  • Ginette….I did laugh…leftover wine!! Who has left over wine not me or Hemmy. 😀

Clarkey…glad you had a good first fast day….drink more water you may be dehydrated…it helps with
headaches. I don’t sleep at night so well on a FD but no headaches..still we have to put up with it. Is your hubby joining you?

    X

    Clarkey

Try upping your salt intake. I usually find an oxo cube at lunchtime sorts my headache out…

    Hope this helps…

Back from shopping now got some new walking shoes…

Mums leg is not mending well so we have seen the Dr for a blood test to test her sugar level…. got some betnovate for her bad skin….

    Audrey

Lolol Gine isn’t it funny how Sym and I have never heard of ” left over wine”.

I just love your links G keep them coming. Xx

Clarkey I also suffered from headaches when I first started. Never had them before. Lots of water and more. Well done on your day. Xx

Winnie how is it going with you. Xx

    KT you OK . Xx

    Sym

I have swopped 2 pieces of toast and a mandarin for a funsize banana ..mandarin… I lrg Aldi plum . All sliced on a tea plate…looks a lot. It seems to have been working well. I am trying to think of that diet that Linda Robson did a video. Not mixing carbs with protein… and not eating anything but fruit till lunch time. Maybe Gine knows. It does make sense as that roughage should push everything through your system. Not sure about the carbs and protein not mixing though. Lolol Sorry if you are having your lunch. Xxxx

    Hi Clarkey

Yes as Jean says up salt intake and drink plenty. It will be easier. Lots of people have an oxo cube in hot water but I’m pretty sure there is not a big call for them where you are.

Well done for making it through.

    Hi Jean

Yes I smiled as I wrote that. But I have seen the bottom of bottles thrown away and I have used it to cook with in the past but as I don’t drink the rest it is a waste. I haven’t got that many ice cube trays or room in the freezer to put a whole bottle. I’m sure you will never have that problem. 🙂

    Hi Audrey

I see I have given the same advice as you. I’m glad that you have got some walking shoes, break them in well before you go on another of your mammoth walks.

    Hi Hemmy

I didn’t think you would have left overs but just in case…. The eating fruit at breakfast and not mixing foods is about something called food combining. I shall see what I can find on it.

    Ginette

My auntie has called in to see me…. she has told me to try taking apple cider vinegar with honey, have looked on Web it is supposed to be good for all sorts of ailments and helps weight loss.

They sell a combination of them both at holland and Barrett am going to give it a whirl will report back to you all….if it helps with my arthritis and constipation it will be worth its weight in gold let alone weight loss….

Hope you are all having a good day

Off home tomorrow thank goodness I need the rest…. have cleaned the carpet again with a new belt on…. started cleaning it last night to discover the belt had snapped…. I mended it myself girl power yeah….

    Audrey

Audrey….apple cider and honey…I have a in law who swears by it for everything…I have never tasted anything like it..horrible…still give it a go. I did make the combination myself!!

Maybe buying it already made may be better…let me know how you go..

    Safe journey back tomorrow.
    X

Hehe jean…..you make it sound so appetising. ….

Will let you know, I hate taking pain killers so I will try ANYTHING to help my arthritis and spondylitis. ….

    Aud

That’s what I thought for my arthritis!! See what you think maybe you are braver than me!

    Lol
    X

    Hi Audrey

I’m glad you have got the belt sorted. Yes we can mend things. Good job to, if I waited for a man it would take a while…..

Yes I think I have tasted apple cider vinegar. Yuk… Buty a small bottle in case you don’t take to it. Yes I know it’s meant to be really good for certain things but too grim for me.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin is good for arthritis as a friend in France takes it and I often take some to her. I just take a numark laxative for constipation as this does the job quickly and not too violently. £1.50 a packet at my local chemist.

    Hemmy

Here are some facts on food combining. It shows which foods you shouldn’t combine. It gets a bit complicated but the fruit for breakfast is very easy. Although with me it would be about lunch time.

    http://www.marilu.com/wp-content/uploads/downloadables/foodchart.pdf

Off to take a couple of bags into my local community centre. They sell things to keep the centre going. As long as it helps somebody. I just hate throwing things out.

