  • Hemmy I’m thinking of a new year’s resolution,I never do them but I might do a list like yours, sound a good idea.If I could tick one thing off the list each time I’ve done it. I’m hoping to have lost weight on November 6th. The sun is out today much better than yesterday. It will make a change to go for a dry walk, got soaked three times yesterday.

Good morning everyone very quiet on here. A nice sunny day after lots of rain.Should get dry walks today,I was getting webbed feet.šŸ¤šŸ„.Chloe is by my side as usual,I must be a dog whisperer šŸ˜‚. Better take her out now.

Morning everyone, a lovely sunny one after a misty start.
Hope everyone on here are keeping well.
Was please to see a loss of three pounds when I stood on the scales this morning.
The funeral on Wed was a lovely tribute and celebration of her life. Was nice to catch up with some of mum’s old friends but their numbers are sadly declining.
Will carry on with the daily 18:6 1300 calories as it seems to be working for me ot it might be due to the fact that I’ve not had any alcohol since last Friday šŸ˜‰
Indian takeaway this evening and my turn to drive.
    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Good afternoon everyone Xxxx

A welcome dry sunny day here but rather chilly.. at least dry.

Pip and I had a lovely walk with MaryAnn and little Wes ..he has bucked up had not been well and worrying at 13 yrs .. These dogs are so very resilient and seem to bounce back.

I have lost a pound of the 2lbs gained this week so I am happy with that..

Well Done Nana on losing the 3lbs.. brilliant.

H H .. hope your Mum got sorted easily with her legal stuff…. hopefully she can relax now.

Dave… I think a todo list is a good idea if you do it lolol I am being lazy this week I cant seem to get going.
I am rereading a book called Atomic Habits.. It suggests a stacking system in your mind .. You stack things to b eone daily one after the other so in the end its automatic..getting things done . I just need to get started again. lolol Try it.

Sym .. hope all is well with you Xx

Have a afternoon everyone.. ā€œYouā€™re only given a little spark of madness. You mustnā€™t lose it.ā€ Xxxx

    Evening All..
Sorry been busy having lunches out two days on the trot and am meeting Jacqui tomorrow..
I must try hard next week no weigh in for me.

I am going for my pre cataract assessment on the 30th, I canā€™t believe how my eyes have deteriorated. I struggled driving to meet my friend yesterday on the motorway. I am legal to drive but felt strange. I shall only drive local from now.
I canā€™t read my book. I struggle on the phone, I have it heavy black print but not everything comes through on the heavy writing. Itā€™s making feel a bit off with myself.

    Dave..
Nice and dry here the last few days but high tides today, a lot of paddling through deep puddles.

    Nana..
Well done on 3lbs off.. glad the funeral was as good as can be, people dwindle as we all get older quite sad really.

    Hemmy..
Well done on you 2 lbs offā€¦ I am struggling at the moment.
I have bought screws to mend my decking, I thought it might be rotten but the guy at the builder merchant said itā€™s all treated so shouldnā€™t be rotten. I must put the battery on charge for the drill and see if the screws work.

    Have a good weekend everyone

    Evening!
Jean- not good with your eyes, you need to be able to drive šŸ¤— Have a good lunch out tomorrow, hope your daughter has a good weekend off…good luck fixing the decking tomorrow.
Nana- excellent losing 3lbs so quickly! Sad about the funeral, but your Mum’s friend must’ve been a good age…enjoy your takeaway!
Hemmy- well done getting a pound off already! Glad that Pip’s friend is better…I’ve not read the Atomic Habits book, but heard it’s good!
Dave- hope you get some more dry days! Did you make the onion gravy for Denise from scratch?
Got Mum’s stuff sorted, she moaned alot about it all but it’s her idea! We saw youngest yesterday, he’d been to a house fire, the neighbours thought there might’ve been children in the house so they had to search it, luckily they were all out…Took a neighbour to A&E to get her plaster checked after she’s broken her arm, sat for 5 hours, it only needed someone to have a quick peek! Impromptu FD though as I had no dinner! Gave the kitchen a good clean as I had a haircut today, have to tidy up now she comes here! Feeling quite tired, had a late night…

HH yes I make the onion gravy from scratch, Dry here at the moment but cloudy. It’s still quite warm though,14Ā°C at the moment. Nothing planned for today my daughter is sending me photos from New York, she’s going on a tour of the city and central park today.

