  • US Day 15 *my 2nd day. Fasting day.

Thank you Coda and everybody. First, I want to ask about fatigue. I feel exhausted. While I have not been a fount of energy, today I can barely make it out of bed. I do not feel ill. Just tired. Have any of you experienced this?

Let me say, I do not feel the absence of food. But I did feel hungry this morning.

Well, I did not review the posts like I thought I would because I spent the next 12 hours reading up (and listening to lectures) on intermittent fasting, ADF, and all the rest. James Johnson. Dr. Taylor of Newcastle. Dr. Fung of Canada.

I cannot believe I knew nothing of this research until yesterday!!

This is what I did yesterday: Struggled to keep below 500 kcals and succeeded!!! The scale was down .4 lb. Which is major for me because for 6 months, with active trying, the scale had not moved down one tenth of a pound.

My reading is explaining the whys of it.

So today, I tried for a second consecutive Fasting Day this time trying to minimize the feeding window, which I narrowed to 6 hours.

    Thank you all.

    Brasil dia 15 desafio!!perdido!!

End of day #15, FD. Went for a long walk/hike in the morning. I had some problems in the afternoon, had to eat more (800 cal.), felt dizzy. Tomorrow a NFD and then Tuesday another FD for me. Have a great week!

US SE Day 15 – NFD. Hard to keep track of food and drink with company staying but I’m trying. I don’t know what I’d do without reading the comments every day. It’s inspiring and keeps me going. When things get tough I go online and read the new ones and they take me over the hump. Thank you all!

Australia – Day 16 – 26 days to go of challenge.

    Water fasting today.

    Fasts – 8 Non fasts – 8

Hi Coda, may I join in please?

I have been 5: 2 ing since late 2014. Have health challenge meaning I’m mobile bt can’t exercise. Lost 16kgs(35lbs/2stone 7lbs) in 11 months on 5:2. Since then maintaining for 8 months and now ready to begin weight loss again to reach my goal weight of 62kgs(136 1/2 lbs/9stone 10lbs). I’ve been on my new track during May and would like to join you lovely lot all over the world. I am female in 60’s. Anticipating you will say yes🙂 here’s my 1st report in.

East Coast of Australia, day 16 – FD, weight this morning 67.3kgs (148lbs or 10stone 8lbs). I fast till 6pm then 1 meal of 375cals (1/4 of my TDEE). During day I drink water, weak black Earl Grey tea, and Peppermint tea. Dinner will be basa fish (a low cal fish and calamari, also low cal seafood in white miso soup with low cal veggies, celery, carrot,, broccoli, king oyster mushroom, zucchini, and a cut up nori sheet (dried seaweed). Then small piece of lower cal fruit e.g. Rockmelon (cantaloupe) or apple, and small amount of low fat non sugar plain yoghurt.

    NL day 16
    FD today.

UK 16 – FD today…current plan is to eat all my calories late afternoon. I can get through everything I need to do this morning on the basis of all I ate at the weekend (!), and eating late afternoon will enable me to do all I need to do this evening…trying to fit 3 evenings’ worth of meetings into one evening so I don’t need to get a baby-sitter in while other half is away.

U.K. NFD. On reading these posts I worry about the obsessing some people seem to do with the whole calorie count thing. Isn’t the point of the 5:2 that you can STOP obsessing and just eat healthy between fast days? This isn’t meant to be Weight Watchers but HARDER! I appreciate all the emotional and situational stuff people deal with that gets translated into what they put in their months but there seem to be a lot of folks on this thread that are folding old dieting habits into this programme when the point is to change your lifestyle. Please don’t think I am being harsh I just think people need to stop beating themselves up about the “good” behaviours vs “bad ” behaviours when it comes to food choices. In the end NO ONE puts the food in your mouth for you. There are a lot of politics about the whole feeding issue which you need to confront if you want long term success.
    Moan over.

    France Day 16
Coda, thank you for your support when I was bemoaning my measurements not going down. They have by now. I have lost two inches each from the bust and waist and one inch from the thigh since I began back in April. What a relief. My overall weight loss since May 1st is 3 kilos. No wonder I am walking with more of a spring in my step! I am beginning to see some definition starting to show in my body at last.

belied, like you, I knew nothing of all this research until recently. It is certainly interesting. I saw the Ted video yesterday about the affects of fasting on the brain, and feel we are heading in the right direction. I also felt dizzy on the morning after a two day fast. Apparently the body will adjust.

I have less struggles than most because I am alone and isolated. However tomorrow I am going to the UK for three days and goodness knows how I will keep to the diet during that time.

