I don’t like black coffee but Bovril is very helpful on my fast days. Just thought I’d share in case it helps anyone else.
@laurab76 Bovril is fine but you have to be aware of the very high salt content – one cube has approx 50% of the RDA of salt – and this can contribute to water retention.
There are the same number of calories (13)in 25m – the amount you’d put in tea or coffee – of semi skimmed milk (only 9 if you use skimmed) as in one Bovril cube (13) – so no reason not to have your coffee. Just include the calories in your 500.