Good afternoon everyone is been pouring down all day so kept putting off Chloe’s walk, had to go in the end and fortunately it stopped rainingšŸ˜‚.Chloe is actually in her bed at the moment she’s usually by my side on the sofa. I’ve been struggling lately, fed up of dieting but still doing it. I think at Christmas this year I don’t buy any beer, just have the biggest dairy milk bar I can findšŸ˜‹. Denise still can hardly walk, she’s using a walking stick and holding on to anything she can just to get around. She is sleeping upright on the sofa every night because she can’t get up the stairs. Need to win the lottery and get a bungalow.

    Afternoon Allā€¦
Managed a dry walk the rain was late arrivingā€¦been raining since I got backā€¦

I donā€™t feel to good with myself really.. struggling to read. I made some scones, Charlieā€™s veggies.. I donā€™t really know what to do.

    Hedgehog.,
Had you got your mum sorted out. Jacqui has printed off the POA itā€™s there when I can go through it.

    Dave..
Hope the rains stopped for you. Poor Denise she is in a bad way I feel for herā€¦

    Jean x

    Good afternoon everyone.. Xxxx

Its been a very wet morning.. we got soaked walking. It looks brighter now so hopefully a dry afternoon and the storm has finished here.

Just had a sandwich .. not sure what to have this evening… maybe eggs chips and beans.

H H .. you are always busy if you are feeling tired best to try to get some rest..as if you pick up a cold etc its hard to shake off now with the temps lowering and so very damp.

Dave.. Poor Denise and a worry for you… A friend who worked for Drs told me years ago .. that those that shouted loudest got things done. If she is not getting sleep that will wear her down even more.

Sym…I feel for you…would a big magnifying glass help. When things go wrong or not feeling well it s harder when alone I find now.. Xx

Hopefully this storm will soon clear and. the sun will appear. .

Take care every one…Tomorrow is another day. Xx

    Hemmy..
Bright blue skies off walking soon.
Watched a film about Grace Kelly an ok watch.

No idea what to eat tonight something easyā€¦ I had a bacon butty for lunch and a large scone so not very hungry.

    Hope your days been fine.

    Jean x

Hemmy the weight loss program I’m on recommended Atomic Habits. I’ve got it on my phone but not read it yet. Struggling to get back into reading, I read quite a lot when I was working. The sun is trying to get out but it’s cloudy, not cold though.

    Good afternoon everyone.. Xxxx

It s a dry day but the promised sun forecast hasn’t arrived here yet.

I am trying to get back to proper meals from today not just bits and pieces..which has left feeling tired.

Chili mince from the freezer out and will be on a jacket potato with some broad beans.

Just cleaned my brass before having lunch .. not my favourite job.lolol

Out on Wednesday lunch and shopping with Chris.

Sym.. I wish I could get into watching films and tv .. I seem to just spend my evenings on my lap top. .. flicking rubbish really. lol

Dave… I think if you can get into it that Atomic Habits is good I did it a few yrs ago and then forgot it till recently .. .. I also try to write 6 extra todo things down everyday … carry them over to the next day if not done on to . next days.. The brass had been on my list for days so today no lunch till done. lol.

H H .. and Nana What are you doing today.

    Enjoy your afternoon everyone..

    Age can wrinkle the
    body, but the beauty
    of the heart remains

We watch lots of TV, it’s on virtually all day and night. Lots of crime shows,I did enjoy the programme about canal boats and things like that. They do a cafe on the canal like Jean goes to. Will try it in the summer, they’re is another boat that does pizza. We watch lots of sport on TV as well. From football to cycling.

