    A very bright day in our household this morning!

    Well weigh in this morning…after the holiday first morning back I weigh in 7 lb up ..nearly died..this morning 1 pound up..so pleased at that so pulled back 6lbs In 10 days!

    Hubby doing cartwheels this morning and with his bad knees….2lbs off….he is so very pleased..he has been in the garage working on his motorbike and I think with the all the extra bending and stretching its got him moving.

    We have had a good solid FDs and a few 30 min walking sessions as well this week.

    Dee..you have also done well with 2 lb off…a really well done. X

    Hemmy..a good shopping day with Mum as always..hoping her walking stick behaved! X

    Not able to fast because I need to eat with the tablets I am on…. am trying to be good and are managing until evening then the call of sweeties and chocolate is getting to me!

    I have been considering perhaps doing slimming world for a couple of weeks with semi fasts thrown in? What do you think? Any help and advice welcome

    Just remember a fast is only 1 day, keep saying to yourself ” tomorrow I can eat”…

    Count your calories fast days and non fast ones too at first. A lot of us on here use my fitness pal it is a good help with calories…. shout out if you need any help, good luck on your journey….don’t forget to weigh and measure yourself before you start, sometimes we lose inches and not lbs…. the fadt diet tracker is good for this, just on the right hand side of this page at the top….

    Audrey…I wouldn’t worry about the 5lbs I think it will move quickly when you get back on track again …like us after the holiday. Try and eat mindfully and try without the naughties at night…you don’t need them. Just look after yourself and get better. X

    Welcome Anita…the 5.2 works. Plan ahead for meals and measure once a month, bust, waist, hips and thighs and keep a record and weigh yourself. Lots of information on here we all try and help and support each other. X

    I haven’t taken any tranquilisers today, my back seems to out of spasm! …. I have walked on the treadmil for 30 mins. Then I have sat down and worked out my food for the day.

    I am having a milky coffee, made with half water half milk for lunch and also one for supper,

    I am having smoked river cobbler with potatoes and vegetables for my evening meal, it comes to 437 kcal.

    I am not having chocolate buttons, fruit and nut, sweeties or rich tea biscuits. … today. …

    I have given myself a good talking too, I can do this one day at a time, this year I am going to get to ideal weight on my bmi chart…. and I will do this with the help and support of all my good friends, I will not let myself or any of you down!

    5lbs not to bad when your unable to move around.

    I use to do slimming world and lost well on it but always put it all back on when I think back now about how many calories I was eating in a day it was frightening they say a lot of food is free but you eat pasta,potatoes,day in day out your tummy ain’t going to shrink and then you go on to eat more to fill you up.
    I would just count your cals until your back to your old self.

    Well done those who have lost 👍🏻 for those who are having a tough time don’t worry one indifferent week in the grand scheme of things is the tiniest of blips! Most of us are in this for the long haul not a short sprint!
    Eating day for me had a sort of treat a hell fire chicken pizza from muscle food, for those who don’t know muscle food it’s a fantastic company on line with some amazing deals on meat and other quirky stuff, not always the cheapest but they do have good offers!
    This pizza 10 inch for only 595 kcal and the macros are incredible for a pizza-
    68.6g protein
    18.9g carbs
    25.9g fat (of which 12.9g)
    6.3g fibre
    It’s obviously not a meat feast cheesy bites from Pizza Hut but pretty fine!
    I got a new cast iron casserole dish to try later, going to attempt yet another hairy bikers dish can’t think of the name at the moment but has braising steak, a bottle of ale carrots parsnips etc in! Hopefully be nice comes in at about 400 kcal per portion.

    Aud don’t fret about the 5lbs it will soon move when you are moving again. But please be careful .. I know you are ever so determined to get all the weight gone… I would stick with this we know it works long term.

    But, just think how far you have come since last year. Importantly best to feel well again. Yay our Aud is up and running again .. so good… BUT DONT DO ALL Cylinders Lol Xx

    Doing well today … Not at all hungry as yet. Going for a new cup of soup by Heinz .. minestrone less than 100 cals at 2pm .

    Then… I slice of toast with 2 eggs scrambled … 2 satsumas … and a banana.

    Never really count my cals on FDs just remember weight watchers etc…. Lol

    Car is better than it was thanks, doesn’t have a lot of oomph to pull away but fine once it gets going (sounds like me!).

    I love fruit and yoghurt but strawberries and melon are my favourites. I think frozen berries would have too many calories for a fast day. I also have hot rhubarb this is the lowest.

