Erm, not sure if it’s an appropriate post for this thread but hey…just wanted to share a personal victory.

Today is a non fast day for me. After a gruelling drive on the M6, I turned into a KFC for lunch.

Firstly, I didn’t go large and opted for no sides. A win for me.

    And then…

Once the food arrived in front of me, I was sort of revolted by it. Every bit of me was inwardly shouting ‘Eewww, don’t eat that!”. What I was actually craving was a salad with a nice piece of grilled chicken, not this chicken burger and fries with soda that I thought I was having as a treat.

And so the fries and soda went straight into the bin. Yes, I still ate the chicken burger but I now know that this is not the prize I remember, I’ll be ordering differently in the future.

Fasting really does make you think about the quality and quantity of the food we eat, even on non fasting days.
    Thrilled!

Well done Victoria……it strange how our tastes change…nice to be craving healthy πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

The kfc story is a good one, it fills me with a glimmer of hope that one day I can achieve something similar with a family size bar of fruit and nut or a 12 box of Krispy Kreme! Today has been good I think walked this morning for four miles and had a small breakfast then eat nothing till around 2-30 when I had a chicken salad with some cottage cheese, then just had two hache steaks with sweet potato mash and a mound of broccoli feel stuffed now, but feel in a good place after yesterday, and think I’m making the right choices, although I can have about another 400 kcal today, it’s unlikely I will bother as I still feel no where near ready to have one chocolate bar in case the floodgates open.

Goodnight everyone, thanks again for being there, and best of luck tomorrow whatever your up to!

Plainy, you’re doing fab! Ni night x

what lovely ladies/people you are, so kind and supportive and it means such a lot to me
sorry that I am not supporting others, but I hope to again

I am reading your posts and following

today is fd and it was hard earlier as I was so hungry
however unexpected call from brother meant i was taken out and distracted all afternoon
even managed to just drink water while they ate there lunch
and just had ham/salad when i got back home

very tired but it was a better day than expected

    Hi Emm

Just draw a line under today and start afresh tomorrow. We all have had blips in the beginning and still do. lol

Just look at our Plainy last week a bit of a downer then went on to lose the fantastic amount of 7lbs.

Emm you can really do this again. Keep popping in. Xx

Sym … that invisible dog including doggie bags and all did make me chuckle. On a bloody wet day I sometimes wish I never had to do the hour and a half but it probably keeps me fit and I love Mr Pips.

Had a good day … nothing naughty … hope you have too. Xx

Hi Vet .. well done you girl… bet you were thrilled to have now got that attitude with the fast food.

Our tastes do change to more clean food. Mind you I am still partial to a McDonalds.. now and again. Lol Xx

Plainy well done on your good day … another one tomoz. Xx

Hi KT Sooo glad you stay with us. Sounds like it was a good day today for you. Its amazing how it can all turnaround within minutes of a call or visit.

Well done on your FD you are truly winning this battle my friend. Xx

Hemmy…you do great at hour and half every day you should be a size 8…..we all wish…I have managed to get just over 10,000 steps in. Shopping this morning and a 30 min fast quick walk this afternoon my poor toes know this tonight. (Arthritis). I love walking but can’t do what I used to do. Must own up to a glass of Merlot and a few nuts tonight…did have my Shloer earlier with tap water…very nice not as sweet as I expected….just an inch topped up to half a pint water..( not to keen on fizzy) nice after my walk. X

KT ….glad you had a good day.. The surprises are always the best and you were good as well…ham salad , nice to see you feeling a bit better..X

Lol Sym in the summer months I do 2 hours. Also its all across fields so no walk in the park. In bad muddy weather plus long grass heavy under foot.

All goes to prove its mainly to do with food and drink. Xx

Hemmy.. …I agree with you …hubby says excerise…I think it’s what goes in your mouth…excerise possibly tones you and with health benefits.

    Night night
    X

    Morning All,

    A very bright frosty morning.

After my hard day making myself move on my Fitbit I got to 11350 steps…toes are hurting big time this morning which was expected..a few tablets today to sort them out. I must agree with Hemmy it’s what goes in your mouth what counts and is it really necessary to do a load of excerise?? I don’t know. Others may think different.