UK day 15 Monday start of week 3 for me Feeling positive ,caught up on the highs and lows on the forum Looking forward to whatever this week brings

Hello Coda and Everyone on the forum 🙂
It so happens that I started my newest attempt with this diet at the beginning of May, so I retrospectively accept the challenge.

In 2013-14 I tried this diet many times – and failed – but this time the “feeling” seems different. It is very true that everyone needs to develop his/her own specific version of this regime. To me the turning point has been when at the start of this new attempt I went through 24 hours without eating, (just drinking water and taking vitamins). I physically felt an overall positive change both in my body and mind. Since then I am no longer afraid of staying away from food and I think that changed the effectiveness of this method.

I hope it’s not too early to rejoice, but I’ve lost 2 kgs since the start. This time the sense of initial success motivates me. In general my main motivations is still to lose weight and to try to bring down my cholesterol level via this diet. (My high cholesterol is a recent development that I want to fight only via natural methods)

One of the hindering factors I found difficult to overcome is the lack of “official” support for this diet in the mainstream. Specifically my doctor’s and personal trainer’s outright negative attitude towards this regime has for a long time kept me away from trying it again. I write from Europe/Mainland, so maybe it’s just a location-specific experience. I wonder if the UK is different in this regard? Has this diet made it into peer-reviewed scientific literature? If I could refer to such source, that might help them to change their minds.

Are there reported good results on reducing cholesterol levels? Is there a topic/thread dedicated to my questions?

Thank you in advance for your replies/suggestions. 🙂

Hi uk day 16. Swopped my usual fd on monday to tomorrow as it suits better.

I think Troyca at the beginning of 5:2 it helps a lot of people to learn what their calorie intake should be and what it looks like. So if this 6 week challenge helps people learn what they can eat and lose weight it will be a success. A lot of people start 5:2 under the impression nfd’s are free days. When they don’t lose weight it is the nfd’s that have done the damage. I think we all look forward to the day when we instinctively know our limit and our choice is 99.9% healthy. At this stage it may look a bit obsessive but this will be short term as I know I certainly do not want to be counting calories for the rest of my life. It is getting something you can live with and for some counting will be how they stay in control. It is a learning curve for a lot of people as to why they choose to eat something they deem good or bad and usually nothing to do with hunger. 5:2 I hope will reset the button and people for the first time eat because they are actually hungry.

Well done ABC1 the wait was worth it!

Welcome Merryme off course you can join. You seem to have grasped the idea.

Edzeko had a look at look at fitness blenders and am going to give it a go. Thanks.

Hi Goldmoon welcome – I and others know exactly what you mean when you mention fasting. The look of horror – you are doing what?????. There was a link a few posts back that was very interesting about the benefits on the brain by fasting. Have a look at that. I also know some on this forum who have been encouraged by their doctors to start 5:2 not only to lose weight but for the additional health benefits. I guess it comes down to how interested they are and not dismissive out of hand. Maybe time to look for another PT? With regards to lowering cholesterol I am sure somewhere on this forum if not someone on this thread has had blood work tested.

US/Day 16 – fast day today…plan to liquid fast until dinner. Grilled chicken and roasted peppers. Have a busy productive day all!

US Day 16: Wow! So much reading for me to do, just from missing Sunday! It’s been fun to catch up.

FD for me today! Sipping on black tea and planning my day. Going to try and keep busy with the kids and haven’t planned dinner quite yet. Thinking of having a green smoothie in the afternoon as a little pick me up and then the rest of my FD calories for dinner. A little bit hungry this morning, but I know it will pass. It’s a sunny and bit chilly morning and planning a walk with the littles.

Fishing Gran – Hope your finger is feeling much better.

Troyca – I know for me, counting calories at first for my NFD really helped me see how much I was actually eating (before starting 5:2). This was my first time counting calories. This past weekend I didn’t enter everything into MFP and I felt good about it, like I was better able to judge. I agree with you that it should be a lifestyle change…and over the next couple weeks I am hoping to not have to google how many calories is in this or that and have an overall idea and sense.

Coda – I think I may have put 13 and 14 for Saturday and Sunday when I should have put 14 and 15.

From USA. Good morning everyone. This is week two, FD number 3 for me. Weighing in at 136 lbs, I’d love to lose 8-10 lbs.

i did quite well eating a bit less on non FD yesterday. This is what i’m hoping for. That this practice will help heal my relationship with emotional eating.

Have an awesome day – especially everyone who is fasting today.