    Evening!
Jean- rotten for you not being able to read very well, I hope you don’t have to wait too long for the cataract to be done .. sending you hugs šŸ¤—
Mum has signed the will & POA, it has to be sent off as the original one has to be cancelled, but she doesn’t have to do anything else now, so she’s calmed down now!
Dave- keep strong, you’ve done so well with the diet, it is hard going when you’ve been on it a long while. & poor Denise, she does sound bad…a dog walker told us about a pen thing like a tens machine which has really helped her knee, Kevin was thinking about getting one for his shoulder, I can’t imagine they help with really bad arthritis though…did she ever try the CBD oil?
Hemmy- you look after yourself too, eat well! 6 things on a list to do every day sounds alot šŸ˜³ A couple on top of normal jobs will do me! Today’s were getting a couple of recipes written down, & sewing up a throw which has split…
    Nana- hope you’re okay xx
We were on call to take a neighbour in to hospital for her arm op today, messed her about a bit so hubby has just left now to take her in. Dropped washing off & brookies I’d made to son as he has a cake fine, did a bit of shopping – saw a couple of tops I liked in a charity shop, but they were Ā£10! I refuse to pay that, it’s just being greedy! Got 2 books instead…I resisted the brookies, that was tough, there are a couple of pieces left here for hubby, but the keto cheese scones I made yesterday are very nice.

    Good afternoon everyone. Xxxx

Its a lovely sunny autumn day here today .. lovely for walking through the coloured leaves. .

A line full of washing nearly dry..just going out in the garden to sweep more leaves.

A lovely lunch of crusty bread and brae..not sure what to have this evening.

Dave… I listen to radio 2 all the time… I feel I know the presenters personally lolol I love all music.

H H .. Lol I dont do the 6 things on the list 2 at the most.. Carry them forward.. lol
Some charity shops have really upped their prices.. while others are still reasonable. I dont mind if its a designer label and good condition though.

    Sym…What are you doing today.

Nana is it out to lunch today

Must try and glam up a bit later .. out shopping and lunch to Leamington Spa tomorrow with Chris.

Enjoy your afternoon everyone..Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” Xxxx

I would never buy second hand clothes, Prefer paying for new quality stuff.I will need to buy lots of shirts and jeans because they are all easy to big for me now. But I’ll wait and see if I lose any more weight first.Radio 2 is like radio 1 was in the 60s,I have gold radio on in my car and have Spotify on my phone I get it because my son likes it, he as it on at work. A beautiful sunny day today nice to have dry walks.

    Evening!
Hemmy- have a lovely lunch & day out tomorrow! Nice to get the washing dry outside, just to damp in our garden this time of year… You had me worried with 6 jobs a day šŸ˜‚
Dave- that’s going to cost you, a whole new wardrobe! How is Denise doing with her diet, or is she in too much pain to diet, she must be miserable enough without being hungry on top?
Hope everyone else is okay šŸ„°
Up early this morning in case the plumber came- we can’t get our waste pipe from the kitchen sink properly unblocked, it’s too low down, but he never came, hopefully he’ll pop in tomorrow now, he’s so busy. Rang HomeStart family, & another friend, Xena went to the vets for her booster & have got some apoquel to calm her itchiness, just a seasonal allergy we think but it’s been going on longer. Doing 18:6 at the moment, weight stable…

    Morning All..
Waiting to meet with Oreo and Natalie, cows have gone so going on our usual river side walk which is out of my village.

I had a good fast day Monday and a busy day yesterday.
I repaired my decking I think it is a bit rotten on the side but much better now. Might be new decking in the spring unless I can push it.

    Dave..
My TV is on most of the day more for noise then it gets turned off for some peace.. you canā€™t win.
I buy bits from charity shops if itā€™s good bargain or kitchen bits.

    Hemmy..
The list sounds good.. I did think of a wipe board but never got round to doing it.
My eyes are making me feel off they are gritty and itchy. Itā€™s hard to come on my phone to see.

    Hedgehog..
You must do 24 jobs a day!!!!
Good luck on your plumber hope he gets to you.
When I got my Covid jabs my doctor did it.. he does a 24 hour fast on a Monday , says how good it is for you. Still he is very slim. He was telling me well done, I havenā€™t been to surgery for 10 years since I started fasting. Nice to see and have a chat with him.

    Jean x

When I had my heart attack they said in hospital that fasting was good for me, Denise gained half a pound this week so it’s not happy, she’s not getting any better and I’m sick of telling her to see the doctor, she’s so stubborn. The sun is out so going bowling this afternoon give Denise chance to catch-up on her soaps. She’s ordered sausage and mash with onion gravy for tea so I must make it ok. Have the cows gone for the winter now Jean?

