  • Day 21, UK, NFD
76.0 kg this morning. Yesterday’s FD went off without a hitch, so assue the gain of 0.2kg is the aftermath of the pizza incident on Tuesday. Next FD won’t be until the 28th, but I’ll keep on weighing daily to (hopefully) help me stay moderately mindful over the next week.

    Day 21 UK NFD

I ate a bag of doritos last night and gave myself the most dreadful headache. I am never buying those poisonous things again! The trouble was they were there. I made an absolutely gorgeous vegan swede gratin for dinner but there wasn’t really enough of it for three of us and I was left unsatisfied so I got the munchies with Christmas treats in the house… more like Christmas punishment! Why do we do this to ourselves?

Day 21, London, UK, FD (maybe!!)

So, I’m starting today with a mediocre plan!! That’s the best I can do today as I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself (bouncy-bouncy scales are not playing fair!!!) And my plan to bank some FDs has been derailed by the Thai meal out and the free flowing chocolates in the office!!!

Anyway, at least I got a chuckle (and a groan), thanks to @steve toon taxi driver!!!!

Work lunch out tomorrow and I’ll break my ‘Dry’ spell until I join the dry Januarians – I know I’ll need it!!!

Have a good & mindful run up to Xmas everyone!!!

DAY 21 NFD following FD yesterday FRANCE Only 100gm to go til I reach my December challenge target so am feeling good although next week maybe my undoing!!! Am planning another FD Friday {tomorrow) to mqke sure I stay on track before all that xmas eating!

Have a good Christmas everyone , keep positive til the end of the year x

    Day 21 Belfast – a dreary Belfast

Staying controlled and not finding it too hard. A nosy puppy is a good incentive not to eat!

@aljomisaza – would love to see the gingerbread houses. Is there a link?
@daffodil2010 – I’ve been to Newgrange many times. We always take our visitors there. It’s a spectacular place. I first went there 30 years ago with the caravan on the back and took my mum there. She was big into archaeology and at that time they were excavating part of it, and she spent hours talking to them. We always take our visitors there. A sight not to be missed, although a lottery ticket wouldn’t do much good today if your weather is like ours! What a fabulous and historic area you live in!

    So just to finish:

What kind of pet did Aladdin have?

    A flying car-pet !

Off to prepare for my visitors. Stay strong everyone!

    Day 21, Belfast, FD

Going to try and stay busy today, plenty of water too.
Hope everyone is keeping well. I’ve started a pocket list for today. Possibly my last FD before Christmas so fingers crossed!

Going for an outdoor swim in Hampton Pool in a minute. Thank goodness it’s heated.
Going for a FD today before the serious scoffing starts (SSS?). Adding myself to day 21 pocket list. We usually go on the roof overlooking Bushey Park and have a cup of tea and a sandwich after a bracing swim. Just a cup of tea today for me. Then a walk through the park, look at the deer, which I’m a bit scared of, then home. Good luck everybody. Happy holidays all.

    Day 21……Florida…….NFD

Today, happens to be the shortest day of the year as well as short girl day…..So a big shout out to all my short people….. I’m only 5’1”, so today is a day to celebrate it.

I have been all over the place as far as eating and my belly is finally paying me back and today is going to be tough as lunch is being provided for us. So, I’m going to try and eat on the lighter side, but will see if that will work….

@flourbaby…… A plan is a plan, no matter if it planned down to the minute or it’s just said in jest. There are plenty of people in history that made huge discoveries by just flying by the seat of their pants. The key is just keep trying…….Come on….grab my hand…. we will do it together……

It seems as I may have missed Welcoming some of our newbies…..So, welcome my friends!

I’ve only have two more days of work before my long vacation….. Ohmy they can’t be over fast enough……

I love all the cute little jokes…..

Wanna know why Santa is so jolly?
He knows where all the bad girls live!

    Day 21 Wisconsin USA NFD
Hello everyone. Having trouble getting to all the posts today, but even skimming through I was able to feel a sense of community and support. Thank you.

Yesterday’s FD got me back on track to some extent, Although it was more of a CD, scales are better today and most of all commitment to this way of eating is still strong.

Plan for today includes a successful NFD with mindful eating and a trip to the gym later for a 5 mile bike ride.

@fatrabbit I can truly say that I understand your frustration. You can do this. Keep going, don’t let a slip impact your goals.