    Soup to eat in in an hour, when I get to Pams. I was busy today so didn’t need lunch.

    Well done Dee a great result. I would be skipping around the room at that.

    How pleased I am that you sound back to your normal self. I just made a surprise phone call to Jean in Spain. 🙂 like you she was really surprised.

    I agree with Jeans advice. The lbs will so go. By all means use slimming world recipes but calorie counting is probably best. They have some lovely looking recipes.

    Don’t forget soup if you want to do fast days. This will give you something that you can have smaller portions of 4 times a day. Or even 400gms which is a big bowl three or four times a day. Thus would come out at about 360 for homemade vegetable soup.

    Welcome to the thread. I agree with everything Audrey has said and also the advice Jean gave you about your email. Maybe put your email in your profile or Facebook link. That way you can choose to refuse people. There are some people who will try and sell you things. This is just for your protection. Also you may have other people that you wouldn’t want to be in contact with.

    The amount you have to lose is really achievable, just follow the rules. Also measure your neck (this seems strange but it is visceral fat there and shows when it is reducing) visceral fat wraps around your internal organs so neck and waist measurements are important.

    You will soon get to know everybody.

    How fantastic is your weight loss, I have often seen people who go on holiday lose that initial amount quickly, maybe food in transit as well but whatever the reason a brilliant outcome. Well done!!

    I love jacket potatoes and pasta, slimming world say you can eat as much of these if you want if you are on a green day. Not so….I put on weight.

    Thought I have a change to my FD today had porridge with honey, cinnamon for breakfast 99 cals- dinner scrambled egg and mushroom 97 cals and tea beans on toast 97 cals so three meals for under 300 cals might have 2 party rings later with a cuppa.

    How’s it going everyone.

    Having a really good easy day on FD so far. The Heinz minestrone cup of soup was lovely worth just under a 100 cals… thickish and plenty of taste.

    Kept busy today which was easy because of the sunshine. Just had my scrambled eggs … still have satsumas and a banana to have.

    Tried the banana before bed last night … curiosity .. Went off to sleep after reading one page of my book. ( may just have been tired after all yesterdays walking) lol Will see tonight.

    Hi Gine … so glad your car Is ok. I keep meaning to ask you .. do you eat breakfast. I had it in my mind you didn’t.

    I am considering cutting mine out completely. Feel so much more active on FD days with no breakfast.

    Always brought up that you need something warm inside you in the morning. Beginning to think like lots of other things its a myth .

    I’m doing ok thanks. I ate in the evening today. Soup a large bowl, some grapes about 10 and granary bread with an egg. Feeling hungry now though strangely. Maybe due to the slice of bread.

    Yes I skip breakfast as a rule, I am happy with a couple of large cups of tea, I have a late lunch and a late dinner. I always find that whenever I eat it starts to trigger hunger, so for me the later the better.

    A very good fast yesterday. Scales looking really good this morning. Thought that would be the case the amount of loo visiting during the night.

    Yesterday was a brilliant day .. so decided rather than make FD an issue with what to have… I am going to keep a tried and tested journal of my exact eating ..drinking timing on those days. If I can find about 6 really good easy .. tasty days that work well that will do me… for a while.

    Sometimes my choice hasn’t been so good and I cant afford for disappointment’s on those days. Its dangerous. Lolol

    We have a very cloudy morning here maybe won’t be as cold as late.

    After our good FW we usually have a very very loose Friday, celebrating I suppose to then get back on track for the next week. Homemade beef and potato pie last night, a promised pie ( maybe a carrot 😅)for one of hubbys favouite meals.. then 2 glasses of Merlot to finish ..lovely.

    Then the downfall later a large box of smarties for me, a large bag of chocolate buttons for hubby…half pint of milk each…we both have never felt so sickly and awful in a long time, even into the night.

    My views are instead of having a piece of chocolate here and there or a small bar of something…eat a load make yourself feel ill…it really does sort you out…both said NO more at all.

    I have been through this before I sometimes think you need the sugar rush, no need to avoid it just go with it and the addiction goes!

    We are eating mindfully today…

    Good news I finished my fast day after my good talking too and am now only 2lb over….. also no tranquilisers for over 24 hrs now…still on pain killers but only small doze ones not my biggies. ..