    Daveā€¦
Cows all gone now.. itā€™s a bit early .. lovely to have more walking areas..
    X

Ordered a jacket for Chloe it says in large letters NERVOUS and is bright yellow. It’s waterproof and warm on the inside so I’ll take her out in it when I’ve had my cuppa.

I took her out in her coat but didn’t meet anyone šŸ™„šŸ™„. Hopefully people will give her a wide berth.

    Evening!
Dave- good idea to have a jacket for Chloe, hopefully people won’t try to stroke her… Poor Denise, hard for her but hard for you too seeing her in pain & she won’t go back to the doctor’s. Hubby gets a bit stubborn too, he won’t try stronger painkillers…
Jean- sounds as if some eye drops might help if yours are gritty & itchy, maybe talk to your chemist? Sounds all a bit rotten for you šŸ¤— Well done getting the decking done!
Hemmy- hope you had a good day out…
Nana- have you had your Wednesday lunch out today?
Plumber did come, found a blockage way down the pipe, he had to take it all to bits & then hoovered it out šŸ¤¢ Did our shopping today, neighbour rang while we were in Tesco’s as she’s been discharged from hospital so picked her up too, felt for her dropping her off, she’s on her own with no family (like the other one who broke her elbow), but she’s very independent & likes her own company…she said she’s never had surgery so not bad first op at 75 I suppose!
Stomach playing up again, might be a trip to the doctor’s soon, too many things upsetting it!

    Good morning everyone..Xxxx

Its a misty start here so hopefully a lovely autumn day. Its so very pretty with the golden/red leaves. everywhere.

It was a lovely day yesterday although tiring as its out early walking first before you go.

A lovely lunch .then charity shops.. I never found a thing Chris found lots of stuff but thats how it goes. She is nearly 6ft tall and I am 5ft 4ins lol so we like different things which is good. Anyway we are now going to venture to Stratford upon Avon on Monday .. one of my favourite places.

Back to eating sensibly these last few days and not eaten any rubbish.. When shopping i must stock up on nuts.. Tasty filling and good for you.

Dave… I bet Chloe loves her new warm coat..

HH You are such a good neighbour yours are very fortunate to have you. Good you got your drain don e.. things like that always a worry .

Sym.. I think having the list keeps me on track of things that need to be done .. When there is two of you what one doesnt do the other one does..
Sounds like you did a good job on your decking… these type of jobs cost silly money to get done by a trade.

Have good day everyone.. Try to do things that make you happy today. Xxxx

Good morning everyone the sun is out again. I bought a digital thermometer and it tells you the temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit and also the humidity. It also gives you the minimum and maximum temperature. The coldest our living room as been this month is 20Ā°C so not too bad. I’ll put Atomic Habits on my kindle I’ll transfer it from my phone. The hard part is reading it.I got there Bowel cancer kit yesterday so I’ll take Chloe out and post it off.

    Evening All..
Good walk this morning I seem to be getting 70 mins in, which is good. We saw Natalie and Oreo again.

Ironing and a bit of cooking for Charlie for the freezer. Spoke to Steveā€™s sister she can talk šŸ˜‚ passed a hourā€¦

    Dave..
Coat sounds good for Chloe. More gadgets bought!

    Hedgehog..
I shall be at the hospital on Wednesday, they donā€™t want you to use anything, thereā€™s a doā€™s and dontā€™s list, so I will wait for eye drops.
Glad the plumber has sorted things out, my kitchen drain isnā€™t the best, my plunger usually sorts it.

    Hemmyā€¦
We have a misty start tomorrow it does make for a damp walk. The trees are all looking lovely with all their colours, the farmers have all the fields ploughed and raked down ready for sowing again. Cows in for the winter.
These years do go around quick .
You sound as if you have had a good day, Stratford is something to look forward to.

