  • Hi, I’m new to this and just successfully completed week 1 with a loss of 3lb (yippee!). I have a question though, according to my figures I should be eating 1500 calories a day on non-fast days (we call them dust days!). So, should I really be eating a quarter of this on fast days or the 500 recommended for women?
    Thanks in advance. Becky

    Hi Becky and welcome:

It is all right to start with 500 until your body gets used to this way of eating – especially as you have lost weight. As you go forward, you can go to 1/4 of your TDEE, and many shoot for not eating anything on their diet days.

    Good Luck!

Ah makes sense, thanks so much!
