I have to think when you mention Bury, I used to go to Bury every Friday virtually the year before I got married, but my Bury is in Lancashire.I actually had to get a train to Bury then a bus to Ramsbottom.

Xena is being really weird again tonight- I’ve washed her bedding so she has different stuff in her crate, she comes out but if you move at all she dashes back in! She came out for a quick play with a balloon & has gone back in now 😂

Jean – I hate when it’s dark out and so early too! I always get quite low. Last year I went to Morocco in January where there was baking heat every day until 6pm and it was heaven, like a weight off my shoulders!
Hedgehogs – yes, that was me. I don’t actually own a scale in my flat. But since Christmas is my mini deadline and there’s a few family birthdays before there, I know I’ll be back here and there to hop on the scales and see. I’ve been scrutinising myself and I think I can see small differences here and there, which is nice! And I didn’t realise you were from Bury St Edmunds – I have a friend who lives there. Small world!
Dave – your gym sessions sound hilarious and a lot of fun!
Was working at one of the big tech companies today on an event. It’s a client I’ve been working with here and there for the past year and it’s one of my favourites, as they have a huge canteen that serves an incredible variety of delicious buffet food. And it’s free! Had lots of veggies and some lentil stew.

Been to pick up my new speck’s,got to say extremely impressed with them.Will definitely be going back to Boots in the future, almost £200 cheaper and on my opinion better glasses, everything looks so Sharpe the colours are much more vibrant.I tried half a vegan sausage roll from Gregg’s,it was okay but prefer meat to quorn.Dont know what to eat today,had too much bred again this week forgot to tell you I bought two tubes if smarties,what’s good is they are all orange ones,my favourites.

Hehe 2lbs off so far this week! I am pleased…going well so far today.
It was lovely to see my friend, but not altogether cheerful as she’s had a difficult year again, her daughter has mental health problems, friend’s had a cancer scare…realise how very lucky we are. Very cold though, they have a massive house so don’t heat it!

Had another good day food-wise thanks to a bad day pain-wise! Small bowl of porridge, a waggon wheel (not worth the calories, I’ve since discovered), and pan haggerty this evening. Not really hngry, but not really full of energy. No chocolate so far this week, and just a wee bun each evening for supper.
Off out again tonight…waiting for painkillers to kick in.

Now nice and warm though with a lovely log fire 🔥 glowing in our multi fuel stove. Will put some coal on later.
Hedgehogs picked up some of those chocolate and cherry mince pies in Waitrose today so will be trying one in a bit as I’ve not had many calories today.Well done on the two pounds off by the way.Hope Xena doesn’t have any lasting I’ll effects.

I had to look it up. Apparently all smarties taste the same apart from the orange ones which contain orange oil.
Very excited to be off to London for the weekend. Going to the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow night for the Classic Spectacular with the Royal Philharmonic. Saturday going to the Ideal Home Exhib Christmas event.
2 lbs down this week so I’ll happily take that. Made some lovely meals from Slimming World – aiming to follow those on NFD to keep them in check.

Got up at 5 cos of pain in the jaw – grrr! Just had today’s portion of soup so I can take large amounts of painkillers. Hoping to find a way to get through the day with minimal food before takeaway night with the boys. It will be just a small portion, though, and something soft. Not too hungry, really, but ‘glad’ I have the jaw pain to help my motivation this week.

Minols- poor you still in pain…hope it does improve. Good for the diet though- I had a salivary gland stone a few years ago, that was pretty painful every time I ate, that helped me lose lots of weight! Hope your day improves…

Minols have a wee dram,that’s a good pain killer.Back from doctors was told by text it was just for blood pressure but they took my blood to.While I was having my pressure done the nurse asked if I wanted a pnumonia jab, I said you may as well,so she did that while take my blood pressure,she did mention women can multitask, I said so Denise always says,she knows Denise.My blood pressure was very good and I have to call the GP on Monday for blood results.

Doctors yesterday. BP fine, blood results fine, steroids reduced, what’s not to like!!
Out to Christmas lunch yesterday which was very yummy, thoroughly enjoyed. No calorie counting.
Weight today up but which is what I expected but as long as it is two steps forward and one step back I am happy.
Cutting back today and will be careful this weekend before FD on Monday.
As one of you reminded me (sorry I’ve forgotten who), this is not a diet but a way of life and eating.
Please stop talking about chocolate.

We have had a pub lunch and stuffed, very nice a different one to usual Charlie joined us ..nothing much more today food wise ….we bought Charlie a Woolie pulley, new car harness because of our travels, the walking harness not good enough for the car someone pointed out…4 tubes of orange smarties for Me I am not sharing!..vitamin supplements to collect when we park walk later, good for my feet and for Steves blood….must try and get his blood levels down for January…

Smarties come under sweeties not chocolate for me so I can resist easily. Having said that, today is the last day of an Epic Face Stuffing week. Am not going near the scales 😂😂. Two FD800s coming up tomorrow though B2B.
Annabelle can’t see if anyone else has answered you, a CFD is a controlled fast day, 1200 calories. A nice in between day. I do them sometimes.

There was me thinking a cfd was a chocolate free day but that is about as likely as snow in July 😝.
I will definitely be fasting again starting next week but will be a little more relaxed about it at Christmas though I will try not to pig out too much.

Hi everyone,
Jean – I used to have a set of scales before but I got rid of them when I moved flats a few years ago, when I was very slim and tired of years of stressing over my weight… but maybe it’s time to get them back.
Have had a couple of very indulgent days – was surrounded by incredible surplus food at work and wound up really bloated as a result. It was impossible to resist lots of creamy truffle mash as a second dinner… But I’m moving on! Despite that, I feel like my waist is slimming down, so I’m confident I can keep moving forward and not fill myself up so much on my NFDs.
Just a short shift at the Emirates today and I’m fasting before soup for dinner and a really early night – I’ve put in 26 hours in the past two days at work 😅