Up at Pams later so I’ll look in when I come back.

Weather is lovely, sun is shining here. I hope you all have sunshine as well.

    Ginette

I put ACV in our smoothies…masks the taste😜

    hi
well done hemmy, that is a great loss

I am on fd today, and its been ok, although I didn’t really enjoy my sardine and salad – the sardines seemed rather tasteless

I have just been reading another thread https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/high-blood-pressure-caused-by-52/page/2/

    this is somewhat worrying
have any of you found your blood pressure getting worse on this WOL?

I am seeing dr tmro so may ask him to check it – I will be gutted if it affects me like that, as I have so much weight to lose

Ginette I don’t know about the fbd
I had intended to try it, but now I am panicking
if my bp is ok, then I might do it

    Keeptrying

Don’t panic, my blood pressure hasn’t changed at all and I have been doing 52 for 12 months and get tested pretty regularly. …

    Have a good fast day….

Hemmy did I say WOW FANTASTIC LOSS….. if not sorry and WOW FANTASTIC LOSS. ..

    Audrey

Stuarts BP started to lower as soon as he lost weight, he put it on and BP is up again.

    thanks to both
yes celtic – that is what I would expect – although mine wasn’t high, it had gone up a bit since being so fat

I was also confused because some of the people on that BP thread – suggested needing to drink more fluids to lower bp
but when I have been in hospital and my bp was too low they told me to drink more – and I had iv fluids
    gp said the same
    ??????????????????????

Don’t worry about it KT ask your Dr to check it just to put your mind at ease otherwise it will be up!!!

Sat with mum having a BIG glass of port I have refused all week but tonight she insisted by saying I Got it in special for you….. mums! By the time I finish it will be tiddly. ….

    Night all

    Audrey

oh Audrey, now some port would be lovely – enjoy!!

tbh I am more worried about my throat at the moment
I have been having problems for ages – in fact they began just a few days after I began the fd and have got worse
not helped by me being a total neurotic!

    Hi Celtic

Thats a good idea. I still don’t think a will try it again. Do you find it helps you?

    Hi KT

I have to agree with all here about BP. It definetly has helped mine to go down. I have lost a fair bit of weight but have a lot more to lose. I am hoping that eventually I can reduce the tablets. When mine goes up it is often stress related. I don’t think the throat can be connected in any way. It must be coincidence. It is just as well to get things checked of they are worrying you. If only to put your mind at rest.

Well done on doing the fast day. One of my new favourites on a fast day is Aldis chicken salad with mango sauce. Sounds strange but it is really tasty. Only 108 calories as well.

    Audrey

I hope you enjoyed the port….and went merrily to bed…..

    Ginette

    Morning all

I am up and dressed, just sat with mum watching the news…

It’s fish n chips for tea and a weigh in tomorrow. …..I will post my results but I did have cream cake and port yesterday so not expecting a loss…

When are you starting the FBD? I may join you in avoiding sweets and biscuits and all refined sugar will wait and see…

Good luck for today will post tomorrow am off home this evening

    Audrey

Good morning friends hope all is well with you and yours.

An early start with dental check up appointment before walking.

Really noticing now since cutting the carbs … I am not at all really hungry. No cravings. Seems almost too good to be true.

Maybe this is what people have been saying about the sugar cravings. ..

Yesterday non fast … fruit for breakfast … really wanted an omelette for lunch .. then just a bowl of soup for dinner. It turned out almost better than an FD. Lol

Is it a flute I ask myself. Or does it all boil down to these carbs. Also.. seem to have more energy … Well who knows and time will tell I am sure.

Oh and feel happy … light. Thought I would just share that with you. Give it a go just cut manmade carbs for breakfast to start. See how you go. Will be interesting.

    Safe travel home Aud. Xx

Hope everyone is OK … Gine.. Aud…Sym.. Karen..CC.. KT…Coffee…Clarkey…Winnie. and all in our little corner. Xx

    Take care Brit Lovelies…

“It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves. “ Xx

    Morning Brits,

Hope everyone is well this beautiful sunny morning.

We are out for lunch today with friends…I said to hubby don’t book Monday or Thursday ..so we are going two days before weigh in !..