    Jean x

    Evening!
Hemmy- good you had a nice trip out & that you have another one planned…I’ve never been to Stratford on Avon, it looks lovely!
Jean- the eye drops I use are just lubricating ones, but if you’ve been told not to, fair enough…hope you don’t have to wait for treatment, it’s not nice not being able to read šŸ¤—
Dave- hope your bowel test is all fine šŸ¤ž
Busy day, Xena rolled in something so needed a bath when we got back, saw my friend for a cuppa, then got some plants for tubs from the garden centre & planted them all up, it was a lovely day so nice doing that in the sun…

I like Stratford we had a picnic by the river, then walked round and looked at Shakespeare’s house. Chloe Lind good in her coat, it’s almost as if she’s at the track. Easy to see her at night. My broadband is good now from EE, faster than virgin was. I enjoyed the cottage pie I made but Denise didn’t like it. I put salt and pepper in it, think that’s what put her off. She dosent use condiments apart from salt and vinegar on chips.

Good afternoon everyone rain predicted but not arrived yet. Just about to put Atomic Habits on my old kindle. If I can remember how to do it.Salad for tea tonight so being a good boy. Time to take Chloe out before the rain comes.

I’ve put Atomic Habits on my old kindle and have read a few pages. See how I go with it.Had my salad, taste nice but I always feel hungry after eating it.

    Evening!
The Atomic Habits book sounds good … I started a new list today with a few jobs carried over, & few I knew I could get done today šŸ˜‚
Shame Denise doesn’t like the cottage pie Dave.
Went out for lunch today, warm enough to sit outside by the river. Had smoked fish platter, no bread, & no dessert.
Have a good weekend everyone šŸ˜Š

    Good evening everyone.. Xxxx

Its been a dry dull day here. and very busy for me..

Walked early then went shopping… came back and the guy rang and said he could trim my big conifers today as he had had a cancellation.

Soo went out in the garden helping with the trimmings.. all looking lovely .. Thank goodness they only have to be done once a year.

I had put on 2 lbs this week on todays weigh in. .. I have had a fair bit of sweet stuff..so not really suprised lolol… .. From Monday sweet things are banned i wont buy any.. If I havnt got it in I cant eat it lol.

Actually though its good to just eat what you fancy sometimes..
    .
Whats everyone been doing today.. enjoy your evening..Xxxx Saturday evening is time to relax .. Xxxx

    Evening!
Hemmy- good getting the conifers done! I agree you should have some treats if you fancy them, I’m sure you’ll soon get those 2lbs off!
    Dave- watching sport today?
Jean- hope you can find enough to do if you can’t read…are you playing boules at all?
Xena was a pain when we walked today, she nearly pulled me off my feet so we had a walking to heel lesson, she’s just so excited so took ages to just go a short way til it was safe to let her off! Then realised a man was sitting in his car watching us the whole time, quite embarrassing! Saw mum this afternoon, she’s getting worse again, trying to sort things out, insisting that she likes clearing out but then getting stressed & muddled up, so quite hard work…Hope tomorrow is better šŸ˜‚

I may go for a bar of chocolate or cake tomorrow, been fancying cake for weeks. Not got weighed for a couple of weeks, another two to go before I do.Watching D I Ray at the moment, on the third episode.

    Morning Allā€¦
What a beautiful day had a really long walk on the river bank, a few dog walkers about having a chat as we go. Beautiful blue sky and not coldā€¦

Just had breakfast and I am going to finish with toast and marmalade.

    Hedgehog..
I might have a go at doing the to do list thing..
I am not doing boules or reading at the moment. I struggle with the phone too. Itā€™s strange with a few people around the table, I feel odd. I am only driving local at the moment. No fun at all.
I have fits and starts having heel walking, itā€™s good to remind him. What annoys me the most is swapping sides all the time!

    Dave..
Itā€™s nice to have a few treats sometimesā€¦when is your weigh in day?
    Shame on the cottage pie.

    Hemmy..
Good you got your trees trimmed, it will look tidy and smart.
The 2lbs will soon come off.. I think as long as you know were the problem is, itā€™s not a problem..
    Nice to have a treat.

Nothing much planned for today..a bit of a hoover I have walked mudd in !!

    Jean x

The cottage pie was nice, Denise dosent like salt or pepper, I think that put her off.My weigh-in is the 6th of November so it will be a month without going near the scales. Having rice pudding tonight so that will be the chocolate substitute.

