Good evening everyone, Denise as been to get her legs done they cleaned them and put a pad and a compression sock on her legs, she’s got to go Monday and Thursday for the next 3 weeks. And is have a dop test whatever that is on the 24th. Another lovely day, don’t know how the bowling went because I went too the doctor’s with Denise.

Tony was a good friend he was always there for me with any help or advice I needed. Steve and Tony were very close, he use to ring me at 7am in a morning, strange the time came I was thinking about him. Well done on the pound off .,me too lost a pound..

I stayed the same this week, which I expected after last weekend. Mum wasn’t too bad yesterday, quite muddled today, she’s not going out as much, saying she can’t walk as far, it’s partly the dementia I think, losing motivation…I did try to encourage her to come to a keep fit class aimed at the elderly but she won’t. Rang one of my HS families, they’re doing really well so that’s good. Had a haircut, did a bit of shopping, some housework & a bit in the garden. Maybe a day out tomorrow!
Yes treat yourself HH, you deserve it for all that you do. The sun is out again so summer is almost upon us. Need to do the decorating but just can’t find the motivation at the moment.Jean if this weather continues the cows will be out soon. I do like cows but have to be very careful around them.Denise as got to go to the walk-in centre at the hospital Monday and Friday too have her dressing changed.I will drop her off at the hospital, when I’ve been there it’s at least a 4 hour wait sometimes 6 hours so don’t envy her. She is ok the following two weeks she can’t go to our GP to have it done.

I haven’t food shopped since last Saturday .. pleased with myself.
I was tempted today for some Saturday treats at the local shop .. but no decided against it will do a shop tomorrow at Tesco .

Then a lot of filling in my lounge around the French door where Charlie goes out it’s very bad…
I have every room to do it just seems a big job.. no excuse for the garden with me..

I have had chilli tonight and chicken tomorrow. The walk-in you don’t get appointments that’s why people go because they can’t get an appointment at their GP.I waited 5 hours last time I went. I’ll drop her off go bowling and pick her up if she’s still there. She as appointments for the following 2 weeks. Looking at her ailments online there isn’t really a cure as HH said just manage it. Horrible when you think she’s going to have it the rest of her life. The two weeks are up now and the roofers have done nothing so will have to wait and see what happens next.

Day out didn’t happen as the road was closed with an accident, detour too far & roadworks…I didn’t mind really as plenty to do at home! Did some gardening, cleaning & cooking- eldest’s birthday tomorrow, he’s coming with gf, asked for a roast & chocolate fondant puddings, youngest hopefully coming too.
We need to decorate our hall, stairs & landing really, I’m happy to do it but hubby hates it, he does it as fast as possible to get it done & not a proper job, I think if it’s worth doing at all it’s worth doing it properly, so will leave it!

So good they do it twice
. Dropped Denise off at hospital they have changed the road once your in the hospital so had to reverse a little down a one way street to get out otherwise I would have ended up in a multi storey car park. Sun is out again but was only 2°C when I got up this morning. It’s the first Monday league game of bowls.I was named as first reserve for the game so not sure if I’ll play or not. Difficult to get in the teams Monday and Wednesday.Much easier Thursday and Friday.I think Chloe was in shock going for a walk before 8am, bet she though she was back in training. Have a good day everyone I’ll be back.

Had a lovely day yesterday with the boys, & a nice long walk together with Xena afterwards. Haven’t eaten since lunchtime, took Xena to the beach this morning, blowy but lovely, have pottered about catching up on a few jobs outside & inside, enough to keep busy but not working too hard!

I have had a ride out to Doncaster to buy paint and tiles. I bought two tins and got one free so worth it. I got lost coming back I took the wrong turning. Sat nav took me over my nightmare bridge I always avoid it.. about 4” both sides of the car it was bleeping at me it didn’t like it!!!
Trying to get a bikini, no luck, stay with my tankini and cozzy possibly better for my age 
Sat in the garden with a cuppa with my shorts on.
A good fast day I really must try harder my tummy is expanding.. 8 weeks to holiday.

I do like messing, all set up for decorating just waiting for this warm weather to pass. Shame not to get outside while we can.
I did a lot of dress making when I was younger, changed and altered patterns to suit and for both the girls… I remember buying a dress cutting a pattern from it and then returning the dress to the shop . I suppose we did a lot then not so much money.
Well done on the 18 hour fast and getting to your low weight.. I am still 3 lbs up.

