  • Hi all 🙂

I wrote an article recently about the top 5 mistakes made by new fasters – it seems to be proving quite popular so I thought I’d share it with you all 🙂

Can you think of any I’ve missed? If so I can always write a follow-up article 🙂

    Happy fasting!

Getting complacent about your intake on regular days after succeeding at losing and ending up on a plateau because of it. This happens to me every couple of months, I get sloppier about portion sizes because I feel so comfy with the diet.

Thanks for that! I’ll have to start getting a list together for the next article as I already thought of a couple more I missed!

Hi has anybody tried the fast diet for 3 days a week instead of 2? Is this to much? Is it healthy? Im new to this diet, Thanks guys.

Yes, there are quite a lot of 4:3ers over on FastDay 🙂 You can find out more about the different methods of IF as well as 5:2, here:

    Hi chutch and welcome:

Here are some tips for those just starting 5:2. https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

Number 4 addresses what is known as 4:3. There is also Alternate Day Fasting – every other day. It is up to you what you do, but most find starting with 5:2, taking a couple of months to figure out how it works, and then deciding what to do next is the best way to go.

    Good Luck!

    Hi Moogie
Just read your article and found it very helpful. I recognised many of the traits described! It’s good to keep reminding myself of the basics, as I reckon it’s human nature to wander off track.
    Thank you.

I would suggest avoid meal skipping. Many people believe skipping meals is a fast way to cut down calories, but in the end, they don’t succeed to lose weight. Rather You’ll be more probable to overeat or even binge if you not take regular meals.
