Hello Steve & welcome here! I’m not far from you, near Woodbridge, so I can keep an eye on you 😂
It’s helpful to come on here on fast days, get some encouragement! I found it easier to just have one or 2 meals, rather than 3 small ones, that’s always made me hungrier…when you do 5:2, it’s just the one day at a time, tell yourself that & hopefully it’ll help.

Hemmy- will you have any hot cross buns over Easter? We’ve bought one pack so might have one on Good Friday…
Nana- fingers crossed for good weather next week, are you staying in a caravan again this time?
Going to meet a friend for a coffee, will be strong and resist cakes…done our shopping already. Will tackle the rest of under the sofas, Jean I had to admit defeat yesterday & couldn’t finish, my neck was playing up wriggling about underneath! The sofa & both armchairs are all reclining, so many fiddly bits of frames that were dusty!

A lovely breakfast and catchup with Jacqui… seeing her again Friday, she is coming up to me after lunch…

Sorted my picture frames out and they are up and I am pleased the colours are so bright….

Welcome to our corner you are so welcome.. take it steady and don’t over think to deeply about thing’s.. as Dave says keep to 800 calories on a fast day and split the 2 days it’s better. I eat breakfast at about 10.30 and again I eat about 4.30.. I have fallen into that pattern most days unless I catch up with friends.
We all come on here every day to keep you positive, Hemmy and I are running along goal weight but still come on here. I lost 2 1/2 stones. I am 3 lbs up at the moment.

Sorry your necks playing up, hard getting into tight corners. Jacqui has had a painful arm, doctor totally uninterested.. she has been to a sports physio, she said it feels really good, booked in again for next month. £20 for 30 mins, not a bad price.

Hope the rain didn’t stop play.. some of ours carry a towel to dry the boules..

I have got my padded trousers out it’s like winter here and blowing a gale.. going to be a cold dog walk…

Out was absolutely freezing playing bowls today, couldn’t feel my fingers. It’s back to winter after having all the good weather of late.Bowling again tomorrow then it’s speedway Friday and Monday. on Monday’s when the speedway is on I have started only having one meal and that’s around 10pm.Typhoo aye you lurking, time you came back on here.

A big thank you, to all of you (Hemmy, Symba7, Brads27 and Hedgeshogs) for welcoming me and your kind words of encouragement. I will let you know when I actually start the 5 2 in May. I would just like to explain why I am starting in May and not immediately.
My youngest son (now 16 years old) celebrated his birthday early April, he still likes cake and we always go out for lunch and dinner. That was the easy birthday!
Next week my wife celebrates her birthday, the very next day my middle son celbrates his birthday and beleive it or not, my oldest son celebrates his birthday two days after my middle son. Of course they all want, to go out to dinner and celebrate. Financially crippling month and not a good month for dieting in general, let alone Fasting 🙁 – And on top of that Easter is thrown into the mix. Enough said.

@ Hedgehogs – I used to go to school in Woodbridge and lived in a little village a few miles outside of Woodbridge. Small world isn’t it ?

My son and daughter have birthdays in December plus Christmas then my wife and I have birthdays in January.I did the same as you and started the month after I came on here. Gives you time to plan things. Hemmy any luck with the butter beans or have you given up hope of ever finding them 🤣. Speedway tomorrow at 12 noon and the same on Monday.My son likes the watch I bought and his Fitbit as gone very dim so I told him he can have it. I have the Samsung watch 7 not only the smaller version which I think is too small for me, so I’ll look around and see what’s on offer.I like smart watches.

Good morning everyone it’s a cold day and rain expected.Typical when they’re is speedway. The Easter eggs are calling me, resistance is futile. I’ll start again on Monday. They have banned dogs from attending speedway meetings. I’ve seen quiet a few dogs at different tracks. At Leicester one dog had it’s own chair and blanket and all the officials used to come and stroke it.Another at Kings Lynn use to ware a baseball cap with a British bulldog on it.

Steve- no wonder you can’t fast for a few weeks, that’s alot of birthdays!! Woodbridge school or Farlingaye? My boys were at Farlingaye, it’s gone downhill a bit now…Enjoy your Easter!

Dave- hope the speedway is good, shame about banning dogs. Not too many Easter eggs I hope!

Had a lovely time out with eldest son & his gf at the beach yesterday, the weather was beautiful, had a couple of walks before & after brunch…stuck to keto then but am having a couple of treats today- hot cross buns & I’ve made a sort of millionaires tart for pudding as Mum’s coming over for dinner. Seeing youngest son tomorrow.

I have a Whispa egg and a box of 5 little caramel eggs.. I am soo amazed as they have been sitting on the table since Wednesday and they havnt called to me at all lol.
I have a box of my old favourite Mr Kipling little iced fancy cakes..
So it will be interesting for me to see how I feel after the weekend.

Afternoon All..
Walked out and then had breakfast..

Cleared my kitchen of blind, pictures and nick knacks… painted my ceiling and one coat on the walls. It’s very fiddly lots of cutting in. Took 4 hours another wall coat tomorrow.. I feel tired.

Going out for afternoon tea on Monday as it’s my birthday.. our favourite place had closed down so it’s booked at a garden centre always lovely food there so should be nice. Jacqui and Philip are taking me.

Who won our rugby? Jacqui sailed through to me roads were really quiet. Everybody watching the match.
Depends on where the cows are.. sometimes you can avoid them..I am walking a different route at the moment.

