Its a dry start but rain forecast again today. gardens looking so green and lush and I will be happy to hand over garden duties back to my friends today. . I have been soo lucky with the rain.. it all looks wonderful for them. .

I am trying not to get to excited but so absolutely thrilled my knee pain has gone.. I had it for a good while I wont be swapping and changing any vitamins I take now.. as i usually do lol

Hedgehogs – I tend to get up early to do my training and then get in a little work. It’s the best time. I only need to focus on myself. 😁

Hubby’s birthday tomorrow, so have to watch myself. I will ‘save’ my calories for a slice of cake – that will probably be the whole 1,300 calories then.😖

I fancied some porridge so nipped up to Sainsbury’s but gone off the idea now 🤪 I will have it tomorrow. Yes the boxes are needed for the living room items. Just cleaned the pasting table read for use in the living room. It’s quiet heavy. Not a wooden one that’s rickety. This one is rock solid. Just used the new kettle and tea caddy 😁. Bowling every day this week all league games.Monday got to go to Denise’s bank after I’ve taken her to her her legs bandaged.Tuesday drop her off at Spanish lessons, do will have to go shopping Tuesday evening.

AS it’s only one day have a good time today and start again tomorrow.As for the bowling we have the fixtures for all season in each league. The captain of both teams write a number against our names from 1-8 then they just pick each others so it the luck of the draw Evo you play, I’ve not been very lucky so far, I can guarantee I will play a very good player on Friday they win the league every year and Thier green is so difficult to play on. Think the best score I have got is about 6. One corner of you bowl travels a little too fast it goes off and you bowl it up hill so you have to get over the hill or it rolls back😱.

Brads27 – I did have a little sneaky bit. Not a whole slice just a corner.😉
Still under calories, so will probably have some of the mixed veggies with mackerel. We haven’t had mackerel in a while, so we decided the smoked peppered mackerel. Sometimes, it can be a little too rich for me.

You have played some really skilful players lately, so hopefully this week you will have a more favourable opponent. Fingers crossed that you come out on top tomorrow. 🤞

Took Xena to a heath this morning, but had to keep her on a lead most of the walk, the wildlife trust have goats grazing, I didn’t know so will avoid there for a while. After Church I made the Crunchie Tiffin for son to take to his on-call station to celebrate finishing his course. Did his washing & ironing so I can drop it off before we go away on Tuesday.
Poor BIL had to go to A&E yesterday, their dog Paddy bit him, John tried to get something off him, naughty boy! He’s a bit like Xena & guards things, he’ll drop it for a treat but John forgot to do that…

Looks like cloudy mornings are the normal.. although the sun gets up a bit later here…about 6am is dawn breaking…9pm dark.

Everyone sleeping and the boys plans have changed.. no golf… I think wine, beer and late nights are taking there toll… Johnny doesn’t really drink his friend does more.
I think I had three small wines so not over the top, and whiskey coffee yesterday …none in the day.

Sorry I can’t keep up with posts too many to comment on but I am reading them all…

Hemmy I had poached eggs bacon, sausage and baked beans.😋😋😋😋😋. Very busy this week bowling every day. Yet again I got their best player.I was fed up of getting them and losing so for a change I won 21-12.Bowling every day this week so will get plenty of steps in. I don’t really pay much attention to steps but if I’ve done a lot I may mention it. Going to do the shopping tonight for a change.Denises left leg is almost dry so improving. She uses her walking stick all the time now so I’ve got to keep in her good books or she will clonk me with it.

Very late to bed last night 12.30, you know me I like 10pm!
Ate out on the sea front, very nice but time crept on, I am a creature of habit 10 pm (mains)food all slow .. starters and a gap to mains..getting fed up of eating now..

Boys full day deep sea fishing , hired the boat could be up to 12 hours…they did more of little fishing and sight seeing yesterday for 4 hours.. but serious game on today!!🤣.. newbies left behind!
Full moon so could be difficult to find!!!

Supposed to be cloudy today, sunny now 🤷‍♀️.. BBC weather is no good at all for here…
I think it’s our walking day out for 9.30, taxi out then 2 hours slowly along the prom back, stopping for coffees etc…half today and half next week it’s about 4 /5 hours in total..

Itinerary for today..
A hours walk this morning up and down hills on a promenade about 3 miles, lots of lovely views different beaches, stopped for a couple of wines in a quaint village and returned on same route.
Sat on the local beach now just chilling..

Easy night on food haddock and chips, next to a bar… they work together you get a ticket at the chippy then they call you when ready , while you have a beer or wine ..suits me fine…

I won again 21-4 an easier game. Weather great at the moment and getting better according to the forecast I’m having chicken pieces in a tomato and basil sauce with new potatoes. Not too many calories so if it’s nice I’ll be having it regularly.

Good morning everyone the sun is out again, A bit of a drive to bowls today and wouldn’t you know I’m driving. It’s near Denise’s old school Stockport Grammar.Denise had to get a bus and a train to get to it. Non of this school run for her or me I used to walk to school and get a bus in secondary school. I went to college when I started work only day release and did do night school for a year going maths mostly but gave that up and jumped a year into a technical course for mechanical engineering.,I did another three years of that then passed the City and Guilds exam with distinction.I had the sofa too myself but Chloe soon jumped up to get on it with me. I ordered a shirt that says my shadow as got four legs and a tail 😁, she definitely is my shadow.if I walk to the kitchen I know if I put my hand behind me a big nose will go in it😁.I hope all your holiday’s are going well and your having a great time. Denise keeps looking at holidays abroad and cruises.