A bit of touch up painting to do today, I had a water leak in the loft over Christmas and the ceiling needs a second coat, I keep thinking about it but that won’t get it done!

Hope you are picking up a bit Audrey and the tablets are kicking in…still thinking of you..hugs xxx

All very quiet on here at the moment with loads missing hoping everyone is OK…have a good day everyone all for now.

We are all better together πŸ˜€

    Jean X

    Morning all

Only done half my power walk this morning as my back playing up thought I could walk it out but it didn’t work so pain relief and hot water bottle for me today.

    Jean,
I think a some exercise is good for you just to get your body functions moving lol
FD for me today hubby away till Monday so only got to cook for me.

Hi Audrey hope the meds are working xxx
    Lynda x

    Lynda…another with back pain..take care and rest up…have a good FD X

Celtic…hope today goes well at the hospital for Stuart and they can get him on an even keel again xx

Good morning friends hoe all is well with you.

Lol I seem to be getting up later by the day at the moment. Such a relief not waking with an alarm at 6am.

Sym I defiantly am of the opinion that first and foremost its the amount and what you eat and drink is the major factor.

I believe exercise tones you making you look more streamline .. and good to do the steps and keep active…but its what you put in your mouth…. that’s the bottom line. All in my humble opinion of course. lol

How is everyone doing is it fast day for most?. Whats on the menu. Xx

Hope today brings a pain free day for Aud. Thoughts are with you willing you to be back here and happy. Xx

Oh dear Lyn .. be careful with that exercising. Take it easy look after yourself. Spoil yourself.. eat all your favourite’s. Healing vibes to you. ( I am beginning to sound like my mum now) lol

Have a good day Brit lovelies and anyone else wandering by drop in and join us. Xx

Remember Its not selfish to love and take care of ourselves and to make our happiness a priority if necessary. Xx

    Morning all,

I had a suprise yesterday a video call from ginette. … it was just the pick up I needed and a lovely suprise to finally get to hear her voice, thank you ginette you were a real tonic, I have a feeling you and me are going to be friends for a long time!

I have woken up this morning and am feeling a little easier, the Dr told me to take more diazepam and pain killers so that’s what I did yesterday and it seems to have released the spasm a little so I have dozed myself up again today.

I talked ian out of a kfc yesterday, instead we had actifry chips and a southern fried chicken fillet from tesco which was 215 kcals so a lot less than kfc and very tasty…..perhaps a good alternative when you are craving kfc ????πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

I am not fasting but am trying to watch my calorie intake a little so am getting there slowly.

I have caught up on most of your posts and am glad to see you are all doing well.. KT hope you are feeling better, Lynda watch that back take care my friend…

To all of you who have wished me well, a heat felt thank you. I feel I have made some good fiends on here if we stick together we can conquer anything. …..together we are definitely stronger. ….
    Audrey

Hi Audrey….lovely to hear from you..glad you have sorted the tablets out with Doc and they are helping, keep on resting and you will soon feel better…

A surprise call from Ginette that’s a lovely boost, that’s friendship.

    Take Care
    Jean x

    Yes jean

It was indeed just what I needed, a real boost at just the right time too, I was very down in the dumps and she cheered me right up,

A good friend indeed. …isn’t it strange we started off on a diet and now have made some really good friendships along the way? And it’s nice to know it’s not all about the diet too, there are real feelings for each others well being too! I am indeed feeling blessed not just by ginette but by all of you who have cared enough about me to wish me well …..❀❀❀

    Audrey

    Hi Everyone

thanks for the support yesterday – I made it! finished just under 500 cals. maybe not the right food choices but I got there under ‘budget’

enjoying my normal day today with pitta and tzatsiki for lunch <3

Vet – well done! I’m impressed. Nice to know that can happen

Plainy sounds like a good day. yum sweet potato.

keeptrying sounds like you did good, ham is a good choice

Hope any of you struggling with pain or injuries are feeling better. does anyone use turmeric? I tried it with my horse and was underwhelmed. I struggle with shoulder pain

I think exercise is useful from the point of view of improving metabolism bringing various other health benefits (endorphins for me!) but doesnt hugely contribute to weight loss

enjoying this thread and nice to meet you all!

