At 20:20 local time I dare to say I made it through my first day of “fasting”. Since I never had much problem skipping breakfast as long as I get my tea, I added some milk (130 g to be exact) to a big mug and went to work. Had a 45 minute walk in beautiful Stockholm and a banana at lunch time. The evening meal was a 2 egg omelette with tomatoes, chives and half a mozzarella.
What I learned today is that I didn’t get extremely hungry, that oolong tea consumed throughout the day probably helps quite a bit and that the little cravings I got was not for sweets, junk food or even pasta but for prawns and other seafood.
However, my mail takeaway is that I need to carefully plan my “big” meal for fast days better. Couldn’t even imagine going shopping today so everything needs to be at the house the day before the fast. And still, the leafy greens are so much fresher bought the same day.
Any thoughts on that from more experienced fasters?
