  • Hi
I have cystic fibrosis. I am pretty well with it by doing chest physio and nebulisers, antibiotics when required. My pancreas is half way sufficient (i.e. I don’t need to take creon or make sure I eat high fat food to keep the weight on I just need vitamins to top up my fat soluble vitamin levels, and calcium as I am osteopaenic.) I am 4ft 11 and 8 stone 13 which makes me overweight, or just on the cusp anyway. I was wanting to be my pre 3 children weight which was 8 stone. Could you tell me if this 5:2 is ok for people with CF? My CF team don’t seem to know.
    Thanks so much x

    Hello

As far as I know, although I am not a medic and certainly not a CF specialist, there has been no research on 5:2 and CF. The fast diet book has the standard advice for anyone with medical conditions to consult their doctor. I think you would need to be guided by your medical team.

    Wishing you all the best
    Bootsy
