  • Hi yall! I was wondering, if you burn more than you consume you will lose weight , so Example: 2,500 calories burned – 1,500 calories eaten = excess burned of 1000 Calories.
What I am wondering is, do I have to eat less then my tdee ? If my tdee is example: if I burn around 1000 calories and eat 2030, should I eat 1700 calories instead? Cause it is kinda confusing to do the math with counting calories while im on the fast diet too. Appreciate all the ansetts I can get about this, anyone who knows this? 🙂

    Hi Best and welcome:

You have to eat less than your TDEE to lose weight.

5:2 does that by making you eat 5/600 calories twice a week. If you eat to your TDEE or less the remaining five days, you have to lose weight.

Number 4 on this post explains TDEE: https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!
