  • Hi, I have recently been told of a magazine article which states that on fast days one can have up to 100 calories extra to the fast days allowance……I was gutted as I have stayed religiously to the 500 and my husband to the 600, however as I have been stuck on the same weight and size for weeks so I was a little put out.
    But was what I was told true?

    I love magazine articles! The general rule is that you can eat 5/600 calories per diet day, or less. I guess you can eat more if you don’t want to lose weight as fast. Eating more calories slows weight loss (surprise).