@flourbaby I love your term “bouncy scales”. Sometimes I want to bounce mine right out the bathroom window.

@at you are so right. I’m going to try not to magnify the treats at this time of year. Every season has its treats, and although they add to the fun, they don’t have to BE the fun.

    @diverdog congratulations on your success!!

Good luck and the best of the season to everyone. Take care, Markie

    Day 21 USA (Illinois) NFD

Happy Winter Solstice everyone! Now, for us in the northern hemisphere, we can look forward to longer days. Gradually, yes, I know.

Will get to read posts later on. I have a pretty lazy day today, so will try not eat.

    Onward and downward.

    Day 21 – Massachusetts – FD

Peaked at the scales today. Down a pound out of the two pounds I gained. Hoping to add in another fast day this week so that I get rid of that pesky pound and then I’m back to where I was before I had my carb binge. Thanks for all the support everyone – just when I think I really screwed up I reset and it ends up being okay! Thanks to you guys I haven’t given up and just quit, which I would have done on the past.

Most of my friends are now traveling for holidays so the parties have officially stopped for now (thank goodness). This fast day should be successful! I’m a little sick but nothing too bad.

Really enjoying all the groan-worthy jokes and looking forward to January with you guys! Stay strong 💪

    Let’s go fellow fastest!

    Day 21 FD Oregon USA

Well last night was an EFS. I stopped trying to count the calories from cheese, cookies, beer, meats, chips…last real party and evidently I just couldn’t help myself. Happily or unhappily I have woken up with a stomach ache and feel just Yuck!! Mental note to associate this gross feeling with overindulgence of food and drink. Contrast how I will hopefully feel tomorrow upon today’s successful FD. 😊💪

Loved all the pants and @stevetoon the Captain Hook one takes the cake!
@flourbaby-feeling sorry for yourself is only human. Love @bert1802‘s words and joining hands with both of you. Just drag me along today as I feel like a lead balloon. 😃

@debster251 that puppy sounds wonderful. Nothing like a little puppy breath behind lots of kisses to put a smile on your face. At the holidays only makes it more memorable!

Enjoy this shortest day of the year everyone. Maybe it will make the FD go faster too. 🤔
(Doubtful I will probably just end up in bed @6)😃

    Happy Winter/Summer Solstice everyone.

    Day 21 FD 2nd post

Sorry forgot to mention big THANK YOU’S to all for your support as I host January.
And special thank you to @at for the perfect instruction.
Setting up January page today and I am good to go for the spreadsheet. 🎉💪❄️

@leggit we seemed to cross out each other on the pocket list so reposting that here as well.

    Day 21 – USA – NFD

Good FD yesterday, 343 cals. Dropped 1 lb. from the 2.8 gain from last week. Friday’s FD should bring me back to where I started in the beginning of Dec. and then 2 more FDs next week, perhaps another 1 lb? Here’s hoping. @mjrbcd44, please count me in for January! @bert1802, if I don’t thank you now for hosting, I know I will forget, so thanks so much for your feisty posts!

Good day all, I love reading your posts and catching a glimpse of your lives. Big dogs can be cuddle babies and very fierce as well I once had a huge male lab that was 110 lbs and very protective and territorial outside but inside he was a lover, always setting his head on our laps as we sat and the children would constantly be on the floor with him cuddling or playing.
Day 21 Las Vegas NV USA NFD

Birthday dinner was very good. We tried a new Italian place. We shared two appetizers, fried zucchini flowers and grilled octopus. My main course was short rib cavatelli. A glass of prosecco with the appys and a very nice barberra with the main. Although the portions where reasonably sized I took half of my cavatelli home. I didn’t order dessert but the OH tipped them off that it was my birthday and they brought a tiramisu and we shared it. I felt stuffed even though I didn’t eat that much.

My next 6 days will be NFD. We are traveling to Santa FE NM and will be eating out each evening. I plan to eat in moderation most likely just one meal a day plus a nutrition shake on the days I hit the gym.

I’ve already exceeded my goal fat loss for the month. The challenge will be to keep it off. I’m planning another B2B water fast between Xmas and NY’s and hopefully it will keep me on track

    Day21, Gozo Malta, nfd

Today I already ate four types of Christmas cakes and cookies. 🤨 weight this morning was 66.2 so just bordering on a healthy BMI. I’d like to be about two kilos lower.