    Morning lovelies hope you are all ok? Been for a lovely 4 mile walk this morning, which cleared the cobwebs away, went to bed in a bit of a huff last night not sure why only had 2200 kcal when my TDEE IS 3000, it was more my mindset! So I went to bed did not sleep but watched TV.
    Feel fine again today feel I have done well this week eating good wholesome food so I am pleased with myself, hopefully finish the week odd with no blips so hopefully make a loss on Monday.

    well that rubbish feeling has shown itself as no weight loss at all this week, in fact a 1/4 pound gain
    not really sure why when I did the same as the week before

    anyway, now got to go away as dad in hospital, so the routine I have been so desperately clinging to is now out of the window
    being selfish, shouldn’t say that, but have been trying so very hard these past 7 weeks

    All is well this cold morning.

    Off lunchtime to visit daughter and family…lovely to see the Gransons as now they are getting older they usually have other plans. Our eldest at boy or should I say man at 16 years is working away from home staying in hotels and a few weeks at college a term, coming home weekends…get up to date with him…he is growing an inch a month! He is going to Holland with the other apprentice to a work conference, plane then train for a week on their own…how things change we was lucky to get lunch paid for!

    Today eating out and again meeting up with friends for lunch Monday, we will have to pull back tonight on food…..fasting Tuesday.

    I got 40 mins walk in yesterday quite good for me….toes holding up I have to get the balance right…..maybe try and get out to walk daughters dog, have a chat while we walk…footies on TV keep the men happy!

    KP……keep on track we all have ups and downs you may loose twice next week. Sorry to hear about your Dad …hope he soon bucks up x

    I am glad that the scales are looking good. I forgot to weigh!! As long as I haven’t gained that will be ok.

    I’ve got the soup vegetables ready to go. Up at Pams tomorrow as she is full of cold and needs a bit of TLC plus reminding to take pills to ease it as she will think they are not important. She has chest problems so they are very important.

    That may just be water weight, I have that all the time but if I know I have eaten well I don’t worry too much weigh yourself again in two days time and you may see that has gone. Sorry to hear about how your dad but try to stick to the good routine you have.

    As a trial I weighed myself every day for about 10 days and recorded it. I was up and down between 7lbs. Some days up and some days down. Over three week I did lose about three pounds though.

    10,000 steps done this morning…….weigh in and lost smack on 2lb we’ll pleased with that and I’m no longer OBESE just overweight what a great feeling.

    I remember that feeling of no longer being obese, celebrate it…. hope the zipper flies up. Good news I managed to sell my wedding suit for same price as I paid so got my money back except for 10 pound p and p…. happy days….

    Hemmy yes I got to mums safely had a big roast lunch yesterday then put 6 portions of beef in gravy in freezer for her, plus fish, fish cakes, pies, puddings, and scampi. … lots for her to get on with, am cooking us a chicken tomorrow so will pop some of that in freezer too….

    Symba glad you had a good visit with family, I have kate calling in today, have missed her lots so will be great to catch up, then tomorrow zoe and Thomas are calling in for his easter Egg, busy week ahead for us and a meal out on Wednesday for us ” girls”….

    Morning lovelies good to see plenty of input this morning been a pretty quiet weekend on here.
    Had a ok day yesterday went walking and kept within my kcal yesterday but did not eat as well as normal!
    Today I’m fasting got a hairy bikers steak and ale out for dinner later on, I’ll just have some veg with that, also went on another walk this am which I’m pleased with! Will help when returning to work massively!

    I weighed in this morning and I had lost 5lb which took me to 18st 12 lbs or 264 lb whichever you prefer?! Pleased with that! Got a cocktail party on Saturday which will mean a lot of alcohol! I am your stereotypical binge drinker, never drink and then get pretty drunk maybe 6-8 times a year! So I’ll try and have five good days leading up to it! As I said in earlier posts March is a hectic month socially and holidays so need to be extra good when I can!

    tomorrow is a team lunch so even harder and Friday out with friends so it has to be Mon and Weds or Mon and Thurs this week.

    Think of them as the raw ingredients A tub full of fat, eggs and lots of sugar…..now you wouldn’t eat that would you? ….

    trying to be good
    avoided offer of kitkat from brother
    and only had apple juice in hosp café yesterday, instead of hot cross bun

    tomorrow will be more challenging as it is a fast day,

    dad has had a stroke, so not in a good way and they said it is going to take a long time – who knows how he will be, as he wasn’t very mobile even before.

    am feeling much more hungry here, think because the routine at home was so tight
    I also look loads fatter, as mum has full length mirrors – I only have a little make up mirror at home