USA, Day 16 / 26 to go. Fasting today.
    Happy losing everybody!

Hi DorothyG I am getting quite good at checking people in so don’t worry I got you on the correct days lol.

Fishinggran hope the finger is healing well. I got one of those mandolin cutters and first time using it sliced the top of one of my fingers, not too bad that I needed a Dr though. I found it hurt more as it was healing, every little knock, ouch and before you ask I found the missing bit so not added to vegetables for added protein lol. Note to ones self use the guard that comes with it!

Strongx3 are you intending to join us or are you just dropping in to say hello?

US, Day 16 – Brrrrrr! It’s a brisk 40 degrees in NYC. Today is a Fast Day. Coffee in the am, switching to Lemon Zinger and Peppermint tea later on. Dinner will be a small portion of Kimchi Chicken with soba. ..or maybe I’ll use bean spaghetti instead.

Just left the cafe floor at work where walnuts were calling to me. 9:15 am. Went for the Green tea instead.

Day 16, UK: Fasting day. I just got home from work. I am starving but will hold out until 6pm making it a 24-hour water-only fast. Its a beautiful sunny day here in the Cotswolds, makes delivering the mail almost a pleasure!

    Anonymous

Coda! …that missing bit…made me laugh! Glad its healed! Good advice to use the guard. I was a nurse and people know to find me when things happen. My neighbor sliced his finger real bad using the mandolin. Bandaged him up and off to the ER. His finger was a mess. Then two weeks later the same thing happened to his wife. So please be careful using that mandolin!

Today I’m water fasting. Have no problems at all. Probably because I threw out the ***** pretzels. Now that I’m not putting so much artificial and other junk into my body I started looking at other areas like what do I put on my face every day and what am I washing laundry with. (I realize I’m writing to keep me busy – but it helps!) So about 2 months ago I made my DIY deodorant, toothpaste, lotion and washing detergent and am pleased as ever to know what I put on my face etc. but better still: the results are better than using the things from the store. All these recipes I found online, baking soda being the key ingredient to many. Baking soda is my newest buddy :> So much you can use it for: fridge, vacuumcleaner, sneakers, perspiration, etc. And it’s so cheap too! (Hey….I’m Dutch right?!)

And to not be a couch potato on FD I’ve started ‘life laundry’. Wow…….getting rid of all items unneeded or unwanted in the house. A friend of mine is a professional organizer and told me to look at the Marie Kondo method. That’s an eye opener too! Not that I will thank my socks for protecting my feet that day; nor do I empty my handbag every day but her methods do work for me. I can now, without feeling bad or guilty, discard of items belonging to my parents (they passed away months apart in 2013).

So, at 59 years of age it’s all coming together and I’m nearly where I want to be: good weight, good health and happy home. Now all I still need is a job….I’m positive that will come too!! Pff……..time for a good walk!! Be safe all!

Day 16 – FD today. Coffee with cinnamon, and water with lime to start my day. I have some projects at work this week that will cause extra pressure. I’m interested to see whether these circumstances affect my fasting.

I understand what you are saying, Troyca. There is always a balance to be found in striving to be your best self, and obsession. I’m probably like most other people on this forum though. My metabolism is pretty lazy, and unforgiving. The difference between gaining weight and not gaining weight (or losing weight – in a perfect world), is found in the details.

Day 16 FD Illinois – weight and measurements posted in tracker. No change for the last 2 weeks. UGH! I think I need to exercise more. Even though I try to get to Curves 3 times a week, I don’t always make it. Sit too much other days. UGH!

Day 16 in Los Angeles, checking in. No posts from me since 5/13(12?) due to a long weekend out of town with friends. Had a great time but almost certainly went over TDEE on at least 2 days, but probably not by much. I wasn’t counting cals though, so I could be living in denial! Back to my regular schedule today with a Monday FD. I really appreciate how the 5:2 approach lets me feel like I’m in command of my choices, free to choose what I want to eat, and how much, while also making me feel fully responsible and accountable for the consequences of those choices. Not enough time to look through all the posts since my last check in — I’ll do that later today when I’m hungry!

USA (Minnesota) Day 16 FD. I had a fun splurge day yesterday. Wine and cheese and other good stuff. I was quite over my TDEE. The scale showed an increase this morning but I’m ok with that. And I need to stop weighing myself daily. I told myself I wouldn’t do that. Just twice a week is enough for me, I think. I had 3 FDs last week so I’m assuming I will still lose a little this week. It will be interesting to see how it all works out. Good luck everyone and have a good day.