I bought a couple of bars of almond chocolate from Aldi my favourite. I will be glad when my decorating is done.. I am really feeling it this time round…. but I do enjoy doing it… hope you got in the garden with your book, Charlie has been sat in his bed outside so it must have been warm earlier.

Had a lovely evening with Mum, she was in a good mood & laughing at her memory so we did have some jokes…ate too much sugary stuff, reminded me why I need to do keto, I have no will power with sweet stuff! back on keto today. Youngest son came round this morning & went to Mum’s for a game this afternoon. She’s started the Easter egg I gave her last night already 😱

Hemmy I had one large egg but my son just gave me another one. It would be rude not to eat it. I’ll start the weight loss on Tuesday.No bowling until Thursday.I should be playing Monday but will be at speedway, Wednesday I’ll be reserve because I lost last Wednesday all be it by only one point. The two worst losers get dropped and there was only two losers.

Hull used to have a good speedway team, sadly no more. If it’s rugby league I would support Salford, if it’s union then I support Sale, have been to watch both but prefer speedway.Football as gone very boring at the moment. Might go back to ice hockey.A lots of fans I used to see at the hockey now go and support Leeds but that’s to far for me. I did drive to Wales each week for a year but that was a bit too far as well.

Good morning everyone it’s pouring down here.Speedway was called off yesterday because of the weather forecast and they got it right. So I can go bowling now if that’s on.Depends if the green is waterlogged or not. Speedway at Birmingham was called off a well so rain over a lot of the country. Last egg tonight so had lots to eat today then will get back to losing weight.

Afternoon All…
I walked a different way and the cows had moved so had to avoid them.. should of stayed the way I usually go..

No boules today.. still feeling tired so gave it a miss. I sorted a new ISA out, went to reframe my picture but they are closed till Thursday..

It’s an eating week out Wednesday and Thursday.. so no fasting this week.. a good job birthdays come around once a year!!

Eaten the left overs, a bit of chocolate to eat, then I really must try hard for 6 weeks..I think being near goal I am being careless.
Lots of work outside it will look nice when finished .

Its lovely and sunny here today.. it was ideal for the Garden Centre lunch.

Lots of pretty spring colours to temp us but we resisted lol. A pleasant few hours.

I have eaten all my chocolate but only gained 1 lb as my weekend meals were small.

At least I don’t have sugar cravings now so that’s a relief.

Dave.. Hopefully Tesco will have the butter beans soon now. Hope they are good lol. Yes back to being good now Easter is over.

Good evening all the chocolate gone now. Chloe’s having maltesers, Denise eats the chocolate off then then Chloe as the rest. Bowls the next three days so hope the weather is kind. I’ve done well foodwise today so got to keep it up.

No news from builders or trading standards, will give them a shake up later. Not had much rain lately so will have to wait and see, been more bothered about Denise. She’s expert at changing bandages and hours for a test on her legs tomorrow so watch this space. The sun is out but it dosent feel very warm. I’ll have a cuppa then take Chloe out.

Hemmy- it was chilly here too today & wet for our walk, hopefully nice next week, it was a bit of a shock to the system today! Do you make up pots with any bedding plants? Will soon be time to get them out …We usually shop once a week on a Wednesday.

Had a browse with clothes at our Tesco’s, bought some flappy trousers but they were too big so hopefully can change them! Made dinner ready for tomorrow, we have to take hubby’s car in for repairs so will probably pick it up late afternoon.

Good morning everyone.Denise gets her legs tested today so fingers crossed, only trouble is she will have lymphedema for the rest of her life, and it’s really getting her down. She’s the strongest person I know but it is wareing her down.I feel so helpless.Couldnt sleep do up at this ridiculous time of the day, should be in bed. Chloe can’t believe I’m up Burt at least I can just about fit on the sofa 😁 normally her head is on one arm and her bum is one the other, she’s a long shanks. I’ve kept under my calorie allowance this week so far, no idea how though, I just want to eat.

Hemmy Denise is in a lot of pain now since they took her bandages off. She’s got compression bandage on now and as to keep it on for a week. She can’t even get her shoes on now. Not had anything to eat today so having poached eggs and beans on toast. Think I’ll have it now.

Dave.. I do hope when Denise goes back next week she will not have to sit and wait. Hopefully this compression bandage eases the pain once settled .Bless her and a worry for you I am sure. Did they give her some decent painkillers.

I have only ended up with some nuts and grapes tonight.

Sym… Yes give the scales a miss this Birthday week .. just enjoy it… a celebration week. You have had a sad time these past years. and got on with it.X

My Andrews 13th anniversary since he passed on May 1st .. it still seems like yesterday.. . I don’t know where those years have gone . Xx

William and James are both together in Sydney for a couple of days before William starts homeward bound. They have been for a long walk and at Bondi beach today. They have tomorrow together.

Oh this week has gone so very quickly .. it seems 5 minutes since last Friday lol.

Came back from walking and decided to mow. ,, so a late lunch again but at least lawns done for the weekend.

The weather looks good so tomorrow I might paint my old rustic bench.. so it doesnt have to be a perfect job. I love the pale green/blue shade. Wild Thyme I think its called..

Dave.. I hope the bowls went well and you got a good score. .What’s for tea today.

I think I will have boiled eggs later because of late lunch.. I have 2 Tesco best range ready meals for Sat/Sun .. A bit naughty but not cooking as such. a nice weekend break and I always add veg.