    Great news Aud xx
Been a good day so far no morning walk as such, as had to go with my fiancΓ© to take her car for a MOT ( it passed), we had a walk to a nearby Asda whilst waiting for car, and got a few bits including more sweet potatoes (love um), then we got a subway at about one o clock I brought my salad bowl home (no meat no sauce!!!) chopped up a chicken breast I cooked yesterday and added a bit of cottage cheese and a drizzle of m and s peri peri Mayo absolutely beautiful for 450 kcal!

Don’t know about long term but this not eating till later in the day is helping me stay fuller as I have kcal for later in the day when I would usually binge! I guess I’m almost doing 16:8 without really thinking about it!

For me trust me it’s food that matters I’m a postman (when fit) and walking 12 mile a day has absolutely no effect on my waistline unless I’m eating right! I can easily eat 6000 – 8000 kcal on a day when I’m working!! Postmen are notoriously bad for snacking! 4 snickers for a Β£1 take up no room at all in you delivery pouch!

A few you tube channels I watch claim its 20% exercise 80% diet, but for me I’m either 100 % on both or 100 % pig!

Enjoy what’s left of today and I’ll catch up with you all later.

    Hi All

    Posted and lost it πŸ™

    Hi Emily

Welcome to the thread, seems as if your first day didn’t go well, as Jean says quavers are not the best thing, I find that carbs make me hungrier and the most I have is one slice of bread although I am even changing this back to soup or fruit, protein and vegetables.

Well done for making it through the day. It does get easier. Planning ahead helps me. Good luck for the next one.

Well done Victoria, that was a result!! I still have fish and chips but I buy a large fish and as I am buying to share with Pam I get a pensioners chips, I have a few years to go yet……. This is lovely for me and she enjoys it as well.

    Hi KT

You did really well yesterday, a lovely visit from your brother as well. It does get easier, it is only one day at a time you can eat the next one. How brilliant was that sitting there and watching them eat lunch. You are stronger than you think!! A lot of us who have been on this longer would struggle with that! Well Done!!

    Hi Plainy

You sound as if you are on track, probably one of the really important thatings I have learn whilst doing this is a terrible day won’t matter if the following day you get back on the wagon. It is nice to know that we can can go mad from time to time or have things that we know we shouldn’t and then just settle back to 5:2 and put it all behind us.

    Hi Jean

Yes I didn’t post last night, still tangled up in website creation……. Until 6 this morning!! I felt as if I achieved something. A frustrating but strangely enjoyable challenge. I will get the better of it!!

My what a lot of walking you are doing. Have you tried glucosamine and chondrotin tablets, you need to take one a day. I will find a link in a minute so that you can read up on them. I normally take them over to a friend in France who swears by them, She has been taking them for years.

    Hi Hemmy

Of the forgetful points on the last page, yes the two that mention are well known to me as well. I am sure walking Mr Pips every day helps you burn off calories but as has been mentioned find also plays a big part in weight gain or loss.

    Hi Lynda

You too with back problems. An easy day will help especially with a hot water bottle.

    Hi Audrey

Yes how lovely it was speaking to you. I was trawling through a website as I no longer get free calls to international numbers and I like to speak to my relations in Canada. I found out that you can make free calls through Facebook messenger app (the is the separate app)to people in the UK as well). So as you now know this I tried out on You! It was lovely to speak to you and I’m pleased that I cheered you up.

I rarely go on Facebook but I enjoy playing scrabble with friends and you have to be connected for that. It is some weeks since I went on there. It can be up to three months, but people message me through messenger quite often and this I really find useful. It’s a shame they don’t have a private message facility on this site.

I have always been intrigued by the antifreeze but they are a bit too expensive and I also have a really small kitchen. You sound bright and upbeat today. Call me anytime. I am sure as you said will be friends for a long time….. πŸ™‚

    Hi Plainy

I start eating as late in the day as possible.

    Have a good day all.

    Ginette

Ginette…. What a long day till 6 in the morning…but you got it together in the end…we are getting much better on the computers but no way near as what you do..

