There is a lag between the scales showing a weight loss and the body shrinking. Having said that skin loses its elasticity with age and/or if a huge amount of weight is lost, so there is no guarantee that it will shrink.
Exercise that tones the muscles will make a difference as will ensuring that your skin is in good condition.
I lost a lot of fat in a hurry (maybe 10 pounds per month over a year) and so I laughed and nodded at the concept of being a flying squirrel. If I had to go back and do it again knowing what I know now, I would have tried wearing a compression shirt or waist band and compression underwear on a daily basis. But what do we do now right?
My thoughts:
1) The fat may not be done… start or increase some strength and/or HIIT training. If a gym is not readily at your disposal and you don’t have the space or money for a lot of home equipment, at least add in a home HIIT work out or jump on a bike and do some fast/slow/fast (ie: HIIT) workouts. A home eliptical or row machine (get the fan or hydro types, not the magnetic or hydraulic machines). Kettlebells are great for strength training. Here are some inexpensive good options from my observation…

2) Get an adjustable waist band you can comfortably wear throughout the day or compression clothing. Don’t forget you will likely need to switch it out frequently due to sweating so if you can find some of these on the cheap, let me know.
3) Epsom Salt Baths?
4) Skin Tightening Creams?
5) Fish Oil Supplements?
6) Time and Patience?
As you can see, I am more versed in the exercise side of this topic so if anyone has any tricks to add, this topic has too many “try this, try that” to narrow down some simple recommendations… but I did my best.
