  • Hi

I am turning 26 soon. I have never tried a diet before. I am hoping to drop 25 kgs. I want to make this diet a permanent life style choice and want some help sticking to it.

    Hi shreekuttu,

Welcome and good on you for making your decision to change your lifestyle rather than just get back to a normal weight. You’ll get lots of help on here. I suggest that 1st, you click on ‘Active Topics’ above, then go to page 2 and find the thread on advice for newbies that was started by simcoeluv. Read the first entry by simcoeluv and give yourself a headstart. Have you read the 5:2 book or seen the documentary by Dr Michael Mosely? These will help too. I’d also suggest you look through the list of threads and find at least 1 to join, and stay on there with a group of oeople who are already at farious stages of their journey to better health and normal weight.

I’ve been on 5:2 for a year, and am close to my normal weight now, enjoying the process and intend to make this a lifelong way of life with some adjustments to maintenance. My health has also improved.

Good Luck, stick to it, remember there’s lot’s of help on the forum, and after initial few weeks of adjusting to it, this is a very doable lifestyle.
    Cheers,
    Merry