Morning everyone x Stayed the same last week when I weighed Friday morning. See what happens this week.
Went and got hearing aids fitted on Friday morning, never realised how bad my hearing was and as it was such a lovely day OH and I enjoyed a lovely long bike ride afterwards.
Hedgehogs sounds like a lovely family time for you at the weekend. Miss my daughter being to far away to just pop and visit like we used to be able to do. Facetime with heris good though and she’s really settled in well. We’ll go to visit her soon.
Dave hope Denise is starting to feel a little better now. Hope you get sorted out with the roofers.

Good afternoon everyone, Denise was at the walk-in for 3 hours then they told her that don’t change bandages. They did put clean ones on her though and because she did a good job of changing her own bandage they said do it again and don’t come back to the hospitaly next door neighbour as got a car so now I have to reverse in between two cars. Not done that since I passed my driving test.

Hemmy- there’s alot of rubbish info & recipes online for keto, if your neighbour is seriously wanting to do keto you need to keep under 20g carbs every day to get into ketosis, & stick to that for 6-8 weeks to adjust properly, alot of recipes online are low carb & not proper keto, even Michael Moseley’s ones… There’s a forum called The 2 Keto Dudes which is really informative. Finished fasting now, 72 hours, had some avocado which is supposed to be good to break with, bacon & egg shortly. Not so nice here today, cloudy & very chilly! Done our food shopping, saw Mum & have done some cleaning as I’ve done more in the garden with the nice weather .

I joined Barbara for lunch, nice catch up. I went out in a summer dress and sandals I was absolutely freezing!!!
Decorating has started ..downstairs cloakroom first, so fiddly and tight to get the steps in I have to be careful. Ceiling painted, tiles taken off and wall filled, new tiles on and grouted today. Hopefully walls painted tomorrow, 2 coats will be needed.

It was cloudy & cold first thing, so we decided not to go out for the day, I took Xena for a river walk a bit further away, she found a muddy ditch again! We cut down the other big hebe bush in the front, a bit annoyed as hubby said we could get the stumps out, but now decided they’re too big, so it looks a bit messy, I might try a local gardener lad to see if he can do it. Had a normal eating day today…
I played really well at bowls, Won 21-14against a good player. It will be even harder tomorrow and all next week. We play all the best teams. Got an email from trading standards, they said they would read all the stuff I sent them then get back to me. I have also enquired about having a reversing camera fitted to my car.

Its going to be a lovely day again.. 21deg forecast the next two days,
It is going to be just a lazy day for me as yesterday was a long but enjoyable one.
Lovely shop and lunch sitting outside a café watching the world go by. So pleased as I got a “Super Dry ” brand quilted coat just like new.. beautifully fitted lots of detail to good for walking I think. It was £20 and retails at £99 .. plus of course lots of candles. We are not going to be caught out with last years numerous power cuts
Just weighed and weight is stable.. I seem to now be having breakfast at 8am .. then lunch between 2 and 3 nothing after that other than a large cup of milky Ovaltine or Horlicks during early evening. .. Cutting of any water etc after 7pm. I am aiming for 6pm cut off. So its got me back interested in a challenge. lolol
Now up to 2 1/2 pints of water aiming for the recommended 3 for a woman.
That’s my plan anyway lolol see how I do on it.

Good morning everyone, another beautiful day today. Just put my sun cream on. I’ll take Chloe out then off to Sainsbury’s for shopping. Bowling this afternoon.I think when I can get some motivation we will decorate the kitchen first, more room in there for the paste table. Them I can buy my new microwave/airfrier combo and a new bread bin and matching tea coffee and sugar tubs. Nobody as sugar in the house so don’t know what will go in it.

We went out to the coast yesterday, the weather was beautiful, nice to have a change of scenery. Resisted all chips, ice cream etc. Popped to see youngest today, his course sounds really tough but he’s enjoying it. Took Mum out this afternoon to a shopping barn place, garden & house things & delis, very expensive but I love window shopping there! Mum’s not been out all week, says she’s too old to be walking about, not got any energy, she told me sister it’s because she’s 88- she isn’t!! She enjoyed it though, will try & get her out to more places but she won’t often come! Food been low today again…

A village walk, it’s been a lovely day.
I did another coat of emulsion it looks much better now. I went out looking for a vase, I found one in a bric a brac shop, a 60 year old German vase, different blue’s, cream, it’s quite nice, I bought a towel from Tesco’s to match.
Sat out for a little while with the boy, walked out and when I came back I did the gloss so it’s all finished now.
Need some new photo frames and a new blind to finish off… utility room next.
I am surprised how tired I am, surely it’s just not age I feel quite fit really.
Going to see Jacqui tomorrow they are back from their holiday.