Have a great 👍 evening/night/day everyone. Onwards and downwards.

    Day 21 California FD

This morning I just passed my old goal of 59 kg and am only .7 kg from my final goal. 58.7 kg or 129.4 lbs this morning. And today is a FD. Will I make it before Christmas? 2 days before the land mine eating days of Saturday, Sunday and Monday. It would be so nice to finish out the year at my goal of 58 kg 128 lb.

@mjrbcd44, thank you for agreeing to host January. And much luck for continued success on your 5:2 journey!

@diverdog, Happy Birthday! Glad your birthday meal was a success.

Hope everyone fasting or not, has a great day today!

    Day 21 UK FD

Yesterday was a CD with two meals totalling c1300 calories. I’d saved some calories for pudding with supper but then didn’t really want it so didn’t – a first for me!

Really short of sleep after a late night but went out to do the last of the Christmas-shopping inc my main food shopping because I had the offer of a lift from a friend. My first time shopping on a FD, in pre-Christmas busyness and while very tired!

What amazed me was how easy it was to resist temptation. I’d done some thinking and written a rough list before I went which made it easier, but I found making healthier choices genuinely straightforward. I was checking calories on crackers, not buying ice cream or cake or biscuits or sweets or chocolate – except those intended for presents. My friend even bought me a chocolate bar but I “saved it for later” – this is So Not Me!

It’s as tho something has clicked in my head, and the yen for sweet or high-carb things, the call to self-care with sugar – or any food – has simply switched off. There’s a grown up bit of my brain which is in the driving seat for today, and that was really helpful. I’m sure it’ll be different another day, if I’m really tired, stressed, miserable or have been drinking, but I’ll take it for today!

Really interested to read about Newgrange – amazing to think that knowledge and construction ability was there thousands of years ago. What a wonderful place to live.

    Happy Winter Solstice!

    Day 21 – 2nd post

Tucked up in bed having completed a successful Liquid Only Fast (LFD) and pleased at how easy it was today. Work was super busy with hundreds of orders for edible flowers for the restaurant trade….so did not have time to think about food as I picked, picked, and picked viola and chrysanthemum ☺️

Straight after work I did some more gift shopping, home to wrap said gifts, shower, then bed. What a busy day. Looking forward to the scales tomorrow.

@debster251 and @michelinme I did not realise that Newgrange was only discovered 50 years ago! Can you imagine how awesome it must have been for that archaeologist to witness the light entering the tomb on 21st Dec 1967, and being the first person in millennia to do so. Just WOW.

On a similar vein, an old boyfriend brought me to visit Newgrange back in 1990. You could just stroll up to the passage grave in those days for a wander about. I found it fascinating and have been back a few times since. But, I just found out last week whilst doing some bored googling, that said ex boyfriend is now a historian and is credited with discovering Stone Age standing stones where light is picked up in a definite pattern at dawn during the Equinox. Yes, our ancient Irish heritage is still waiting to be discovered 😄

And meant to say, @stevetoontaxidriver the Captain Hook joke cracked me up this morning 😆

    Day 21 – Cumbria UK – CD

Today is the Winter Solstice – what better way to celebrate than with a candlelit Yoga Class in a wonderful space this evening! My last class before the Christmas break……must try to do some home practice over the next couple of weeks

@busymummam – great job on holding firm to those 3pm munchies 😉
@daffodil2010 – impressive completion of your B2B2B2B – hope the scales tomorrow reflect your commitment x
@fatrabbit – I totally sympathise – that is why I never keep any in the house! Luckily OH is totally not into all these “treats” and DD is only here part time and keeps her “treats” in her room away from my prying eyes…..😉
@debster251 – I told DD about the new addition to your family – she is so envious as a animal lover herself, she and her BF have 2 cats and are planning on getting a dog in the next year or so.
@emma-taylor – hope you enjoyed your bracing swim today and your walk through the park
@bert1802 – remember that good things come in small packages ☺️
@diverdog – Good to hear that you enjoyed your birthday meal – I love grilled octopus….

Been loving the pantomime jokes………..so corny but still makes you laugh!!

“If you do all the small things right, BIG THINGS HAPPEN!”

