I was wondering if anyone here has IBS, this diet cured it, stopped the diet whenever they’ve lost their desired amount of weight and started to eat regular again, if their symptoms came back, or if it’s actually cured.

My IBS still props up when I sin too much. In my case IBS is triggered by fatty food using cheap oil and IBS causes varies from person to person. That said it does occur a lot less (perhaps I am eating healthier in general).
Note that the fast diet is a way of life and not just a weight-loss program. It is recommended to keep doing it for health benefits. You can do a 1 day fast per week instead or eat 800-1000 kcal per day instead of 500 kcal when you have reached your target weight.
I found the Monash FODMAP app on the mobile really nmade a difference when I followed the guide as to what and exactly how much of different foods to eat….life changing.
I too find it very hard to lose weight and am starting to think it is definitely related to the IBS…I now also use mintec caps (mint oil) before I eat and also Iberogast drops in water before I eat too.
When i do these things and don’t try to eat outside those guidelines I am fine now.
Good luck!
