So I’m going to give this a go! I have 6.5 stone to lose. I’ve planned my first fast day for tomorrow and feeling quite positive….

Tip 5:2 isn’t fast. It’s about the fasting. A fast day is 36 hours see the FAQ.
1. Calculate your TDEE and stay within it on non fast days. Eat only 1/4 (25%) of your TDEE on fast days.
2. Recalcuate your TDEE every time you drop weight or
2a. Calcuate your TDEE for what you should weigh for your height and age with your activity level set to sedentary. Eat within that TDEE as in 1 above.
3. Drink a lot of water. At least 4-5 litres more than you normally do when you are fasting. Water is your best companion when fasting.
Stick with it and you will be amazed at the new you a year from now.