Days 20 to 31 all NFDs/holidaying in Perth Western Australia

Managing to read posts and thoroughly enjoying our diverse community. Eating delicious healthy food and drinking (prosecco, white wine and pints of beer 🙄) but not fasting. Glad I have banked a few kgs although running after very active 2 year old and walking up hills should help with the extra calories. It’s very flat where I live in Melbourne.

@anna6 and @diverdog delicious posts. This WOE really doesn’t have to be boring.

Thank you for all the holiday wishes.

    Day 22 NFD Brisbane, Australia

A good FD yesterday. 68.4 kgs this morning, just .4kg off my goal 🙂 I really would like to see that .4 kg gone before Christmas but I will not stress over a lousy 400 grams. My new goal will be 66kgs, this will put me in the healthy BMI weight range and I think any less would make me look too drawn.

Have just popped a batch of Michael Mosely’s Nutty Granola in the oven, now to start my gingerbread.
@debster251 I will try and post the link to the GB houses
@michelinme I can totally relate…the urge to overeat and to scoff down sweets seems to have disappeared, thankfully. I still enjoy a sweet treat but I can so easily walk past them now. I hope this lasts 😊
@califdreamer Congratulations, what a nice Christmas present to yourself.
@onahealthyhigh My heart is so sad about the senseless tragedy in Melbourne. We live in such a sad world where people can be so cruel.

    Stay strong everyone…you’ve got this.

    Day 21, Germany, NFD
Pretty good NFD even though I had a Christmas party of my choir.
I don’t know how to fit in more FDs this year because my OH doesn’t know that I am on this WOL… 😎
Skipping breakfast might be an easy first step…
I will at least head for CDs – which I find harder than FDs…

@aljomisaza it is so sad. A second mindless occurance in my beautiful city both caused by mentally ill, ice affected individuals. So far no connection to “terrorism.” My heart goes out to all those directly impacted and those whose livelihood will be impacted. I’m also saddened by the ugly concrete barricades popping up to keep us safe. A necessary measure but an ugly reminder. Thankfully they are gradually being replaced with large planter boxes. So much sadness.

    Day 22 – Japan – FD 83.7kg

Sorry I’m way out of touch. December and I’ve been working an extra project.

Day 21 – SW WA USA – NFD

A late post but enjoying time with my son who flew in from Spokane to have some Christmas adventures with me. Making it a 16:8. Enjoyed the Christmas parade of ships along the Columbia tonight.

Working on catching up on posts. Yes, @daffodil2010 I love it that this is the winter solstice and that days will be getting longer.

    Day 22 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – NFD

Happy dance this morning 💃 I felt I was whooshing yesterday after a 4 day run of FD’s with yesterday being an impromptu LFD…..but my goodness! I dispatched 2.8 lbs overnight, and thus 6 since Monday morning’s weigh in 😮

I have not done an LFD in a number of weeks so I must have shook my metabolism up with the last minute one yesterday and WHOOSH 😄

I set a new goal last week to be under 60kilos by 4th January, or 132lbs…..right now I don’t have much more to go BUT…..here comes Christmas 🍷🍾🎂🍽. Mindfulness needed.

Working today, then off with my DH to do the Christmas food shopping. Nothing planned for dinner so this might be the first minefield encountered. Mindfulness needed.

@annemarilyn that image of ships parading up the Columbia sounds lovely.
@miraclelou I am with you on trying to fit in this WOE with a DH who either does not know or understand. It’s difficult….good luck 👍
@at thanks for the shout…..the scales were very nice to me this morning ☺️

Happy Friday everyone….happy Christmas weekend……it’s nearly here 😃

DAY 22 – FRANCE – FD – Currently 79.1 kg only 100 gms to go to target might even beat it!!

Wishing everyone a happy winter holiday xx

    Day 22, Gozo Malta, nfd

Enjoy 😊 the last weekend before Christmas 🎄 day. Have a great 👍 day everyone. Onwards and downwards

    Day 22 UK NFD

    Day 22, London, UK, NFD.

I had hoped to be so near to target that I wouldn’t have to be too careful today as I’m out for an Xmas work lunch and breaking my Dry December …………………… but……………………the scales are up, up, up; so although I’ll enjoy myself today, I’ll still be careful of exactly what I consume!!!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement & hand holding after yesterdays’ minor meltdown!!! I’m just feeling sorry for myself because my ATL ( all time low) weight was so fleeting, I’m not sure I didn’t just imagine it!!! I wouldn’t mind if I had consumed an extra-large pizza and washed it down with a bottle of Baileys – that’s the self-sabotage I’m familiar with – but I’ve been relatively careful although a sneaky chocolate here or there probably adds up to more than I think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow, I just have to get………………BACK ON THE WAGON!!!

