    Day 10 USA (Illinois) NFD

We’re having a rainy spell here for a few days, so rather depressing. Busy with activities, though, so being with people will keep me hopping.

Did a OMAD yesterday with some appetizers, imbibing, and good food, but only about 1000 calories.

    Onward and downward.

    Day 10 Belfast NFD

I’ve got to Sunday with the scales reading the same as they did on Friday, which is an achievement.

@anna 6 your zip line sounds amazing. I think I’d be up there with the kids!
Good to see you back @Strawberriesandcream. You’ll soon despatch those excess pounds. We have stayed in both Split and Dubrovnik and just love the country.

It was quite a grey day here today; we haven’t had any significant rain here for a long time, which is unusual, so I took the opportunity of doing some gardening and helping OH paint the fence. Another tick on the ‘to do’ list. Now to settle down to a sensible dinner and the first of the new series of Poldark. Nothing like a bit of eye candy!

Remember : even if you only lose 1/2 lb a week that will give a great total of 26 lbs in a year.

    Day 10, Gozo, Malta, nfd

Debster251 I’m a little afraid of heights and I’m not that agile to zip line from tree to tree. Alas! But I wish I could see you do it.

    Strawberriesandcream thanks.

We’re back from Sicily this afternoon after a calm and lovely trip on the catamaran. I want to do a B2B2B from tomorrow. I seriously need to lose weight and be careful because on the 29 June we’re going again on holiday for a week to Sicily. We’re staying three nights in Taormina. My second daughter, her husband and two girls are coming with us. Then in August we’re going for a cruise. I tend to overeat while on holidays as I don’t count calories although this holiday I just had on most mornings I only had coffee with semi skimmed milk. I’d like to lose weight before the cruise to be on target if I can.

Have a great evening/night everyone, onwards and downwards.

    Day 10, UK, NFD

Its been a calm but active day, went for a nice walk by the canal and fed one duck family some bread 🙂 . I keep meaning to mention it, @michelinme I tried your recipe, yoghurt, honey and raw cocoa and I love it, keep having it 😀 . Today, I added a banana to the mix, and its delicious, but took me over my TDEE 😖 .
    Glad tomorrow is a FD!

Hope all of you wonderful people have a great weekend 🌼

Day 10 – SW WA USA – NFD

A cloudy Sunday here, but we’ve been needing rain so it’s all good. After a church, a few of us enjoyed a meal together; That’s the good part of NFDs enjoying friend time over food, Will be ready for more fasting tomorrow. I’ve been trying for LFDs Mondays & Thursday with Tues & Fri with about 500 cal food; then Wed, Sat & Sun are NFDs. Last week got rid of most of my recent feasting during ocean getaways 2 weekends in a row.

    @sarahbob – what’s a “cavery”? A place to eat in a cave?

@debster251 – thanks for the reminder that even 1/2 lb a week makes a difference in the long run

@rainbowsmile – you made me smile with you fat girl, thin girl & hair days comment. Shows your sense of humour; a great ingredient on life’s journey.

Only 6 days left until official retirement. Hopefully that’ll relieve a lot of stress. Stress may be a big part of why I’ve been on a plateau for so long. With the amount of fasting I’ve been doing, there should have been more results. A couple of weeks ago I experienced about 2 hours of strong chest pain on the left side; trying to breathe deeply wasn’t possible as it increased the pain. I’m having things checked out. The nurse practitioner thinks it’s probably stress related but ran some tests with more to come. She pressed below my sternum and I winced; possibly the beginning of an ulcer she says. She called in two prescriptions one for blood pressure (unusually high on the visit) and one for the gastrointestinal potential issue. I’m not a meds person! But it’s been a very rough year especially with administration at one of my two buildings in which I teach (the reason I chose to retire this year). Didn’t know if I should share but… would appreciate prayers.

It’s good to be on the journey with you folks!

    2nd post

@annemarylin unfortunately I made a typo and it should have said ‘carvery’ lol

I had a delicious roast dinner yum yum yum 😁

NFD today. Stayed the same weight. After vacation and eating out with family, was glad to see no gains. Will be starting exercising program that we have here and hoping that will help move the weight down a bit more.
@annemarilyn good luck on your upcoming retirement. My work was stressful and probably caused my ulcer. I think finally it’s healed. Stress is a bummer.
Hope everyone has a great week.

    Day 11 – Japan – FD 82.9kg

Weight is up, but no workouts for two days and a lot of eating this weekend. Today a typhoon is causing so much rain that I can’t really workout outside. Maybe I could do planks and so forth inside. No fun.

    Day 11…NSW Australia…CD
    (12.45pm Monday)

    Good afternoon/morning everyone!
Finally getting back into balance with this WOE. Was a bit lazy for a few weeks after a wonderful holiday away! So glad 5:2 is so flexible and forgiving!

@strawberries – my suggestion for you-tube yoga is ‘Wai Lana Yoga’ – Wai Lana being the instructors name. She has many levels – I enjoyed ‘Beginners Workout’, so much I’ve bought the DVD!

Looking forward to catching up with all your informative and interesting posts.

Enjoy whatever you are getting up to and bye for now!

    Day 11, Cornwall UK, FD

Another fast day today and hoping for more progress this week.

I attended my unwanted social event yesterday and its over now. It was stressing me out big time and yes @rainbowsmile i have a weakness for nice bread! I realise now why I was eating so much of it.

Its lovely and warm today and i have lots of orders to dispatch so a good start to the week.

@annemarilyn – best wishes for your medical issues and hope they resolve soon🌻

Pocket list for Monday – lets get fasting everyone!
    @cornish-jane

    Day 11 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – FD

Reset, reset, reset. Fish and chips from the chipper last night! Very naughty…but so nice.

I feel a tad bloated this morning so lots of water, green tea on the agenda. Will try for either liquid only or OMAD today.

@annemarilyn I am thinking of you, hopefully the medical issues can be resolved and the stress goes away.

Pocket list for Monday – lets get fasting everyone!
