Hi, I’m a newbie to this forum. This will be my third time on the 5:2. Lost 10lbs the first time but a change of job made it difficult to stick to. The second time was very half-hearted and didn’t lose anything. The recent heat wave in the UK made me realise that if I weighed less I would probably have coped better with the heat. I have, at most, 28 kgs to lose. I’ve also noticed my knees are struggling slightly if I’ve knelt down a can’t get up so easily.
As I’ve never been a keen exerciser and have had many gym memberships over the years I need to do exercise for free as I am unemployed at the moment and I’ve decided that means power walking. I was looking through my cd’s and found that the “Hits of Erasure” from the 80’s/early 90’s to have a very good BPM for this. Or at least 12 to 15 of the tracks. I wondered what other music people walk to. Has anyone else managed to lose weight without having to do high intensity, or group exercise.