Day 16. NorCal USA. FD for me today. Started my day at 0300 for another 12 hour shift. I have better strategy today. Just finished some tea and a little walk on my first break of the day. Will have a 200 cal lunch later today. I will see how I feel at dinner, maybe I will skip it. I will get caught up reading this thread this evening. Time to get back to work.

California day #16, NFD. I’m doing well, lost another lb. Not so hungry after the FD yesterday. My cold is almost gone. Ready for another FD tomorrow. This week I’ll try 4:3 to see how it goes.

I made crapes yesterday for my husband and didn’t even taste them. I don’t really like sweets so it was not a big deal for me. I used almond flour, mineral water and eggs plus real maple syrup. This recipe is simple, light and delicious.

    Have a great week!

UK Day16 and a FD for me. It’s going well so far but I have reached the pre-supper danger zone, so I’m just checking in to bolster my self control. Normally my husband cooks on my FDs so I can keep out of the kitchen altogether but he’s out so it’s down to me. Thai green curry with scallops tonight, yum. Will have a small portion no noodles. Thanks all as usual for the interesting posts

Pacific NW USA: Day 16 NFD

Tried 16:8 yesterday which I know was just a dabble on a NFD but will continue today, trying to figure out best 8 to merge with OH’s schedule. And in light of ABC’s pnas.org article which I just scanned this is all very interesting, thanks ABC1.

Belied – I’m just a newbie with a grand total of 16 days on 5:2 under my belt (literally) but last week I had a very low energy day when I had to actually pry myself off the couch but the day after was a complete turn around when I felt even more energy than usual on a FD. It gave me a little more courage to continue and I hope the same for you!

Dutch – what a life epiphany! I’ll eye the boxes in my garage as I leave on my walk to see if I feel any of your inspiration!

    16 Challenge – Brazil

I have not lost weight last week.
    Today I am fasting.

Someone with deficiency in vitamin D, which difference in weight reduction?

    Hugs and good week

    Day 16 frae bonnie Scotland!
Day off today which ended up spending most of it in the car doing errands before leaving for 2 weeks holiday. It was really cold when we got to Pittenweem, and ended up at our favourite chocolate shop and indulged in a hot chocolate to warm us up. Having had that we decided that our fast day was royally screwed up, so for the first time since starting, moved our FD to tomorrow. Had soup for lunch then chilli beans for dinner with stewed plums and yoghurt. Still under TDEE but definitely not a fast day. Working morrow, so fast day should just fly by. Tomorrow night will be just eating up leftovers in the fridge, so should be a good fast day. I will be able to check in as normal whilst away, time permitting, but if my posts are intermittent during the next two weeks Coda, you will know we are having a good time!
Dutch – ve4ry impressed with throwing out the pretzels. that shows you are in control. Also great stuff on concocting your own soaps and powders etc. I have recipes to do this, but have put it off till after holidays, as there has to be some leeway while we are away. Will check out the Marie Kondo method of decluttering, as it’s something I do regularly, but still seem to have a lot of ‘stuff’
Goldmoon – my cholesterol was at 5.81 and high blood pressure when I started 5:2, after 16 months, chole4strol down to 5. and pressure normal levels. I have done 5:2 to the letter from Dr M’s book, no extremes, and reached goal of 9 stone in March. Maintaining now, but still doing 5:2 as I feel much better and in the routine now.
Troyca – I too feel that sometimes people take things a bit far in an effort to lose weight quickly. We have to remember this is a way of eating for life, so it has to be doable. However, I found by checking in to MFP regularly, it helped me not to overeat on NFD. It was surprising that although I felt I was eating healthily, my portion sizes were way over the top. Over time, I have managed not to cook so much, and portion sizes not bring my eating within TDEE.
It is so easy to guestimate a cup/6 ozs/ 100 gms, but be way over. Now I have a better judgement of what is on my plate, and often fill in MFP for the day in the morning, so I know if I have calories left for treats during the day.
Well done everyone for sticking with it. One day at a time. Try not to look too far ahead, all you have to do is fast for two days a week, and the weight will come off, and you will start to feel energised. TTL

Day 16. UK . FD. A good day kept under my 483cals, decided to buy a ready meal chicken salad, calories counted just to make life easier when going to daughter and grandchildren for the day. I decided to buy the 5.2 book by Kate Harrison , very good as it takes you through her experiences on …5.2. lots of science reasearch about the health benefits to intermittent fasting, so interesting!
Thankyou all for this thread, so much information, and great to hear how everyone is getting on. Good luck to you all!