@michelinme, it would appear that the ‘brain retraining’ is finally kicking in, well done!!!

@at, I had my last yoga class last night too, as always, I have BIG plans to practice during the 2 week holiday …………………………… but who am I kidding!!!!!!!!!!!

@daffodil2010 – congrats, I’m dancing with you, you’ve definitely banked some FDs before Xmas!!!

    Onward & downwards people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Day 22 – Melbourne Aus – FD
Stuck to the new limit of 800cal, but hey, better than blowing the whole fast day haha. I’ve had a lovely day of pottering in the garden and tidying up for Christmas Day. Now I’m relaxing with a hot cuppa and the Christmas tradition of “Love Actually” on telly.

I’ve started taking apple cider vinegar at night this week…does anyone else do this. Did you notice any changes in weightloss?

@onahealthyhigh I noticed they have been decorated around Southbank and fed square. They’re still pretty ugly though. I just missed the gas explosion at the shopping centre yesterday. Would’ve been so scary!

    Day 22 Wales NFD

This week turned into an unintended b2b2b at an estimated 800 calories a day because of feeling so grotty with the cold, I’ve just been force feeding myself vitamin rich fruit and veg and soups to try and get rid of the virus – just horrible to eat with no smell or taste. Out of curiosity stepped on the scales this morning and I weigh 138 pounds, less than my pre holiday weight, so that’s my good news. The bad news is that OH started with the virus yesterday – not the best thing I could have given for Christmas!

I’m not planning FDs until I’m well. I will sign up for the January challenge and look forward to maintenance in 2018.

    Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

    Day 22……Florida….FD

Today is my last day of work until Jan. 2. I’m sooo looking forward to the long vacation! I just need a break, from the whole thing!

Come hell or high water, I am also doing a FD….I don’t care what kind of food, goodies or treats they bring in. It seems like this week was a free for all in the food department. I haven’t done a solid FD in a week. Terrified of what those stupid scales are going to say! Ugg!

@mjrbc and @ flourbaby……. today you may feel me tightening my grip……I have got to do it! Or I may lose all my good intentions!

@dykask……sorry your so busy….. catch up when. You can!

@busymumma….. Idid ACV for about a month or so….. in all honesty, I did notice much of a difference and for me it was a tough job to get it settled into my routine.

@missybear……I hope you feel better soon!

Okay, well…… time to get this day over with…..

Wanna know why Santa’s so jolly?
That’s because he knows where all the bad girls live!

    Day 22, UK, NFD

76.7 kg today, so it is creeping back on. And Xmas proper isn’t here yet… Will be interesting to see where I am on the 28th when I do my next FD.

    Day 22 Germany, FD
Wasn’t sure whether this FD would happen but till now it’s looking good! Went to a kindergarten farewell party today where at 11 am they served a big buffet plus champagne. I skipped the buffet but had some champagne 😜🙈
Does this still qualify me for a LFD? 😂😂😂
Feel very relaxed right now… 😉
@flourbaby I can understand your frustration! But I’m sure that if you just stay on track in this WOL you will soon be rewarded! The good thing is that we aren’t missing out on so much, isn’t it…
@daffodil2010 “good” to hear that I’m not the only one without family support. I honestly just never have mentioned it to my OH and he in fact didn’t notice in 10 months 🙈. In the summer holidays I stopped fasting for 3 weeks though.
Have a good few last days before Christmas everybody!!!
    Onwards and downwards! 💪

    Day 22 – USA – FD

    Day 22 CD Oregon USA

Well it happened (as I fully knew it would but nonetheless it just is…. Well it’s sigh worthy) and I am back up 1 pound. I really just need to be thankful that it isn’t more given last weekend’s hijinks and Wednesday night which was my biggest EFS of the last two months. Did I mention there was all sorts of cheese??? I believe it was the Brie that did me in most. You know you are in trouble when you stop TRYING to count the calories! 😃

So definitely CD’s from here until Christmas and then two FD’s next week. Going to try for 1200 calories. Will see how it goes. Haven’t been doing much in terms of CD counting so hopefully it won’t feel like I am being restricted. Some weird alarm goes off in my subconscience still when it fears food being taken away and it unleashes the worst dragons.
@michelinme you sound like you are getting the great brain benefits already which is fantastic. I will be working on that specifically in January.