    Afternoon!
Jean- very hard for you at the moment šŸ¤— we had a lovely river bank walk today too, quite early so not many people out…
Dave- rice pudding, yuk! I hope you have a good weigh in, should be fine if you’re fitting into smaller clothes & your bowling friends have noticed!
Hemmy- hope you’ve had the good weather today too…
Out for a couple of hours with Xena, she was much better behaved today! Just a lazy afternoon reading after Church, doing roast beef for hubby tonight, I’m trying a new keto recipe for roast cabbage steaks, they have cheese on top, Dave’s favourite! Xena will enjoy some beef, & my dinner too probably!

šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®hate cheese, yet my favourite crisps are cheese and onion šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜‚.Having lamb steaks for tea so done Chloe chicken breasts for her tea, she will have mash and peas with it. Lamb is my favourite.

    Good afternoon /evening Xxxx

Its been a lovely sunny day but at 4pm was already getting darker .. Oh I don’t fancy winter at all
A lazy day here just got my outfit together for Stratford tomorrow ..

At the moment not looking forward to it as my arthritis in my legs has started already with the dampness . they feel achy.

Sooo I have been researching and come up with a woman that really made a difference to her life by changing her diet. At first I thought it was selling something but it is not. This is what she said…

” The diet had an almost immediate response. Within two weeks Iā€™d gone from severe pain, taking Ibuprofen every day, to a slight ache that I could manage without painkillers. I have lived without wheat, sugar, and alcohol ever since and now focus on eating fresh, unprocessed foods ā€“ meat, fish, vegetables, pulses and dairy.

When I eat out, I know if dishes contain a hidden trace of sugar or gluten as my back will be on fire with pain. If I cook meatballs, Iā€™ll do some pasta for Mark but just have more meat and veg myself. Although itā€™s easy to avoid sugar itself, itā€™s also produced in the body by eating too much potato and rice, so Iā€™ve had to drastically limit how much I have. Intermittent fasting is meant to be good for beating inflammation, so Iā€™ve introduced that too, and while Iā€™ve not lost any weight, Iā€™m fitter and healthier, and crucially, Iā€™m not in pain. Nothing would tempt me back to my old ways. If Iā€™m offered a slice of cake, I just see pain.”

I thought it interesting.. so I am going to try it in stages..I am just drinking my last wine this evening… a ready meal from the freezer macoroni cheese .. and some mini apple pies..

So from tomorrow no alcohol at all .. and will gradually get myself off processed stuff completely .. Really as I have said before its eating the old way. ..

Will be interesting to see if it helps my aches. Anyone else fancy it?

Nana … hope all is well in your world

Dave… Ohh rice pudding .. yummy my Gran made wonderful rice puddings she put nutmeg in them.. Do you think you have lost weight this time weigh in.

HH Ohh roast beef dinner for hubby how can you resist lolol. Bless Xena for being well behaved today..

Sym.. What are you having today for dinner.. I am dreaming of Roast beef and all the trimmings.like I made when Andrew was here.

Take care everyone…. Sunday was Granny’s day of rest .. although she cooked a big lunch and had made Jelly and blancmange for tea Xxxx

    Daveā€¦
A couple of weeks for weigh inā€¦ rice pudding not for meā€¦

    Hedgehogā€¦
I love the river bank on these lovely days so quiet and peacefulā€¦

    Hemmyā€¦
Chicken, stuffing and lots of small roast potatoes for me with cranberry sauce.. tasty

    Afternoon!
Hemmy- I think I saw that story too, or a similar one…I do notice with keto the aches & pains have eased alot, except for my neck. Don’t eat any processed food now as it all has too many carbs but didn’t have that much before. I think it is different for each of us what our bodies are sensitive to, alot of people are sensitive to dairy but I can’t give that up on keto…No problem for me not eating beef, I never liked it! hope you had a good day out today!
Jean- your chicken sounded nice yesterday! Still quite mild here too…have a good FD!
Dave- you seem to enjoy cooking so would be much healthier for you if you did more from scratch…
Nana- hope you’re okay, still doing IF?
Took mum out today to get her hearing aids sorted, run out of tips for them & I was having trouble changing them, was worried I’d broken one, they’re so fiddly, but all okay. Are yours like that Dave? She needs her ears syringing again & a hearing test as well so a few appointments, she didn’t want to go because it was raining, made her go as things have to be done! Saw son this afternoon, he’s still waiting to hear after his fire service interview, they said it might take a few weeks, it’s been 2. Still doing 2 meals a day & IF, doing okay with that.