Panic don’t know what to have! It will be lovely as catch up with our caravan friends who we don’t see too often ( a two hour drive so we meet in the middle).

I am doing my 10,000 steps, (6000 before this week) eating under TDEE, cut potatoes and bread down to a couple of portions a week, changing our menus big time…and still on a plateau…a pound up then maybe keeping the same…although it is about 2 oz which is going up and down! Right on the pound changeover!

Hemmy you may be right although I have changed to different breakfasts, they are man made, is fruit or eggs the answer..not a lot of fruit about at the moment…maybe frozen? or mixed, frozen and fresh?

If my book arrives today..I would like to see some secret tips it may hold.

I feel at my wits end as I don’t know what else to do..I am positive I will keep going and if I can loose 2 lbs after a few weeks going maybe I have to expect that…at least I am not going up!

Sorry for my moan…just how I am feeling.

    Safe travels Audrey. Speak later…

    Jean

    Hi Audrey

Hopefully you will have stayed the same. It seems that we are starting Monday. I know that I have things on my shopping list that won’t fit into FBD. This arrives tomorrow evening.

    Have a good journey home.

    Hi Hemmy

What you are doing really seems to be working for you. I will look around for more fruit and I mush go and get sone rhubarb next week. At the moment I am sure that I will suffer withdrawal symptoms from carbs. That is refined carbs the worst kind and the type that will not be allowed on FBD.

Funeral today and then a meal with the friend who’s dad died and her daughter on Friday. I am looking forward to this. It is a carvery at a place I have never been to before. I used to teach the daughter whose birthday it is. She is about 43 I think. Something nice for her to look forward to today.

I washed my hair yesterday afternoon and it often has a mind of its own and I wake up looking like Ken Dodd. (Hair anyway) Pam gave me a tip of going to bed with a pair of knockers on my head. As silly as this sounds I did this although they were a bit big for my head. Verdict knickers came off in my sleep and hair still like Ken Dodd. Off to wash it again in a minute…..

    Hi Jean

Yes not much fruit around at the moment. I have avoided a meal out as it was on fast day this week. The end of the week I am changing to Thursday and Saturday as today (normally fast a day for me) I have the funeral and the wake.

My friend meets up with her caravan friends as well. They live in Exeter she lives in Portsmouth so they often meet in the middle. They are all on holiday together in Portugal at the moment, they are there for six weeks in a villa one of them has every year. I normally see her every two weeks and this is what really led me to keeping busy whilst she us away. That and another friend who was nursing her Dad and the auntie only wanting family there. So at least I have been doing something positive.

I hope your book arrives. If it’s any consolation I was feeling this last year when I started. When I started seeing the weight come off I soon perked up though. I know the first week will be difficult that is why it is nice to do it together. We can moan to one another.

See you all later. Off to get ready now….well after another cup of tea.

    Ginette

    Hi everyone
Just been weighed and another lb down so feeling happpy about that.

Ginette, thanks for the link to FBD, think I may need to get the book if theres anything in it realating to Veggies. I know Symba is going to have a look when her book arrives… thanks Jean.

CC, thanks for the great tips about reheating pasta and potato to cut down on calories. Wonder if it also applies to rice and if ‘frozen mash’ has already done the hard work for us?

Well done Hemmy, fantastic weight loss. I can remember following the ‘Fit For Life’ diet, which is food combination, a number of years ago. It actually worked well for weight loss but was a real pain to fit into everyday life.
Well done Clarkey on surviving your first fast day 🙂 Good advice has already been given about the headaches, and they do clear up quite quickly. Stick with it.
Hope you’re feeling better today KT and that the doctor sets your mind at rest. You’re doing so well so keep your chin up.
Audrey I think initially I may follow you and just give up the refined sugar for the FBD. I don’t think I eat a lot anyway but am probably totally wrong if I check things out properly!
Hearing you all talk about how many steps you are doing puts me on a real downer. I bought one of those watch things a while ago and put it away when I found my ‘steps’ were in the low hundreds (!!!) Think I’ll have to get it out again and make a determined effort to move more.
    Take care all, speak soon.