I’ve tried all sorts for my toes at last I found I have to wear the exact heel not flat and not high about 2″…then I’m usually fine…just now and again they throw a wobble and I can’t walk for a few days to a week then it’s tablet time but I really refuse to take tablets! I wouldn’t mind the link…

Busy today doing painting touch up after my Xmas leak…all done..looks better and tidy.

FD for us tomorrow….I think there will be a few of us….I really do like them it’s like a break off cooking!

Then the damage of the weigh in on Friday…I am expecting to be up from the holiday …some people (hubby) may be OK πŸ˜€

    X

despite being thin i am unable to get six packs. i have tried bicycle crunch, leg raises and sit ups…any other tip?

    Ksay….

if you want 6 pack you need to join a gym and speak to the instructor, you possibly need to up your food protein to a high level then work it off for many hours to gain a 6 pack every day!

Maybe 4 or 5 hours working hard at weights Every Day.

Maybe the 5.2 is not for you.

    Jean
    Very nicely put…..πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†β€β€

Dinner done sirloin steak cooked on the griddle with onion and chestnut mushrooms, sweet potato mash, and petis pois, comes in at 700 kcal, was really lovely! Still got 800 kcal left if I want to use them?! I probably won’t use them all but I guess this backs up my theory of start eating as late in the day as possible!

I love the KFC story too. I also think it takes sacrifice to reduce our calorie intake for well earned weight loss / better health results. So !!!! When we think we want ‘junk food’ and then can have it – we don’t want it because the damage isn’t worth it and I agree – our taste buds have changed massively. I am so inspired by other 5:2 ers and look forward to sharing Moore FD triumphs . My next FD is tomorrow and a weigh in Friday morning. I hate getting weighed !!! Always have. I dread the result and always think I’ve done rubbish. But for me I have to weigh in otherwise it’s not under control. I have a goal of 1stone by mid April. Hoping to get there xx

Hi friends hope you are having a good day. x

Whoop Whoop our Aud Is back where she belongs. Xx

Aww so pleased you are up and about again Aud. You have been in our thoughts.

Just take care of yourself now. Gently does it.

How absolutely lovely Gine calling you … must have been a lovely surprise and boost.

Wonderful to see you back Aud. Xx

Hi Emm Well done in coming in under 500. Nothing Is the right food its what suits you on a FD within 500 cals. So you did well girl. So glad you are enjoying it here. Xx

Hi Gine .. How are things going for you since Xmas. Are you still doing 3 day Fds. Xx

Hi Sym good luck with your FD tomoz. Wondering how Friday will be. You sound like its been a good week for you.

Did you take your dog for a walk today … what shall we call him. ( Merlot) Lololol. Xx

Plainy that did make me chuckle the 4snickers bars for a pound… tucked away.Lol

Did you see they have recalled them. Must say our village postie is lovely will pop any small packages in the door. Carry on the good work. xx

Hi Dee .. you are doing so well right on track. Bet you will have a loss on Fri .. just keep doing what you are doing… it will all come good.e Xx

Hi KT You ok my friend… how is your day going. Xx
Have a lovely evening all. Xx

    Hi Everyone,

Just love reading all these posts. The support of more established fasters and enthusiasm of the new keep us all on our toes.

I love that we can share our successes and commiserate and encourage when struggling.

So, rather than thank you all individually for your constant support, I’m sending out massive hugs and gratitude to you all x

    Aww Vet…

Massive hugs back to ya girl. xx

Glad your making good progress Audrey ! Each day at a time as they say.

Hemmy thanks very much big hugs and much love back to you too!

Dee same to you thanks very much…

Glad the people posting seem to be doing ok but we do seem to have lost some people! If you are struggling don’t stay quiet and lurk in the background please shout out we have all struggled, and failed at times perhaps we can help? Don’t give in or give up please! ….

    Vet your sentiments much appreciated,

    Ginette thanks again for yesterday

    Audrey

Glad you are back with us Aud.
Pretty certain ive gone over 500 on today so just have dust self down and start a fresh on Sunday. I cant wait for warmer weather….its far easier when its warm.
No change in Stuarts PSA level so hoping the urology surgeon says monitor it rather than biopsy, as biopsy seems like a really gruesome procedure and he would have to stop blood thinners for at least aweek before.

    Celtic,

As long as you’ve not gone too far over you should be ok.

