Please can anyone answer these questions?

  • Hi everyone. We have been watching Michael Mosely in ” Trust me I’m a doctor” and my husband did the Fast diet some time ago. I was looking at the book” A fast Life” and intended to buy it. Thing is what I wanted to know is,can you do all these things for the health benefits WITHOUT losing weight. Neither of us need to,and at out age ( 62) you just end up looking gaunt and scrawny ! My husband proved this point and had to put some weight back on. So please..is there a way to do this and not lose weight? Thanks

    Maybe on health benefits just do the 6.1 …just one fast per week, this is what people do when they get to the weight they want.

    You can always do 5:2, or any other form of intermittent fasting, and simply eat to your TDEE on your feed days.
    My understanding is that you’ll still benefit from the fast but won’t wither away.

    4 days of fasting at the beginning of each month will give you health benefits and you will regain most of the weight by the end of the month all of it if you have few extras. This may not be doable for some.