    Afternoon everyone 🙂

Oh Ginette there was a typo on your post so I’ve been having a giggle picturing you going to bed with knockers on your head !! 😀

Coffee..well done on your loss ★

    Jean..hope you’re having a lovely day with friends x

Audrey. .safe travels and catch up soon x

Hemmy. .glad you are feeling the difference x I have done food combining in the past and flirt with it a bit now. I followed the Harcombe diet (Zoe Harcombe)..you’ll find info and forum on the net. Basically no processed food and don’t mix protein and fats with carbs ie you can have steak with a cream sauce and broccoli but no chips! Don’t eat carbs and protein within 3-4 hours of each other. The science makes sense when you read her book. However it does get a bit tedious and I don’t think it’s the best choice for a long term WOL. I do think 5:2 is best for that but food combining may give a boost when stuck on a plateau. Worth checking out anyway 🙂

Hope everyone having a good day x with all the talk of steps I’ve got my pedometer out again so I’ll have a super score tonight after nordic!

Gorgeous day here x hope you’re all as lucky ♡

    Karen
    Xx

    Afternoon All,

Book not arrived..it did say 12th to the 14th so tomorrow it is..hopefully…thank you Mr Cameron at sending all your books out and my post is pushed back!

Hubby not happy at me going on the ‘diet’ he says I should stay as I am and do it slowly, he still wants treats at weekends and wine! a WOL…For us he says swimming is the answer.

I think I will read it and decide, may join Audrey on doing some but not all. I don’t want him to fall by the way and not keep on the 5.2. As he must off load some of his weight. ( I may do it sneaky)!

Ginette…hope your funeral goes as well as they can, enjoy your carvery.

Coffee…the steps are hard going to get 10,000 in, I am trying to up them as sometimes I am lucky to get 3000 in…it makes you realise how lazy you are…as Hemmy said break them down into hours it’s easier. I am trying to do 5 days on the trot..day 3 today!

Karen..yes I laughed at the knockers on Ginettes head…thanks had a lovely lunch and catch up, a bit too much food, I now have to judge my calories on MFP..no dinner tonight!

Hope everybody else is doing well pop in for a chat

    Jean X

    Hi Ladies

Just getting a chance now to log on and catch up. It seems you wise ladies were right, 3 fast days on my first week…. a little over ambitious! I just couldn’t face it today, my headache is still troubling me although I have to say that it is nowhere near as bad as it was. Thank you for all your tips and advice. I will have to go see if there are oxo cubes in the supermarket, not something I have checked for before but its usually quite good.

Interesting that you seem to be discussing fruit, I keep reading that it is full of sugar and should be limited but I consider fruit to be a natural sugar and eaten on its own before anything else can be digested correctly

    Hi Clarky,

Hope you have had a good work day.

Maybe try the two fasts for a few weeks to get in the swing you can always give three a try later.

Glad the headaches are easing. Which day are you weighing in? Most of us weigh in and log the weight the morning after the second fast day.

Hemmy has been trying fruit for breakfast and improving her weight loss, a few of us I think are going to give it a go. Keeping off the man made carbs.

    X

    Hi Symba7

Work is going okay thank you, will be glad when its done though! 🙂

I think I am going to be weighing in on Monday mornings. I need it to be a set day each week so that I dont hop on and off every day!

I am liking the fruit idea for breakfast! Is that on a non-fasting day?

    Hi Dear friends

    Thought this interesting. Xx

My personal experience with eating fruit breakfast

Having lived a highly unhealthy lifestyle of eating processed foods and unwholesome/fattening foods, and touting a sluggish and puffy body as a result, I decided to detox with a fruit breakfast plan based on the insights I got from a book called “Fit For Life” by Harvey Diamond. I decided to focus on eating whole fruits (so that the dietary fibre is not removed) instead of juicing them. I also understood that citrus fruits are like virtual fat burners because of the Vitamin C content present in them that helped the body metabolize fat. So my plan was to eat a bowl of citrus fruits in the morning on empty stomach (around 8 am) and have a snack of sweet fruits, or have a glass of juice, around 11 am.