Hope stu is ok , I find it easier to fast when it’s cold! Just love stews and soups can’t stand salads eugh!

I am not fasting at the moment just watching my intake, so hoping I don’t put any more weight on 5 lb is quite enough.

I forgot to say it was my anniversary on the forum last weekend, so I am now 1. And over 20 lbs lighter than this time last year…….

    Audrey

Aud… thing is you and Gine are so much this thread … we are all so relieved to see our Aud back. In your words Together we are stronger.

I reckon with all the support here from these Brit lovelies .. we really can do this. Xx

CC I do agree warmer weather is so much easier. A piece of protein and salad leaves .. away we go.

Must admit not liking cold food in the winter months.

I do hope you get the result you want from the urology surgeon. What a lot of worry you have on your shoulders. More than your share dear friend. Xx

    Thanks hemmy

But we are not the only ones who are important to this forum, the world would be a lot duller without your phrase for the day both ginette and myself said so yesterday, I look forward to it every morning! In fact my mum likes hearing it too when I am there!

We are definitely a group of many different parts ……

    Thanks for caring ❀❀❀

    Hi Jean

Sadly I only got a little part of it. Much more to do. I don’t know whether I can do it, it would be better to find someone who can. I will be able to edit it when it is up and running then.

I have always been a bit technically minded. My neighbour calls me an anorak as I love to look up the specifications on cars that people are buying or PVR’s are another one. I also get cross when people are sold phones that they have no need for and they would be far happier with a basic model…….or food processors when all the want is a mixer.

Link is here. Scroll down for the reviews.

I used to work on a Saturday afternoon in a friend’s shop, I spoke to a customer there who told me he was on these tablets he said he had taken them for over a year as he had problems getting out of bed. He was so much better that he stopped taking them for about 2 months and the pains came back. Started taking them again and the pains went. He only took one dose a day and it kept the pain at bay.

Worth a try. I also read a news article about them once I shall see if I can find it. I know it was some time ago.

    Hi Plainy

You are right back on track good…. I fancy a steak now.

    Hi Dee

Good luck for tomorrow, the first time of getting weighed was the worst for me, I now know that even if I gain a pound I can seen lose it. I sometimes go up two or three in tge summer and then down the next week. I have learnt that water fluctuations can do this to me. I hope you get a lovely surprise tomorrow.

    Hi Audrey

I am glad that I read that article. It’s lovely to surprise people.

    Hi Hemmy

I have had a lazy day and no looking at website design either!! I have lost about 6 lbs since Christmas. But I tell myself that it much better that putting it on or even staying the same. I started back a couple of weeks into the new year so maybe better than I thought. My fault I shouldn’t have put so much on.

    Hi Victoria

Yes hugs back, we have all had some lovely support here. The nice thing is we get support and commiserations and more support if we gain. No criticism here, I think we have all lost and gained in the past and so are familiar with the struggle. Much better that paying out for any slimming club.

    Hi Celtic

Hopefully if you have gone over it isn’t by much, it will also be much less than a normal day so you are still sitting in the winning seat! I hope they monitor Stuart and find a better way than a biopsy. What a worry for you both. Thinking of you both as the stress if waiting won’t help either.

I fell asleep in the chair today so I am having a late bowl of soup.

May pop back before I go to bed as I probably won’t be tired now.

    Ginette

    Hi all

The next few forgetful things to wake you up with in the morning.

    5. Oh, it’s in my hand.

Yep. You frequently look for things that you are holding. Or glasses that are on your head. Life is hard.

    6. Alarm, after alarm, alarm

Setting reminders and alarms for everything is the only way to make it through a day. How else are you supposed to remember to get the pizza out of the oven?

    7. Post-it notes = love

Your desk looks a bit like a sticky note art installation and you often find notes stuck to your legs, in your hair, in your bag and in your shoes.

    8. Facebook birthday reminders are the best invention of the last century

You would absolutely miss every important birthday without that little notification. Probably even your own.

    …..see you tomorrow.

    Ginette

Good morning friends hope all is well with you and yours.

Looking for another beautiful day as its shopping day with Mum.