I got beat at bowls but only by one point. The team lost by two points😱. So not a bad result. It’s a difficult league and we only came up to it last year. Were hanging on in the relegation zone. No chance of us ever finishing near the top but don’t mind that. We have a laugh and plenty of banter. Mince and tatties tonight my favourite.

I had a sneaky weigh in this morning, and was 1lb down. But…the official weigh in will be Friday. I’m hoping for 2lbs down. Fingers and toes crossed.

Brads27 – I remember when we used to have Year 1, 2, 3 and 4, lower then upper sixth. Now it’s all changed to Year 1 all the way to 13! Personally, anything within engineering is commendable.😊 Hope Denise was in good spirits today. Well done on the bowls. You did well!

Hemmy – Glad the dentist went well and you were in and out for £60. Understand about the deposits, even my son’s barber takes a deposit now when he books. If he doesn’t turn up, that’s £4 lost. Hope you enjoyed your meal!

Jean – You all are having such a great time. I think hiring a taxi for a few hours is a good idea get a chance to stay in places a little longer, so less time spent getting back to the hotel.

Late lunch at 3pm so I will just have something light later maybe omelette.

My dentist is NHS l and private work so a good price for my dentist check but hygienist is private I think.. well private prices lolol. .

Just booked Pams Birthday treat.. Afternoon tea in The Orangery at Blenheim Palace.. It will be our 3rd time there for Birthdays .. So lovely to get dressed up and enjoy such a glorious setting. Its only 15 miles from here ,

A S a pound a week loss I would say it’s the perfect amount when you lose slowly it generally stays off. So well done. It’s like lambs to the slaughter today at bowls, I’m expecting an 8-0 team defeat and to make matters worse for to do it all again on Monday playing with my other team. Got away with no rain yesterday and the forecast for today is dry so looking good. The eyes of the speedway world will be upon what I live this weekend.Belle Vue have got a speedway GP and Saturday they have another which should have been at Cardiff. In not going far too expensive. But it’s sold out on one day and I’m sure the other will be the same.

Hemmy I am going to make Toad in the hole, not done it before. It’s dray and sunny so the Speedway GP should be ok tonight at least. It’s the Canadian GP this week in F1.Struggling to get anyone round to look at the roof so don’t know what to do next. Lost at bowls as expected team lost 8-0.

Hedgehogs – Thank you! I can see that my physique is actually changing, it may not show on the scales, but I can see it in my clothes and how they hang on my frame. My kids are teenagers. The grumpy, choose their time to be happy, why can’t I do… teenagers.😁

Hemmy – Thank you for the kind words! This weekend I am finishing up with some work and then looking at a car with hubby. We have a small budget and just need a run around for him to get to school and back. The one he drives needs too much work done before the MOT comes around.

The score on Monday would have been slightly better because our best player is actually captain of the team that beat us but in their A team which is slightly better than the team that beat us. But he’s in a competition in the Isle of Man .So I imagine it will be pretty similar.I have beaten 3 of their players away from their green, but on it I never get many, never got to double figures. They are a great bunch of lads(all in there 70/80s)😁 but not bigheaded. They all say hello as soon as they see us. I have been trying the AI on the weight loss app on phone but didn’t think it was working so I got weighed today and have gained 2.4lbs. So turned the AI off. Will have to rethink the strategy.SKY I did make toad in the hole,very nice it was but probably to many calories, difficult to say how many so won’t do it again. The speedway was good last night our two Aces riders finished first and third and it’s another GP tonight at our track, that have taken over the one that should have been at Cardiff for some reason so not complaining. I’ve been to three gp’s at Cardiff I reckon that’s where I got my tinnitus from, the speakers were way too loud. Looks like you having a great time Jean and Nana and HH you have had a good holiday, still waiting for mine. We have a bowling day out in a fortnight at the Rose and Bowl,18 of us going, not a many as last time 9 men and women, do we will have some nibbles then play bowls and the odd pint then have a three course carvery at night.

Washing machine has decided to stop mid cycle. However, it has been making a lot of noise when spinning for a while. So there were indicators before it broke down. We have a scheduled appointment for 24th of June. So, to the launderette we will go which usually costs about £15 everytime.

Brads27 – Fingers crossed for your team tomorrow. It must be nice to get together at the end of the season and simply enjoy the company of fellow players.

Hemmy – Hubby found a Kia he likes and we decided not to view it, as it was a 2 hour journey away. Unfortunately, you get more bang for your buck the further out you go. As we like that type of vehicle, we will be looking slightly closer to home, no more than an hour away.

Yesterday was busy, did some tidying & cleaning, & made a pud for today which took ages- a chocolate caramel tart. The pastry case was quite iffy but it tasted really good…the boys came for a BBQ today, in good spirits, I relaxed the keto, & have eaten more than I have been, so tomorrow will be a FD!
