Half Marathon

  • I started runnning a year ago and i have lost 3 stone. I am now looking to run my first half marathon this year- The Perkins Great Eastern Run. Can anyone else advise if they got into running to lose weight and how did you find your first half marathon? Thanks

    Hi Andrew, I started running a few years ago and gradually built my way up to half marathon distance. It’s by far my favourite. First one was amazing and such a huge sense of achievement after months of training. I actually didn’t lose much weight whilst training but the inches just dropped off which I was happy with. Unfortunately due to an Achilles injury I had to stop for 6 months and have only recently began again slowly. Your run looks great, I hope you enjoy it and reap the rewards of all your hard work.
