Its another lovely day.. It really is flaming June.
A good early walk. I miss other walkers and their dogs Pip and I have accompanied over the fields the past 13 yrs Some have moved on others have lost their beloved animals and don’t seem to walk anymore. its so sad for them. I don’t expect I could face those fields without my boy running ahead.

Came back and mowed the lawns. Having a late lunch then upstairs to hover.

Tomorrow out to lunch and charity shopping ..

Home early today.

Hemmy – Engineers came out this afternoon (I didn’t need to stay home). House is all up and running.

Brads27 – Well done! You’re on a winning streak. That is a hearty meal! I haven’t had that delicious combination is a long time. This evening we have sweet potato, salmon, steamed veg and corn.

Hubby managed to find a car. It ended up being a Mazda 6 (never knew he liked them). Was happy and smiling when he sat inside, and took it for a spin. Liked it as soon as we pulled into the lot. Figured, if he’s that happy, why not. Getting the other car collected by Redcorn.😥

Jean- poor you, lovely to see your family when they’re so far away, but all sounds not so good! They have been all together & the holidays are long in the US, not surprised it all gets stressful…

Opted for a FD today, not been too hard. Caught up on some cleaning but my neck hasn’t been great so pacing myself! The sun came out this afternoon so finished my book in the garden. Starting a new one tonight- The Cold Vanish, all about how many people go missing in US national parks, cheerful! Eldest son has had an offer accepted on a cottage, very exciting but obviously there’s plenty can go wrong with buying houses, no chain at all though so 🤞

Evening All..
I have got them all to the Premier Inn near Jacqui and her Dad. Zack played golf and we had breakfast at the golf club before he played.
I collected my new strimmer but it needs putting together tomorrow’s job and my man cleaned the car. All the bedding and towels washed, beds remade..
Knees still sore a bit better wearing different shoes, I keep resting it.

I step back and leave them to it.. I only spoke up when he disappeared Katie was beside herself with worry. It’s nice and peaceful I like my own company.

Up early this morning to tackle a few things I need to do before work starts. The saying, ‘I can’t work at work’ does apply to me.

My weigh in this morning:

21.06.25 – 27l lbs
27.06.25 – 26lbs away from my goal

It was actually a pound and change, but I decided to round it down.

Brads27 – I will definitely check it out. VM are not the best, they may be one of the fastest broadband providers, but their customer service is falling behind as leaders. They like to gate keep access to their managers until you ask for the retention team.
Sorry about the loss yesterday at bowls but glad you’re looking forward to Saturday.

Hedgehogs – Hubby got a Mazda 6 (who knew). We were on the lot, and he decided he liked it. It was in decent condition and a lot cheaper than the original car we decided on. Well done on your loss one pound left to go. What is your fasting schedule?

Jean – Me too! We bought my run around based on me liking the colour. Hubby negotiated all the other things I needed like tyres and MOT certificate – the important stuff (I did know they were important, but the colour – wow!).😄

Its going to be a warm one again today for our fur babies. and getting warmer the weekend.

A lovely day out yesterday .. a nice lunch and found some good buys. It was market day in Banbury we got lots of lovely fresh fruit.
I keep the fruit skins to nourish the pots of Geraniums the heads on them are massive this year. They are loving this heat I am soo thrilled.

My weight is good and stable this morning. .. eating little really though in this weather but eating lots of fruit and drinking water.

Morning everyone, a while since I’ve posted.
Managed to lose the two pounds holiday gain last week and one and a half pounds this week.
Can’t remember if I mentioned when we returned to our bikes the Wednesday before our last holiday that some low life had stolen the battery stolen from my husbands electric bike.We made an insurance claim and have only just been able to buy a new one with the claim money. I’ve not been out on Geraldine since then and really miss doing
it, also we’re no longer keen to leave our bikes at the same park and ride as before so are contemplating cycling all the way to the St Ives busway park and ride which is always busy with less opportunities for the battery thieves.
Hedgehogs 🤞 for your son’s house buy. Yes Auntie is still going strong and yesterday she looked really well and her breathing has greatly improved since her Dr sent a nurse around to show her some breathing exercises that he thought she had been shown to do before being discharged from hospital the last time.
Jean sounds like a hectic time for you and Charlie this week, enjoy unwinding slowly.
Hemmy husband and I love fishing and used to go often but then we couldn’t find the time or if we did have a spare day the weather was bad so stopped going. Off out into our garden soon to tidy up a bit before it gets to warm.