@onahealthyhigh and @alijo so sorry to hear about Melbourne.Too much senseless tragedy in this world. 💙
@daffodil2010 this was a brilliant week for you!! Congrats on your low.
@bert1802 and @flourbaby–thanks for your support as we navigate this last week. Hope you don’t mind me tagging along… This morning I feel less like a lead balloon and more like a?? Don’t know but I wish you both good choices over the weekend.

@annemarilyn and @awilson hope you both enjoy the holiday weekend my “local” friends.

I wish we could send pictures sometimes because there is a beautiful shot of Portland yesterday morning in the solstice as we were covered in fog in the morning and it was frosty cold. It was a day to be grateful for beauty in the world as well.

🎄May your holidays be blessed and your pounds be less. ⛄

    Day 22 USA (Illinois) NFD

Woke up to a nice dusting of snow! ♫♪♫ “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” ♫♪♫ Getting last items done here in IL before leaving for Utah on Monday. Family is gathering there with daughter and 2 granddaughters. They have had some snow too! My bird feeders are still pretty full here, but will make sure they all get replenished before I leave.

Hard to believe December is winding down already. Thanks so much to @bert1802 for this month and looking forward to January with @mjrbcd44 – yeah!! I think there is a way to post photos – I did mine through Facebook page that was made public. @coda – did you post photos to this site somehow?

    Onward and downward.

Day 22 – SW WA USA – NFD

AS with others, trying to keep mindful but I agree the scale is a tad bouncy these days. For me, I’m trying to keep it under 200 lbs but it’s a challenge!

@mjrbcd44 – the fog made for an unusual picture yesterday morning. After picking my son up at PDX, he said the bridge as we headed back to WA, looked like it was floating in the sky.. Later we were so delighted that the sky was clear to enjoy the Christmas parade of ships along the Columbia in the evening.

@miraclelou – somehow I’m having a tough time envisioning Kindergarten & champagne together. Perhaps this is a Germany thing. Here, school functions and alcohol don’t go together.

@bert1802 – thanks so much for hosting December. May you have a great vacation!

Earlier, on this forum, several folks were decluttering etc. That is one of the blessings of having my son home for a couple of days. We went through 1/2 my small storage unit & part of my apartment in a couple of hours yesterday between fun activities. We even made a run to a charity to donate more than a trunk full. Today we plan on finishing the storage unit. This is great on several accounts – won’t be paying storage fees anymore & it helps toward organizing for a move as I finish my last full-time teaching year. I love our stories/memory sharing as we go through stuff as well.

Okay, better get moving & head to the storage unit soon, before the rain comes today.

    We are stronger together!

    Day 22 California NFD

My weight stayed at 58.7 after my FD yesterday. Hope that means that I’ll be able to stay under 60. Still 2 FD next week before the end of the year, so there’s still a chance of hitting my final goal. The 3 days after today will be challenging. But I plan to eat and have fun.

@missybear, feel better! It’s no fun feeling sick around the holidays. Hope your OH isn’t coming down with it.

@busymummam, Apple cider vinegar never did anything for me with weight loss. I hadn’t heard about a gas explosion of the shopping center. Was anyone hurt?

    Day 22 UK NFD

Forgot to weigh myself this morning, forgot to eat today. Have just eaten yesterday’s chocolate bar to keep me going and really didn’t enjoy it 🙁 It tasted of something oily and chemically and super sweet – nothing like as chocolatey as my cacao, yoghurt & honey pudding. Don’t think I’ll find it as hard to resist next time.

Daughter arrives tomorrow, lots of preparation still to do, tree lights not working, Christmas tree doesn’t fit in its base and the kitchen is full of blackberry liqueur waiting to be bottled. Now that tastes yummy, and prob more calories than the chocolate 😀

    Day 22 – Massachusetts – FD

Yesterday’s fast was successful. Feels good to be back. Traveling to see family in NJ for the holiday. Easy for me to make this a fast day since I’m stuck in a bus for 5 hours. Tomorrow starts off the eating… going to do my best to be mindful.

    Day 22 – Cumbria UK – FD

After yesterday’s very controlled day, today has ended up a FD, not my normal type of FD but still under 650cals for the day – I’ll take that!

