can you fast longer?

I was looking to do the fast day on alternate days to eating days? Can you do this or is it only 5:2??

Jennifer, I have already answered in your other thread. This site is called “the 5:2 fast diet” for a reason: it is NOT a site for alternate day fasting. Some people here might have experimented with ADF but most do 5:2 IF.

There are people who do ADF and other IF schedules in the forums of

fastday

which seems to be populated by people who were originally 5:2 or are 5:2 with an additional IF schedule on top (such as 16:8 or Fast 5).
