Started on Thursday!

  • Hi, just thought i’d see if anyone has any tips, I started the 5:2 diet on thursday and have almost completed my 2 fasting days (monday and tuesday) I am quite unfit as broke my ankle 6 months ago (which is why i’m dieting) so haven’t done any exercise since before august last year. I did 15 mins on the treadmill today (and then my ankle started to play up!)
    I’ve been drinking mostly water since thursday (apart from sunday when i had a few drinks!) and snacking on jelly.

    Well done on your fasts so far, sounds like you got it under control lol! As for tips i am not sure what you need to know?
    This forum has a web of knowledge so have a good look around, all i would say is plan your meals in advance when you are fasting, keep to your TDEE on normal days, and when you feel fit enough add some exercise 🙂

    Sounds like your off to a good start, with the fast diet you have to find the formula that works for you. Some folks do their fast day meal all at once, and others like me like to break it up. Best advice is don’t go too crazy on your feast days, and read through the forum and see what everyone else is doing. There is certainly a wealth of knowledge here!

    Thanks guys, I think I’ve done pretty well so far! My sister bought Chinese home for tea yesterday and I sat and snacked on jelly haha, kept telling myself I didn’t want it!