Jean I’m going to Haworth, member been there but can go on days out from there. You’ll have to stamp my passport for entering into Yorkshire.Hemmy we have watched all the Agatha Raisin TV series very good. The man I played at bowls is there best player, he only lost 4 games all last season. And I could very well end up playing him again in two weeks time. He plays for a few different teams. Think the weather will change today it’s sunny at the moment but there are dark clouds about.I am also well away from the coast but it’s probably a good thing in my case because when I am at the seaside I eat like a horse.

I don’t mind the rain when bowling, it slows the green down which suits me. We have 4 extremely difficult games coming up.Denise as got an appointment on 9th May for her knee, but I doubt they will do anything because of her lymphoma.Not had much rain just a few drops so far but the barometer as moved to stormy. Do expect rain and plenty of it.

Been a strange day, did a few pottering about jobs inside & out, don’t feel like I’ve worked too hard, feels like it’s been quite a long day though! Spoke to my Aunt, she’s having surgery tomorrow for some skin cancer, she’s got to have a skin graft. My Uncle is doing a bit better with his Parkinson’s though.
Fasted today, aiming for another long one… youngest son will have his passing out parade early June, so an incentive to keep on track!

I think I will cook a small joint of beef to have hot then cold for the weekend. am not interested at all in Buns or chocolate.. isn’t it weird that happens when I dont have wine. Over 3 month s now. Its definitely addictive..re sugar

Morning everyone a very wet and cold start to the day. We had a curry night with our Newmarket friends last night and it was raining heavily as I drove us home, we got home at half past one this morning, however, I still woke up at the same time. I’ll be feeling it later on
A lovely evening spent with friends and it definitely wasn’t my usual 1300 calories for yesterday.
Managed to lose a half a pound last week.
Hemmy I’d ideally like to lose three stones but would settle for two and a half. Yes Geraldine has been out quite a lot recently with all of the lovely weather that we had.
Hedgehogs I’m getting on really well with my hearing aids ,I hadn’t realised just how bad my hearing had got. My hearing had never been as good since I lost my hearing and voice totally for two days due to having Covid.Whilst having my hearing test done i mentioned this to the girl doing my test and she said that she’d had quite a few people mention it happening to them after having Covid 
My grandson works at Vision Express who sadly don’t do hearing testing, so I used Specsavers who are really good.
Jean well done on the decorating not a favourite thing to be done in our home as we hate the upheaval of it all.
Dave hope Denise is getting on a bit better, we met a friend of yours yesterday whilst we were out and she has lymphodema and has to keep going to Addenbrookes Hospital for it to be checked on. She’s got herself a blue badge for herself which helps with parking at places as she’s unable to walk very far. Maybe Denise is entitled to having one.
We’re going to be off on holiday Monday to Friday of next week to Heacham ,another one of our favourite Norfolk places to go.
Will try to remember to come on here before we go away.

Nana I’ll look into that a blue badge would be very handy for Denise.I don’t think she will be able to have her knee done while she got lymphoedema and that’s for ever I think. See what they say at hospital on may when she goes there.Bought a dash cam so been watching how to hide all the cables on YouTube. Better go and pick her up now.Waiting for a delivery from Amazon, bet they come while I’m out. Hope they don’t leave it on the step.

Fasted through until just now, have been cleaning & decided I need some energy! Cleaned under the settee & chairs. Saw my sister this morning, we went out for coffee, soaked on my walk with Xena before that. Seeing a friend for coffee tomorrow as well as shopping. Mum’s coming for dinner Good Friday, seeing eldest on Thursday, nothing planned for Resurrection Sunday yet…

I quite enjoy decorating as you say everywhere’s a mess… I have popped the stuff back in the garage as I have stopped for a few days.

We have to go for an assessment here for a blue badge.. they have cameras outside to see how you walk and if you need help. Steve had to walk up and down the corridor..

Good evening, not had much rain here thankfully. The dashcams are not any help for reversing,I have sensors on the car and surprisingly I’ve managed to reverse between two cars very comfortably. The pictures are great and I can send them from the car to my phone without taking the card out of the camera.