Some fruits that I included in my breakfast are – Oranges, Kiwi fruit, Grapefruit, Grapes, Tangerines. I also ate an apple, pear or guava, if I felt an appetite for it. Around 11 am I would have a couple of bananas or eat some cut pineapples, mangoes, apple or papaya.

Eating fruits allowed me to have an active morning, with no “sluggishness”. I felt more energized, my brain felt more focused and creative and my body as a whole felt agile. I liked the feeling generated by this simple breakfast of fruits and so it was easy for me to continue this eating pattern without requiring any “will power” or discipline.

I was able to see some very vivid results with respect to weight loss. I easily lost close to 5 pounds in a period of 2 weeks, despite the fact that I was not into any exercises or work outs at that time, neither did I make a marked change in my eating patterns at lunch or dinner (I had stopped over-indulging in processed foods, and was focused on eating more whole foods for quite a while before I started this fruit breakfast plan). So the fruit breakfast plan accentuated the process of weight loss for me and helped improve the overall fitness/health of my body. If you’ve never tried this before you will be amazed at the positive results you will see within just a few weeks of sticking to this plan of eating.

Hi Coffee .. well done for your lb loss. That is brilliant news. Xx

Sym .. I think we are all worried about sugar in fruit … starch in potatoes and some veg. It is all natural ..

Sorry you feel a bit down .. but you will get back to losing well again. You are a determined lady. Xx

Gine .. hope funeral wasn’t too sad. At least a lovely day .. always a bonus at these times. Xx

Hi Karen … I didn’t get on well with that combining but did remember feeling good with the fruit till lunch time. Xx

Hi Clarkey… Yes just eaten on Normal days… I don’t eat breakfast on FDs. Xx

KT you OK. Xx Winnie how are you doing. Xx Aud hope your back safely. Xx

Thank you for sharing the information and your own experiences, I tihnk I will give it a go too!

Finally got home what a mess the m6 is…..

Have popped on scales it’s looking ok for tomorrow’s weigh in. …

Will post first thing once I have weighed in…

Off for early bath n bed…. exhausted both mentally and physically with mum….

    Audrey

    hi all

well my lovely gp actually said he is proud of me!!
he knows all the awful mh etc stuff I have been through and he said how impressed he was that I have turned it around

my bp was 120/80 so fine
and he said he is interested to see what my cholesterol will be if they test it after 6mths on 5:2 (he actually said a year, but I got him to agree to 6mths)

he did say the throat problems may be aggravated by it all, but he is still convinced its nothing ominous (god I hope he is right)
but he is very happy for me to continue on this WOL]

he also did admit that losing 20 pounds so quickly (it might seem quick to him, but I am never satisfied) and fasting/500cal, is a huge shock to the system and a big thing for the body to adjust to, and that he wouldn’t actually have been surprised if there had been an increase in Bp

anyway, enough from my gp appointment!!

I came home, too tired, and have had cream crackers and marmalade for tea ho hum!!

Good luck Clarkey .. we can but try different things to keep our weight moving in the right direction. Lol
Being on this thread helps .. lots of idea s and experiences first hand. When one of us is down ( which we all go through… for on reason or another. ) There is always generous support. We are all doing this journey together and we will all get there …. together how long it takes. . Xx

KT Lol … we say we are cream crackered if we are tired.

Oooh so pleased to hear your GP news. That is just Fab. Just what the doctor ordered. Lol

He did sound pleased with you … you have been through the mill and come out brilliantly.

Fast Beach here we come. We can damn well do this KT. What a wonderful summer to look forward too . Xx

    Aud

Oh bless you. Xx I can imagine how you must be feeling.

Hope tomorrows scales bring good news. .. I am crossing everything for you. Have a well deserved sleep. Xxxx

    Hi All,

Coffee…sorry so full of woes this morning …I missed your 1 lb off great news, well done

Audrey…..enjoy your bath and bed…have a relaxing evening you deserve it…hope the scales are good tomorrow.

Hemmy….what a good report on fruit it does make you think ..to give it a go..it seemed to work well last week for you. Might have a good look around for fruit and see what there is, maybe go to one of the bigger supermarkets other than Aldi.

KT…..all good reports from doctors..and you have lost already 20 lbs..you must be so proud with yourself..really well done..