Good Morning from South Australia Day 17
Had a FD yesterday instead of today. I was so busy in the morning and suddenly it was lunch time and I just did not feel hungry so I just missed lunch as well. It was very easy not to eat and I had lots of energy, very different to my previous, difficult FD. Now I have one NFD today until my Wednesday weekly weigh in.
I am always suprised that no matter how I carefully program FDs on Wednesday for the following week, checking my calandar so they don’t clash with social events etc, how often things happen unexpectedly that I then have to deal with without turning to the comfort of food. Yesterday evening I got a phone call from my elderly mother who insists on living alone and independently who had got an electric shock from her ancient electric kettle. She was OK she said but I am driving the 50 mile round journey this morning with a new kettle to make sure. FDs seem full of unexpected suprises like this, some good and some bad, but you just need to learn to deal with them I have found.
All the scientific research is so interesting but so is the application in our ordinary lives, which are full of unanticipated events, which is the real test of whether this WOE is genuinely sustainable.
Have a great 5:2 day everyone

    Hello from Spain.
Melilotus, you made me laugh out loud!
I hope you enjoyed your crapes!

I have a very easy recipe for pancakes. We make it for breakfast on a non fast day.I find that it keeps me from snacking and it’s quite filling
Use the same size cup or a glass for everything
    1 cup of flour
    1 cup of milk
    A pinch of salt
    1 egg
Whisk all the ingredients until smooth and fry using a spray of oil.It makes around 7 to 8 thin crepes
I serve them with lemon and salt. The kids put fruit on theirs or jam.
    Success all round

    Just finished a fast day.
Made a turkey stir fry with lots of veg and some noodles. Again, all the family ate it and no one complained or died – so far.
Doing well but hungry as I had a great weekend with my family.
This forum has kept me on course.
Thanks and that kind you for the laughs

Has anyone made savory pancakes with chickpea flour? They are popular in my house.

    Day 17 Aus NFD.

Enjoyable day yesterday, spent touring small country towns and walking along one of the spectacular ocean beaches close to where we live. We were lucky enough to spy two endangered hooded plovers dodging in and out of the surf. Such delightful little pot bellied creatures. Dogs are banned on the beach to protect the plovers nesting area, but as usual we spotted large foot prints. I love my dogs but it saddens me to think that people can be so callous to walk their dogs in a protected area.

Troyca, I do agree, 5:2 is a WOL and it worries me the extremes I read on this thread.
I bought Dr Moseley’s book and followed it to the letter. I allowed myself 500 calories on FD and relaxed on NFDs. However, Coda’s words of wisdom reminded me of the changes I made to my eating habits. I didn’t count calories but my kitchen scales and measuring cups and spoons became my best friends. On FDs I followed recipes from the book or my favourite website thepaddingtonfoodie.com.au. By doing this I learnt portion control which helped on NFDs. I now keep measuring cups and spoons with all my dry ingredients so I know exactly how much to use e.g I have a 1/3 cup in the oats container.

By doing 5:2 my cholesterol, bloodsugars and blood pressure have all improved. My doctor said I have the blood pressure of a 21 year old! For someone threatened with medication I couldn’t be happier.

    Tomorrow is a fast day.

    U.K. Day 16

Sorry to miss a post yesterday Coda – no excuse, just a mad day.

Today was a fast day – my fourth one – and it is getting easier. For whole chunks if the day I didn’t think about food. The scales are shifting , I am feeling better and have much more energy – already!

    FD TODAY.

    Québec, day 16
We had snow today in Québec. Cold and humid. Full unpleasant.
Also,I had an osteopathic treatment And a visit at the dentist. I am quite exhausted. Did not fast today as I was supposed to.
Tomorrow will be a FD. I will try to have only liquids untill late afternoon.
    Bye bye for now.

UK day 15…. Been a few days since my last check in. I’m not sure where this week has gone but i do know that my eyes are fighting to close as i type this yet again! Not a great week as 5:2 got lost in the background as did planned exercise. Weigh day today and lost 3lbs. Total loss 11lbs (6 on 5:2) Happy with this although not sure how it happened.

Lovely to read about everyone and see some new joiners…..i aim to start afresh this week 😀

East coast of Australia, day 17, nonFD and day after FD
weight 66.8, and loss of 0.5kg ( just over 1lb)
Began may at 69.1kg so total loss for May so far is 2.3kgs(5lbs). Yay!

