Should I eat 500 calories? I'm a small woman!

  • I am still in my first two weeks of beginning this diet.. I am doing alternate day fasting, so I fast every other day. I eat 500 calories on fast days and 1500-1800(Some days I have difficulty reaching 1600 cal) on non fast days. Should I be eating less on my fast days for this diet to work? I’m very petite and not very heavy, I’m doing this to lose the last ten lbs. What do you think? Should I eat less than 500 cal on fast days?

    I’m 152 cm (or 5 feet tall) and started with a BMI in the healthy range. I have been on this diet since 1 June and have always consumed 500 calories on fastdays.I have lost 4 kg and quite a few centimetres. It’s not fast, but it does seem effective. I am fast approaching the bottom of the healthy BMI range.

    I often weight train on fast days and commute by pushbike (13 km total).