Ginette…hope you are OK….funerals take it out of you..xxx

We had a lovely lunch out, counted the calories best I could on MFP and it was in my allowance so not as bad as I thought.

FD for both of us tomorrow.

    Jean x

Crossed threads as usual Hemmy lol xx

    Lol Sym

Wonder if Gine could find us some left over wine tonight. Lolol

Glad you enjoyed your lunch. Xx

Yes, it makes you think about the fruit…. I do feel so much better with it. No cravings. Eaten no bread at all this week. You know me and my sandwiches.

Today … fruit … jacket potato with cheese and salad…… homemade soup.

    FD again Friday. Xx

hemmy I don’t know if I am going to do the 4:3
I am having quite a lot of issues with my throat – and I really don’t want to make it any worse

will have to think over the weekend

    Hi KT

I would only do the Fast Beach If you are comfortable with it. Best to see how you go with your throat. Xx

You are doing so well anyway … no pressure needed. ( Pay no minds to me I just get carried away and excited. ) Lolol

    Sleep well KT. Xx

    its ok, I understand
    xx

    Hi Coffee

Like you I had a pedometer still have one, the one which came with the Wii. I don’t do enough steps and nowhere near the steps people are doing here. I never have been a walker, talker yes no problems there.

When I reread the book I shall see what it says for veggies. Well done on your loss.

    Hi Karen

How funny was that!! Well as long as I raised a smile. Sadly mine are more like droppers than knockers now.

I think that the fruit for breakfast idea sounds good and achievable. I shall give that a go when I get a selection of fruit in.

Yes the weather was lovely here as well. 17 degrees and 11 degrees about 30 mins ago coming home. So warming up. I don’t want it too warm though.

    Hi Jean

Oh dear that book is well and truly awaited now. I hope you get it tomorrow. The funeral had the last post played on a bugle. Lots of people there unusual for someone of that age as he hasn’t got a big family only one daughter. He was obviously well thought of.

With the fast beach. Why not do it 6 days a week and have one off maybe a Sunday. This way you will gave the best of both worlds. It doesn’t need to be so strict every day. This will keep hubby happy. I always still had my roast in a Sunday including a dessert of fresh fruit and a couple of spoons of youhurt. This way I still achieved a good loss.

No knickers on my head tonight as I’m not going anywhere tomorrow.

    Hi Clarkey

Yes you are right fruit is full of sugar but there is a lot of goodness in it. It needs to be whole not blended. Strawberries and melon are quite good on the calorie count. It is obviously working though. I would find find combining difficult. I did try it once but fruit for breakfast is easy. I would have to have it as lunch though as I don’t eat breakfast.

Three days most people find too difficult. I do them all the tine now but I would never suggest them to someone just starting. Drink plenty. If you are used to having caffeine in tea or coffee don’t go without entirely as this can give you awful headaches. Allow a couple and count in the milk.

I always have 5/6 cups and allow 100 calories, I don’t take sugar but I would miss my tea too much and it does get me through the day on a fast day.

    Hi Hemmy

Thanks for putting your experiences here. It is helpful and as you say you haven’t changed other things is a good indicator that it works. I have started normal days with something unhealthy for some while now. Fast days are no problem I don’t even think about these things but I know as I wake up I want (not need) something I shouldn’t.

I am hoping that the restarting of the FBD will be like tge beginning of 5:2 all again for me. A good initial loss and at last that Christmas weight gone. I have got back into some very bad habits again. I shall have to give myself a good talking to.

I drove along the top of the hill that overlooks Portsmouth and on a sunny day there isn’t a better view anywhere, with the sun glistening on the water just lovely.

    Hi Audrey

Glad you are back home. Now is tine to rest up and recover your energy. Good luck for tomorrow.

    Hi KT

That is high praise indeed from your doctor. It’s good that the BP is fine as well. The best amount to lose has always been considered between 4 and 7lbs a month. Me I would be happy with 2 as an average now. Your body and skin need to adjust with you. Remember if you lost just 2 lbs a month or would be nearly 2 stone in a year. I know the first year you want to lose more but think of the 2lbs a month as a minimum and you will do well.