Gine I keep meaning to say … a friend of mine swears by eating a banana before bed . Reckons it really aids getting to sleep. I am ok at the moment but thought it may be worth a try.
Wondered what you thought about it. Have a good day whatever you are doing. Xx

Really need to get some more ideas for breakfast and lunches. As I have told you a million times lol I love carbs.

Toast for breakfast … or Weetabix and fruit. Mostly a sandwich for lunch.

Its not the dietary aspect I am thinking about … as I only have decent portions and it works ok.

Thing is I have noticed days when I have an omelette for lunch //I am not tired after at all. After the sandwich I could just fall asleep at the computer.

Any ideas … shall I just cut out breakfast as I cant think what to have instead. Or what to have for lunch. Any ideas very welcome . Xx

Have a good FD or mindful normal … or if you go off track make sure you enjoy every mouthful. Lol

Good health vibes to all under par. Xx

Brit lovelies…. Small Daily improvements are the key to staggering Long Term results. Xx

    Morning all

Hemmy what about fruit and fat free yogurt for breakfast or even a home made smoothie?

I was always told never to eat bananas at bed times because they gave you indigestion!

Ginette I know what to get you for your birthday more post it notes….. hehe

Have a great day everybody, my back is finally starting to respond to the tablets, I am going to see mum on Sunday a week later than planned but she is ready for me to fill her freezer again now. …

Keep in touch my fellow brits, together we are stronger

    Audrey

    Morning All,

    Another lovely bright day here.

FD for us today, so we are on walk about shopping across lunch time keeping busy and away from lunch thoughts. Weigh in Friday am.

Ginette…thanks for the review it sounds interesting, I have had some tablets before but not with 3 different things in…I might have a re think.. You sound a whiz kid on computers …we are getting there we fiddle through between us…you are into it much more than us…even if you need help this time..well done on 6 lb off.

Hemmy…getting your steps in today…you’ll be shattered tonight…have a lovely special day with Mum keep her walking stick in control..πŸ˜…
    I have shredded wheat biscuit with hot milk…106 cals..then 2 sugars 40 cals…on FD

Audrey…lovely to have you back and feeling a bit better…keep resting…..don’t dash to do things we are all at fault with that. X

Celtic…hoping Stu is feeling a bit better …monitoring is better than a biopsy…hope he soon settles down as it’s worrying.

Dee…any news on your weigh in? Hope it’s good news.

Victoria, KP and Plainy hope alls OK.

    Cheers for now
    Jean x

Morning all hope you are all well either fasting today or tomorrow not really decided yet! My fiancΓ© is dropping me off at my mom and dads for a few hours today as I can’t drive at the moment, got some sorting out to do there and will probably go for a walk (plenty of hills round there end), then I will make a decision on fast or not?!? Wish you all a good healthy day whether fasting or eating! I feel in a good place at the moment but March is going to be a tough month with social events, my birthday and then a all inclusive holiday at the end of the month, so really got to be on point from now till march 5th when my first night out is!

Thanks Ginette, back on it today. I always crave something β€˜crispy’ (hopefully can eventually let this one go?) but today I made some air popped popcorn before I came in. more filling than crisps and I know whats in it. Also I am another scrabble fan =)

Wow Plainy that is a lot of walking. How quickly did you go through shoes?!

Hi Symba, hope you have a good FD today

Hi Audrey – I have heard the same with bananas (and they flare my eczema too)

Celtic – I am with you – bring on the warmer weather. But as I am learning on here there is always another day.

Freezing here today. I’ve got a very energetic pony that is on box rest (confined to his stable) so had some airs above the ground walking out this morning which woke me up! 3 ponies fed and one stable mucked out before work. Just had my popcorn. Grilled chicken at lunch and melon as an afternoon snack. All planned today! Teaching 2 riding lessons after work so that will keep me outside and active until 8pm then a nice hot bath as a treat instead of supper.

Plainly…looks like a bit of walking then to decide on fasting or not …you look very focused and positive at the moment. A lovely holiday to look forward to..it makes a hitch in FDs as I know but it has to be done. πŸ˜€ Where are you going on holiday? Are you American??