    Good morning everyone. Xx

Its a dull day but very mild .. a good day for the washing line.

It was a lovely day yesterday . but tiring.. I do so love Stratford upon Avon .. oh so very pretty .. and steeped in history. We found some nice buys at the charity shops always good quality stuff there.. A bit pricy but good labels.

Weighed this morning and had lost a pound so 2lb to go .. No wine and no savoury or sweet treats now…. Its funny as I feel better already today .. I never slept well though as in and out of the loo .. I must have been retaining water ..

I feel quite excited again with the diet ..I must be careful though as I don’t want to go any lower in weight .. I need to stay strong I don’t want to get frail. lol you cant win.

Nana .. hope all is well with you.

Dave.. Try some batch cooking and freeze.. You can make a chilli and cottage pie just adjusting the spices .

H H I do think processed foods are really not good us.. all these numbers extra they put .. goodness knows what it is that goes into them.

Sym… How are you managing re your eyes.. Can you read with a magnifying glass I have 2 big ones bought as a pair on amazon.. Keep one up and the other down stairs. Labels are soo tiny now. The riverbank walk sounds lovely..

Enjoy your day everyone. ” Eat for the body we want not the body we have.Xx

    Afternoon Allā€¦
A lovely day here made the most of walking in dry weather..

Hospital appointment Wednesday so I will be walking about 5.30 just around the village and to our village green were it has street lights possibly about 40 mins.. he is going to Fays house while she takes me her hubby will be with him. Leaving home at 7.15 am.

    Hedgehog..
Hope thereā€™s good news about your sons job soon..
Katie has applied for a job but 10 years out of work will be hard to get back in to. She had to do a video ant home, answering 4 questions they asked on screen, she had to dress corporate and video in a thoughtful light area! I said she did well to get to the first stage of an interview. She said she spoke to fast/ and sheā€™s English. Next will be role play!! If she gets through.

    Hemmy..
The magnifying glass wouldnā€™t work as itā€™s not the size as itā€™s all blurryā€¦ I feel odd around people even at the supermarket better at home on my own, ok walking outside. See what they say tomorrow.
Stratford is so lovely, glad I have been a few times with Steve he took me to many places.

Afternoon everyone, a while since I’ve been on here. I keep forgetting to post. Can’t believe that we’re in the last week of October already. This year is flying by.
We’re going to Lowestoft tomorrow for a couple of days to celebrate the fact that it’s sixteen years on Thursday since my OH retired. This will be our last trip away this year. Hopefully starting next Monday I’ll be able to have some consistent weeks of losing weight towards Christmas.
I find 18:6 1300 calories daily is still working for me so shall continue to do so after my return.
Went and did a shop Aldi yesterday and couldn’t believe how much Christmas stuff was on the shelves – it’s to soon.
Hope everyone is keeping well and I’ll try to post daily from Monday if I remember šŸ¤—

    Evening!
Jean- ugh, an early start for you, glad that Fay will take you through. Hope they can fit you in quickly! My friend I saw today, her MIL was staying for a few days, she has just had one eye done, she said it was okay & she can see better now … Fingers crossed for Katie with the job, hope she can fit it in with all the running around she does for the ‘children’!
Hemmy- I think you’re sensible to keep an eye on your weight & not go too low, hope the new way of eating suits you …
Nana- just seen the first Christmas advert on TV, & like you say, so much stuff in the shops already. Hope you have a lovely break away, it’ll be busy with half term! Good that you are finding watching the calories & IF are working for you.
Dave- hope the weather is okay for a while so you can keep doing the bowling practice. Not like you, you’ve not posted today?
Rang my HomeStart family early, was up early so had time to walk Xena first. Saw my friend I usually dog walk with, her ankle is still healing so can’t go out yet, nice to catch up though. Did a beginner HIIT workout today, I’d like to get fitter!
