  • Hi everyone!
I recently discovered Progresso Light soups – these have inspired me to jump back onto the 5:2 wagon! I’ve been eating 3 cans of those and it ends up hitting the 500 calorie mark pretty darn well. To make them extra filling, I add Benefiber to them. I’m finding that I’m not physically hungry by taking this approach and it’s super easy to just open a can of soup. I definitely still have an appetite and would love to eat a cinnamon roll or something, but I don’t feel super hungry like I did when I was doing 5:2 before. <3

Just thought I’d share in case it helps anyone!

I too eat soup on fast days. Home made ones though. So far fruit morning and lunch. Then soup + bread if able. Made potato and leek soup or carrot and coriander. Plus loads of water.

Does anyone have suggestions of meal plans for fast days? Soups sound great! I find my downfall being snacks (fruit and bread) and milk- if I cut it out it saves a lot!
