First week

  • Hi everyone.

    I’m Samantha, I’m 23 years old and had my first week of 5:2 this week. I have done two days of fasting (620cals and 520cals) the other days I have eaten between 1200-1600.
    I’m a bit of a gym bunny so I have been to the gym twice this week and done 3 home workouts.
    I have just done my stats and my weight has stayed the same although I have lost 2″ around my belly, 1″ around my waist, 1.5″ around my thighs combined and 2″ around my arms combined. So a total inch loss of 6.5″. Is this normal?
    I felt bad when I stepped off the scale but do feel better after measuring everywhere.

    Hi Samantha
    I believe this is perfectly normal with this way of eating. Be patient and keep at it. You are probably just retaining fluid.
    The cm’s loss is fantastic, and really, at the end of the day, that is all that counts, right? (unless you are part of a trapeze troup!) lol