Think of those cars that rush past all the other traffic only to get caught up in traffic. Otters who drive a little more slowly won’t feel that same frustration when the get caught up in the traffic. The most important thing is that you are moving in the right direction be it quickly or slowly. You will still reach your destination. Xx

It’s nice to have that encouragement from your doctor though. Now maybe you will see how well you have done.

    Hi Hemmy

You are saying almost the same words as me 🙂 yes I’m really tired tonight and when I finish this I am off to bed.

    KT

A good thing to do us instead of 4:3 do 5:2 and an 800 day. This gives you more leeway but a bit more relaxed.

Ok all I’m off to bed now.

    See you tomorrow

    Good morning

Another 1lb lost never to return. ….I am now just 15 lbs to my target weight of a healthy bmi and 1lb off my 1st stone this year. …

I only managed to do a 6 2 this week so happy with my result…

I will have travelled from obese to healthy bmi when I get to my target, I know I still need to lose more but boy oh boy will I celebrate getting there. …

I am back into my smaller clothes now too…

Have a great day everybody it’s good to see everyone seems to be doing ok again, but if you are struggling or need advice pop on here there is lots of advice and support here…

    Together we are stronger. …

    Audrey

wow Audrey – lots of brilliant achievements AND goals
    well done xx

Thanks KT In total I have lost 24 lbs on 52 … this includes the weight I regained late last year when I went off piste…. hehe but I had the previous year lost 14 lbs…. by dieting and xalorie counting…I was well into the obese range. ….

I am just so glad my fiends on here supported me through my difficult time last year and kept me here I could quite easily have put the 24 lbs back on I was on a dark place….

I find it easier to make small targets that are reachable and don’t take long to achieve, I write them down in my book of weight loss and then cross them out! It was no fun when I had to put them back on in January. …😢😢.

Stick with us KT the girls on here are priceless. …

    Hi Audrey

Well done on your loss. Yes you have done really well. We all need to stick with it as if not we would only put on weight. I agree we all go through those bad times and it is being here that helps.

I love your typo sometimes they are so funny ….

    Hi KT

Yes I agree if you stick with us through good times and bad you will get smaller. This is what counts, the journey as well as the end result.

    Hi All

A really interesting one about statins today. What a lot of people thought. My Dad had a lot of pain when he took them and it stopped when he stopped them. It’s worth talking to your doctor if this affects you as you can change brands.

Another for all of us. Especially those who wobble. (That is with commitment not anything else) 🙂

    It’s about keeping weight off.

Good morning friends home all is well with you and yours.

Wow Dear Aud … another good lb loss… never to be seen again. Well done with your achievement’s.
You have truly done so brilliantly .. through illness and pain. Also always encouraging… helping others. So well deserved and Well done. Xx

Hoping for another lovely day as shopping with Mum today and our little lunch.

Going to buy something from a charity shop size 12… hang it on my wardrobe. Inspiration. Lol.. Thinking of ” Del Boy” He who dares wins. Lolol

    Hi Gine..

What a beautiful view that sounded. Sunshine is wonderful for making things look even more beautiful.

Looking forward to the FB now. I seem to have turned a corner all of a sudden. Just doing the 2 FDs and losing quite well from the start then stabling… I can see now what rubbish I was eating even on this way of life.

I just seem to want and yearn for ” clean” food. While walking yesterday just keep thinking about a crisp salad. Normally I would have collected a sandwich after the dentists. Lol Long may it last.

Hope there are no more funerals for you for a while. You have your meal to look forward to tomoz.

Glad to hear no knockers or knickers to be seen on your hair last night. Lol

Do you have that lovely naturally thick curly hair. My Kristy does and I love it standing out but she uses something called Frizease I think that’s what its called.

Have a chilled out day Gine… don’t get bogged done under paperwork. There was a good article in the Sunday supplement about keeping all your life … home .. clothes to the minimum helps the brain apparently.

Trouble is we may need those things that are thrown away. Lol

Have a good day G. Xx

Brit lovelies… Gine … Aud… Sym .. Karen.. CC… KT.. Coffee.. Clarkey.. Winnie. and all enjoy your day.

Begin again as often as you need to in order to stay on track Xx

Thank you for the links girls .. will read later. Xx