Some observations of my journey on 5:2 over 18months:

    1. FDs – if I eat before evening mea it wakens The Hunger Dragon I started eated with 2 small meals and a couple of nibbles, but was often fighting hunger. Shifting to 1 at end of day meant I’m not hungry till late in the afternoon and just have a hot weak black tea, or clean teeth and drink of water and I’ fine. This after suggestion by someone on forum.

    2. I plateaued after a few months and losing didn’t restart despite being vigilant. Again after suggestion from forum, I tried eliminating all starchy carbohydrates from my food. Started going down again. I have tested this 3 times and each time my weight loss stops. For me those starchy carbs are: any grains, potatoes, pumpkin, sweet potato, legumes, I eat low cal lower GI carbohydrates in some vegetables and some fruit.

    3. My 8 months maintaining through a period of high and sometimes acute stress taught me that if I start gaining, it’s because I overeat on nonFDs. The portion size begins to creep up.

    4. I’m a stress eater, and ‘tired’ eating i.e. I can interpret tiredness as hunger.

To answer a couple of posts:

Re calorie counting: counted calories everyday for 1st 3 weeks while I worked out menus, meals etc
Every few months I count cals for a few days to do a reality check. It’s about learning, not obsession. Reporting on the forum keeps it real and stops fudging.

Doctors: My doctor is very happy I’m on 5:2. My exercise physiologist who I do stretching and light rehabilitation with is very happy. My cardiologist is ecstatic about my experience on 5:2. I no longer have to go for yearly round of heart tests, my heart is functioning better on it, I am totally off blood pressure medication The science is behind this regime also.

Aussie day 17 I agree this is a learning curve I did 5.2 before not understanding about eating within my tdee wished i had known sooner at the moment i am just trying to eat well as antibiotics are making me feel ill so no fast this week i will just be conscious of what i do eat.

    ANAIDE,

    Some suggestions:

    1. Are you eating too much on your 5 days? Do you know your TDEE? 5 days eating should be no more than your TDEE.

    2. Are you adding calories in your drinks?

    3. Try eating less starchy carbohydrates, for example bread, pasta, rice, and replace with more protein or low calories carbohydrates.

I was low in Vitamin D because I must be too long in the house because of poor health. I try to go outside in the sun for 10-15 min each day. I take Vit D3 capsules. Always wearing sunscreen in hot countries like Australia means many are now Vit D deficient. Best source is the sun for short period each day.
    Hugs to you🙂

Australia Day 17 NFD – had a FD yesterday and got through it easily again. Given how I used to overeat and how I would be almost uncontrollable in the evenings I can’t believe how easy I am finding these FDs. It really is mind-over matter. Troyca I know what you mean re taking things to extremes – that is what I have done my whole life hence the yoyo dieting. But I also agree with others who have said we were such over-eaters we have needed to watch everything on NFDs to make sure we don’t exceed our TDEEs. I had tried 5:2 last year but was not successful. I realise now it was because of excessive eating on NFDs. BTW – re all the comments on medical support for 5:2 – I am back on it now because my GP strongly recommended it. Have a good day all.

US SE Day 16 NFD. I normally have a FD today but with company here and a trip for a tour of the State House and the Zoo, it was to difficult to keep under my FD calories. I will do the FD tomorrow instead. I did get a lot of exercise though between the tour and walking around the zoo. It was a beautiful day here and everyone really enjoyed themselves. My company leave tomorrow for a week to tour around Charleston and Savannah so I will have a week of normal before they come back and spend the last couple of days of their vacation with me before they fly home. Good luck this week everyone!

    USA 15 of 42,
    Still on holiday,will return tomorrow.
Did do a lot of walking today.
Really ready for a FD,so hard to know the calories in a carrot muffin or chicken
salad from a cafe. The scale will reflect if my choices were correct!
I’m totally more aware/mindful of what I eat. NO desserts only fruit or dark chocolate almonds! Yum!
    Good night!

    Australia – Day 17 – 25 days to go of challenge 🙂

A non fast day today. Just watching the kids playing in the yard with our poddy lamb. She has taken to head butting a soccer ball, which the kids think is hilarious. We put 5 sheep in with her, two of which have lambs around her age (a couple of months old) and the three lambs all play with it too. When the ball moves they jump around kicking their legs. So funny.

Have a good day all. Almost half way through challenge!!

Australia Day 17 FD for me. Feeling very tired today and had an upset tummy this morning. It may be my weekend sugar overload paying me back. Also the scales tipped up 0.2kg so that hasn’t helped my mood. I will definitely put a bit more thought into my NFDs this week!
