Hi All, starting 5:2 again after a terrible January and February. When I calculate my TDEE, even though I work in an office, I walk almost everyday for around 40 mins – 1 hour. Do I put my status as sedentary, lightly or moderatively active? Thanks

Hi:
For some reason, most TDEE calculators give too high of a number for TDEE. I know mine, and virtually every calculator I try gives a number 2 to 400 calories per day higher than it is.
So I recommend you use ‘sedentary’. You really can’t go wrong doing it. If it is accurate, great. If it is ‘low’, you will lose weight faster.
Here are some other thoughts on TDEE: http://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/tdee-for-the-curious-or-why-dont-i-lose-weight-faster/
Good Luck!