Did a good 5mile walk this morning with my usual walking group followed by a light lunch out with DD and nothing more to eat since – should be OK if I keep drinking plenty of water until bed time…….

@miraclelou – I never eat breakfast anymore – I always follow a 16:8 eating window on NFD and only have one meal on my FD (unlike today this is normally in the evening) Anyway I find that avoiding breakfast does help controlling calorie intake – good luck! Champagne at a kindergarten farewell party!!! if no food consumed it could still be a LFD 😉
@onahealthyhigh – I too was so upset with the recent events in my old stomping ground – my heart goes out to all my fellow melbournites 🤗
@dykask – been missing your very informative posts – hope work settles and you get to enjoy some time out over the festive season
    @daffodil2010 – good job 💃
@flourbaby – I do the same thing but I have made a promise to myself to do a couple of sessions of yoga at home during the break from class – part of self love we spoke about at our Winter Solstice class ❤️
@busymummam – take the 800cal with a smile and give yourself a pat on the back for good self control x
@missybear – hope you feel better before the big day – see you in January Challenge for maintenance!
@bert1802 – hope you are surviving your last day at work – just think about the holiday after today – I’m sending positive vibes your way for a successful FD – I suspect you are just over half way into your day now x
@songbirdme – I would love a white Christmas but no chance here – it might well be drizzly and overcast one 😞
@califdreamer – great job – like you I’m planning 2 FD next week too 😇

Christmas tree looks fab – even Bah Humbug OH had to admit although he mumbled something about totally unnecessary 😁 I have also got some lovely decorations at the front door!

“Christmas is the proof that this world can become a better place if we have lots of people like all of us on this forum who fill it with happiness and hope”

Day 22 McMinnville Oregon USA – FD
    Day 21 – NFD
Yesterday was another Christmas lunch with friends. The host actually served our plates at each course which made it very difficult, why do people do that??? It sent me off on an oh well over indulgence that eded with pizza and red wine. 🤬🍕🍷
After watching the documentary that @songbirdme sent, I’m feeling a renewed boost on tackling my FD today.
I found a wonderful food/lifestyle blog by a young women from Bucharest, Romania, The Awesome Green. Her focus is vegan and vegetarian, lots of great recipes for that kind of cuisine. http://www.theawesomegreen.com/

@debster251 – How fun, your puppy has arrived!!
@songbirdme – I watched the documentary you sent the link for. It really gave me a boost. I love the science behind this WOL
    @emma Taylor – “SSS”….lol
@diverdog – Your birthday dinner sounds amazing, my mouth is watering. I love Santa Fe, have fun, it will be beautiful at Christmas.
@califdreamer – You are so close!!
@dykask – I’m glad you are working, but miss your posts!!
@daffodil2010 – Congrats on the whoosh!!

    2 der post
@annemarilyn @at yes, I was a little surprised, too about the champagne 🙈. Yet it was the farewell for my son’s nursery nurse (is that the correct word?) after 15 years in this kindergarten. It was so emotional, so many people including myself were crying because this lady was doing such a great job and she will be missed so much!
@at I think it’s a good idea to generally skip breakfast. I used to think I couldn’t leave the house without breakfast but since I’m fasting I realized it’s not that bad. I just love muesli / porridge in the morning 😜
Could also be a dinner though…

    Day 23 – USA – NFD

Blew yesterday’s fast with almost 900 cals….was doing well with 473 cals. all day until OH decided to buy a few beers in the evening…you know I am not going to protest! Enough said! 2 more FDs to go. We’ll see what damage I did at the end of the month.

    Day 23 – Japan – NFD 81.4kg

Fast day went as well as can be expected for this time of the year! Happy today is a non-fast day.

    Day 23,Germany CD
Good morning! Last day before Christmas here in Germany! I know in other parts of the world the big celebration is on the 25th and 26th, right?
Somehow I could not stick to my idea to just weigh in once a month… It’s more like once a week at the moment… After two big binges this month I was very happy with my scale this morning. Today I am planning for a CD: skip breakfast, light lunch and dinner!
@at do you NEVER have breakfast? what about social breakfasts… When you meet with others? Would be happy to learn from your experience!
Have a good day everyone, FD, NFD, LFD or CD… We’ll do this together! Onwards and downwards!