Emily…not thought of pop corn for a nibble…keep picking up bits and pieces on here….ponies must keep you fit they are hard work all that mucking out….and riding of course. Chicken breast for us today with salad…hubby wanted a plate of chicken drumsticks and thighs, chilli sauce for dipping…far too high in calories I nearly died at the count…..so they are now in the freezer!

We have a wedding evening do at end of March, seeing work people who we have not seen for ages.. really must get some weight off and look better…both of us.

Got ironing to catch up on ..keep busy…all good….speak later

    Hello lovelies!

Just checking in- seems a mixed bag on here this week but we’re all going to have ups and downs and the important thing with the downs is draw a line under them and move on. Together- we can do this! Having a 4:3 week this week to make up for an unusually unhealthy weekend last weekend so not weighing in until Sunday but hopefully will see positive results.

    Don’t be strangers πŸ™‚

Hi Emily, we go through trainers literally every couple of months and to honest it should be less!
Hi symba I’m British, I live in Shropshire, I’m 38 6 ft tall and devilishly handsome! And I’m finally getting married in October! I have three children 15,12, 6 so I’m pretty busy most of the time! There is a little background information! Oh and it’s Majorca we are going! I’m also a terrible eater who can put weight like no tomorrow here is a example from last year:
    Jan 2015 19st 12
    May 2015 16st 6
    Jan 2016 20st 12 (heaviest I’ve ever been)
    Last Monday 19st 3!
As you can see I’m either completely on my game or completely off it! Not a good way to live! Not been in the 15’s for 6 years and that’s my goal! That when I consider I look my best!

Anyway back to the present, I did decide to do a fast day today and have still not eaten! Been the easiest I have done yet purely because I have been so busy!

Hope your all in good spirits and I’ll check in before bed tonight!

    Hi Plainy,

Theres the goal 15 stone and devilishly, devilishly handsome hunk..πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ You could have 4 stone off for October…..we have got to get you in your Wedding Suit 🍾 🎩…

You threw me on Mom…my American son-in-law calls me that…

    Jean

Just a quick one…night all…That’s my last FD done until Monday. Phew I made it πŸ™‚

FD all done had one meal of Hairy bikers lamb tagine and a bag of the steamed individual veg from Sainsburys and one toffee snack a jack 598 kcal in total, hope you’ve all had good days! Night all and we will see what tomorrow brings!

    Hi Audrey

I’m glad your back is finally on the mend as this must make you feel so much better. Enjoy yourself at your Mums.

    Hi Hemmy

I’ve tried a banana before bed it was really odd, I couldn’t sleep. But it was worth a try. Watching TV normally helps me fall asleep. I can be really tired falling asleep in the chair, I go to bed and wake right up., how annoying is that!!!

    Hi Plainy

You will get to grips with treat days and then be able to deal with them by being very good for a couple of days. Holidays the same I imagine. Just don’t go too mad with the all inclusive.

    Hi Emily

Yes homemade popcorn is quite low, shop bought can be quite high. Mucking out stables sounds like energetic work!!

    Do you play scrabble online?

Well done for making it through your fast days.

    Hi Darlin

Yes most people now seem OK though. If we can stop overindulgence and have a good day the next we can soon get back on track.

    Hi Plainy

Your weight fluctuations looks like mine. I think I shall be on this in one form or another continually. Maybe only twice a week instead of the three times I do now though. I find it hard to keep control as well. Maybe we both need hypnosis to not be so lured…..

You have a great goal so I can’t see that you won’t succeed. I’m willing you on xx

    Hi Jean

Are you fasting Friday? I am on my normal fast. I have worked out that Aldis fresh vegetable soup mix with two stock cubes added works out at about 90 calories for a large 400gm bowl full. I added 2 pints of water to it and 2 garlic cloves, oregano and black pepper. The mix is 65p to buy and I get 4 bowls out of it. I add a little water to the soup as it goes as it is really quite thick. Not bad that is 2 days worth for 65p. I had 200gm of strawberries topped with half a pot of diet youghurt as afters in the evening.

Two bowls of soup 180 calories and strawberries and youghurt about 80 calories milk for tea 100 calories. So I even had 140 calories over and could have had something else. Not bad!! A nice slice of toast and marmalade would have done if I fancied it.

    See you tomorrow all.

    Ginette
