  • 46 years old, a few stone overweight and as a police officer I really should be fitter and in better shape. Plus all my blood results are edging towards the danger zones so finally I think I’ve found something that will work in the Fast diet/lifestyle. A lot of cops really do have dreadful diets and eating habits and I’m one of them. Combine constantly changing shift work with insane amounts of stress and pressure along with often having to eat what you can when you can and sometimes very quickly leads to a disastrous diet. So after 13 years of this I’ve had enough, I’m taking back control of my diet and my lifestyle and hoping to see and feel the benefits as a result.

So far so good, I fasted on Monday and Tuesday and didn’t find it too tricky but the revelation was on day 3 when I woke up, I didn’t feel particularly hungry and enjoyed a simple bowl of porridge for my brekky. And I feel convinced having only put two days effort into it that its triggered some kind of positive mental signpost as I don’t feel inclined to snack or eat all the usual crap and safe in the knowledge that I can eat what I want I’d rather eat more healthily.

The wife is convinced she’s going to have Daniel Craig on the beach this summer! Not sure those trunks would suit me but I’m going to try!

Great start – glad you’re feeling so positive! See you on the beach 😉

So far, 10lbs lost, 3 inches off my waist and having to buy new clothes as some of mine are hanging off me and are too big, woohoo. I did plateau for a few weeks but didn’t put any on and am back on track. Feeling better all round and motivated to carry on.
